  1. Please add... Giant rubber chicken as a weapon option. And a massive slice of pie 🥧
  2. I learned a few months back there's a building in atlas with a glass dome room at the top... That you can enter if you click on the door at the base of the building
  3. Also, nerf Regen, it's Wednesday.
  4. He is disinclined to acquiesce to your request. I am duly inclined to countenance his general supposition.

    Ice/Ice/?

I'm sad, you guys are seriously slacking. Here... Ice/Ice/BABY! 😋
  6. All fear the Nemesis Veng! Also, stacking is a Nemesis plot.
  7. I vote... Make a concept that makes her happy, as this is more about her. Pick an AT that can make her survivable and potent, as this will make her less frustrated. Her imagination will be best served by a super them that she really loves. If your character is one that is conceptually foreign to her imagination, it will be less immersive. Whatever that immersive duo is, let her sculpt the look, and you pick the sets that will support her best. Let her be the lead. You just run behind her holding the bicycle seat, until she's up, balanced and leaving you behind to soar while you cheer.
  8. Again, what's the point of this thread? Additionally, this was not an English lesson, as the occurence of grammar, punctuation and prose errors were prolific. Pointedly, please do not use derogatory terms that have very obvious bigoted undertones such as "chinglesh," as it is highly disrespectful. Lastly, to nullify any possible argument being attempted, please keep in mind the following, Language, a means of communication, is a set of signals used between 2 or more people. Language can be any ideas, symbols, signals and means agreed upon, that conveys meaning. In a language, the creation and formation of new "words" occurs continuously, as an addition is used, reused and becomes common. English, born as an amalgam of as many as 7 different previous languages (and a gutteral street language at that), is a figurative language. This means that it is rooted solely in thought, versus previous languages that were rooted in physical symbols, such as gestures. Because of this, English has 2 distinct characteristics. One, it has a strikingly different sentence structure, and two, where a vast majority of the language is composed of slang. Slang, the latter of these two, is the defining characteristic of English. Because of its history and nature, English creates, uses, discards and changes meanings of words more rapidly than all other languages. One need only review the word "dude" and it's numerous uses as evidence. Thus we see that the use of the word/term DPS may have begun life as an acronym (an abbreviation formed is using the initial letters of other words); however, as is normal and customary in the English language, it became a new word with its own meaning when its use and meaning were applied, accepted and became a common new word for another idea. Languages are exactly what we make them. Words are made up sounds that we use to convey meaning. Those words are anything we want. When a majority of a population accepts that term as common, the rules of a new word being created are satisfied. DPS is a word, NOW, similar to "ain't," "y'all," and "dude."
  9. Well then.... In THAT case, the real question is... ...how much should we NERF Regen?!?!111one1!
  10. Hi, to help support the back on topic: That's not quite how economics works. Rampant inflation is detrimental to economic health. This was, and is, proven. Prices have already come down. Please refer to all the detailed explenations here and the original thread. No vote.
  11. But the REAL question is... ...do you like 🥧?
  12. You did, you just think they're not good. It's cool, to each their own. However, I am starting to feel as though I'm getting my leg pulled here... Let's nerf Regen.
  13. Sorry man, this whole thread spiraled. I'm sorry to say, your proposition was tenuous at first, but it's untenable now. Still no vote.
  14. Sorry, I'm going to have to no vote the OP. Overall, the game is balanced fine further, this "hundreds of points" of difference referenced is perceptual bias. A very few things may need adjusting, but overall the game is fine.
  15. Don't you think it's a bit far to attribute to me the stance "throw all of redside in the trash and..." As I did not advocate this? I did highlight the issues. Since CoV inception I have pondered at length what would make it appealing. Everything about it that is unappealing is foundational. No quick fix will ameliorate that, unfortunately. If we're going to acknowledge a problem, let's actually acknowledge it. I understand there are people who enjoy redside; however, data speaks for itself, as the vast majority not only don't like it, they eschew it completely. By posting the honest foundational issues with CoV, we gain perspective. By viewing the full scope of the issue, we can craft strategy. A full rework, keeping the good and fixing the not as good, would absolutely be time intensive; however, what good is served by hiding the issues? Perhaps there will not be a full rework, due to resources, but at least ACKNOWLEDGING them allows for crafting a better attainable solution within the constraints.
