  1. And, just testing, I think it could be done with a macro keyboard. My Logitech setup has some annoying quirks in that I can't seem to record in-game WITH key delays included, and recording a string outside the game doesn't quite work (it doesn't recognize that S is pressed during the jumps). But I'm sure it could be done. In-game, macro/bind, though... nope. That would be the kind of power-stringing the bind system was carefully designed to prevent.
  2. Well, without either praising or damning any gender politics viewpoint, I'll just suggest that technical issues alone (as Aberrant just showed) make gender-fluid sit emotes something of a low priority and/or near impossibility given the limits of the engine and modeling. There are a considerable number of game issues that need addressing before allowing your Supes-shaped toon to sit like Alice at a tea, or any verse vice-a.
  3. If there's any fractional way to implement up, or any jump, based on the duration of a key press as it's done in normal play, I can't think of it. You would have to use a macro keyboard with definable key intervals to do it. I will experiment with mine tomorrow to see if it can be done that way, but I can't think of any way to do it using standard slash commands and binds. The system just doesn't have any way to define fractional time inputs. It could be done using combat teleport or one of the other fast, short-range teleports, I think.
  4. Yes, I have a base entry code for my own base, just for speed and simplicity, and clicking the macro after calling up or reaching any portal is pretty trivial. Faster than even clicking the "Enter your own base" item on screen. And I keep the Fast Travel icon and the broken-out transporter icons in a tear-off tray not for access (since the FT collector power does that fine) but to keep track of recharge/availability.
  5. Thanks to all. IIRC, the little winter map was all that was available the 11 months of the year the Ski Chalet etc. wasn't. I knew there were ways to get to it... and frankly, none of the above ring a bell; was there another multi-map portal somewhere in between? But found it, know how to find it, and thanks.
  6. Yes, that's why companies like Disney come down on things like a school painting Mickey Mouse on a wall. The actual violation is below trivial...except that it creates a crack in the trademark/copyright that a more significant use could exploit as evidence that the 'mark is not being protected. Yes, Disney is a basket of a**holes, but they are not really that massively petty for no reason.
  7. And "Well, dammit, I wanna" is never a valid argument anyway.
  8. Got it, thanks. Isn't there a non-TP way to get here too?
  9. That's it... and you get there by...?
  10. I thought there was another, small winter map, not the ski chalet one. Can't remember/find...?
  11. There's another winter map somewhere, a small one with a skating pond and not much else. Where is it and howdya get there?
  12. Now there's a villain group we could all get some leveling from...
  13. Well, all gender fluidity and non-binariism and so forth aside. men and women don't sit the same. And an emote that makes a female toon sprawl in Theda Bara/Mae West fashion... may just not be the best idea. Nor a sit emote that has Superman daintily crossing his knees... Huh. Later thought... wouldn't a Pheromone power set be... interesting?
  14. Ah. My psionic powers tell me the number keys are system function keys as well... sounds like something is activating the 'Fn' shift key during the game. There might be some kind of applet or utility to disable that function completely, maybe even from Asus... just as my keyboards have a "gaming switch" that disable the Windows key. Consider plugging in a keyboard that lacks the Fn key. Me, I really hate laptops for their universal implementation of crappy ergonomics, but you might find a big keyboard at a comfy angle an asset anyway.
  15. And the new Upgrade function means you never have to buy them again (not retail, anyway). Just wait until they go white and hit Upgrade... bingo, you're +3 again.
  16. I have a... secretary lounging like that in my base. It's a specific NPC in base design, can't remember which offhand. /em sitbench2 is sorta the same... but only works with male toons. The emote is a prissy sit-up-straight for fems.
  17. Wouldn't monitoring combat numbers tell you more precisely? Info says 10% for five seconds, after a 0.5s delay; numbers tell the same tale. Or are you doubting the numbers vs. real effect?
  18. All props to Yomo and the others who drop Inf on newbs in various ways... I remember a few 100k drops back in the early days that both surprised me and made alt building a helluva lot easier. But you can also bootstrap pretty fast these days. Sell everything you get as a drop, unless it's an SO you can use (not combine!) One or two orange drops sold on the auction house will net 300k-1M at a swoop, a fortune to lower levels. Yeahbut, Inf just rains from the skies these days, even without clouds like Yomo. Not much to spend it on until you get to the serious crafting/IO etc. levels... at which point it's pouring in even faster. May as well SO up through the 20s.
  19. With SOs now available at the lowest levels... the starting strategy is to skip TOs (which had a purpose back in the earliest days, literally training users on how to use enhancements) and DOs, and buy only selected SOs until you can afford full slotting. Opinions vary on when to start messing with IOs etc. but I think the consensus is that they aren't worth much before mid-30s... you're better off selling all salvage and recipes (oranges on the market) and saving up/buying SOs and the new Upgrade as needed. Slot all damage for Acc first, no less than 1:1 with Dam: Acc, Acc Dam, Acc Acc Dam, and so forth. Acc=hits, which tops fewer hits with more Dam. Don't slot more than three of anything anywhere. 3 SOs = 96%+ boost; a fourth gets you to ~104%. There are very few builds that don't benefit from three slots in both Health and Stamina as soon as you can spare them. Cue four pages of intricate IO, set, attuned etc. recommendations. 🙂
  20. Huh. I have an annoying number of notifications and pop-ups from various things, and I don't think any have ever interrupted the game. The one app that does cause me problems is the replacement for sticky notes, "Simple Sticky Notes," which traps a number of key combinations like Alt-N and keeps them from working correctly in the game. My solution is to put a screen sticky note over the game icon to remind me to disable the app before starting play. Later thoughts: Are you sure it's just the number row? Not the rest of the keyboard.... do you have, or could you create a few simple binds to see? WASD-Space doesn't stop working? That would point to a specific app or routine interrupting things, not a general Windows intrusion.
  21. I'm beginning to suspect many of the user channels are like the traffic jam at the beginning of Office Space... busy until you add them. 😛
  22. That would be nice, but I'd also like to see the setting of the Friends list be sticky. It's tedious to have to drag the setting to global friends at the start of every session. Or at least implement a slash command that can result in a quick bind or macro.
  23. Did you look for DOCKS?
  24. There is, or used to be, a Vahz mission where a squad of V's would keep tracking you down across the zone (KR, if I remember). Shocked the hell out of me the first time it happened. Don't know DFB but it might be a rehash of that cute trick.
  25. We Hurlers already throw packages. Ain't that enough?