  16. Here goes... Bad maps: navigation is tedious Bad villain groups: I'm sorry, snakes and spiders? They don't even look menacing Bad landscaping: good Lord it's depressing, so much dingy, poorly lit, drab and dank everything Few zones: so little to explore Bad storylines: I'm forced to be someone's b@tchmonkey, forever Poor AT cohesion: most villain ATs are designed to solo, making teaming less attractive I've tried, time and again, to love redside. I've wanted to try more ATs there. Every time I do, it's tedious. Best fix? Revamp the game so hero or villain starts as either on either side. Then, a villain can run amok in atlas, helping the skills, fighting the hellions for turf or fighting signature heroes. Let heroes start in red, let them fight the good fight from level one, constantly hiding and evading the baddies. Additionally, revamp the aesthetics. Better landscape, better pathing, better zone geometry. Less arachnos and snakes, more diversity. Less silyl plotlines where I'm someone's dumb-as-a-doorknob errand-moron. To start.
  17. What's the point of this thread? If the topic can't be stated in a single 3 sentance paragraph, it's not a cohesive topic.
  18. I believe PBAoE is a zero range AoE, with a radius, not Melee AoE. AoE are not tagged with melee or ranged also, they're just AoE. There were a few powers double tagged by mistake. To be clear, a power's actual function is distinct from its tag vs defense.
  19. It's fairy conclusive that publicly reprimanding an individual does not lead to positive behavioral modification. Overwhelmingly, it leads to resentment, anger, divisiveness and future escalation. It reenforces the exact behavior it was intending to ameliorate, eroding any possible successful positive change. Sociologically, in every well structured scientific study, humans have never responded positively to punishment, be it actual or perceived. Positive behavioral change, by and large, does not occur when an individual is in a distressed emotional state. Thus, in private, an individual may not feel attacked, defensive or otherwise unable to process information.
  20. It's extremely easy to react to your example in a civil, smart and manner. For example, "I often think otherwise. It's healthy to question everything." "The only foolish behavior is an insuistance that all opinions that conflict with mine are foolish." "A fool and his delusions are good company. Sadly, I find myself alone." "Courtly, the fool goeth. I thank you for your respect." Not hard at all. There's a difference between responding to someone and attacking them.
  21. Confirmed by a Dev, AoE is not also tagged ranged. There were a few powers that had multiple tags, erroneously, though most were not.
  22. Economics isn't a thing that people use on one another, or a cause. Economics is the revealing outcome of human behavior concerning resources that are finite, where wants and needs are infinite. It is an understanding of the decisions made therein and how we all interact with each other in an ecosystem, ECOnomics. It's not ugly, or beautiful, or anything else; it is evidence of outcomes. Shall I go on?
  23. Hello @Patti I see you have put the confused face on a significant number of posts. If economic principles and matters thereof are confusing, I'm happy to explain. Or, are you using the confused face for some other reason?
  24. No thanks on an overhaul, they're good as is. The PFF should make you rethink your tactics, working as intended. Vengeance is murderous to defense toons, and also makes them hard to hit. It also stacks, making s tactical change necessary. Everyone forgets this: nemesis have huge perception on certain NPCs, they see you far off and through stealth. They do huge AoE. The bots leave auto hit gas patches that stack, don't hang out in the aftermath of 6 dead bots. Bosses are very tough and corpse explode on death. Well then, as a diverse, difficult, tactically different group of foes, the Nemesis look spot on for quality design. The offer challenge, require a more advanced tactical approach to defeat quickly and are highly lethal.
