The nature of event occurence under largely random variables dictates that statistical representation will be generally uniform about the median in a bell shape. To validate this, please conduct an experiment where in all variables but one are controlled, in this case your attempts to attack and record a sample size of 30-50. Plot those into a single factor anova regression analysis. You will discover that the r-square value will be high, the confidence high, the p value quite low and that accuracy is exactly where is should be based on the forumlae in the code. Or, trust the multiple tests conducted and chalk your one occurence up to random variation on a small sample size and perceptual bias.

So, why does everything have to be soloable? Conversely, should every set be equally team buffsauceable? -
More importantly... Nerf Regen.

If a rhyme you seek, be it perverser sleek, Then so shall you find, but keep this in mind; An eloquent skein of tales and trope, Would hardly suffice if adroitly remote. So shall I labour colossally, To weave a tale fit for three. A giant, a gentle, a lady alone, A prison eternal, fashioned of stone. A hero enamored, at honor's behest, Through hot, through cold and sleep bereft. With valor and mettle the battle laid bare, To serve the code of charge d'honneur. Valiantly standing upon chivalry, A hero, a lady, a courtly decree. Our hero now conquered, mundane now we see, That deftly the lady wrought true victory.

new feature New Feature: In-Game Polling System
SwitchFade replied to MetaVileTerror's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
So, one person and three forum accounts that that one person posts on. I'm not sure how to view that at the moment. I'm fairly certain that used to be frowned upon. I'm sure it's perfectly within rules here, but... Something feels off about someone posting on multiple accounts. What's to stop them from swinging voting or statistics? Or, quoting/supporting their own content? Hmm. -

Contacts and the Outleveling Issue
SwitchFade replied to Emperor Cole's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
OP, instead of asking for civility, you support people who blatantly insult another's person, versus discussing the actual merit and explenations of the idea. In the future I may find it difficult to consider your views credibly, knowing that you advocate such behavior Sorry, contacts and level ranges are fine as they are. Hard no vote. -

Contacts and the Outleveling Issue
SwitchFade replied to Emperor Cole's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Your opinion is your own and not fact. It was ambiguous, due to the fact it was not clear. You interpret it one way, which is merely your perspective, not evidence. Your choice to be wilfully disrespectful with personal insults is questionable, at best. You can be as disrespectful as you like, that merely serves to highlight a lack of coherent data to support your claim. Further, your insistence that your personal interpretation is unassailable truth renders any judgement you may have circumspect. I would caution against such declarations, as the saying goes, "wisdom and folly walk hand in hand." -
Contacts and the Outleveling Issue
SwitchFade replied to Emperor Cole's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Thanks for your interpretation. And it WAS ambiguous. ASSUMING he meant leave the contact open, do you out level the MOBs then, in said missions from said contact? Yes, you do. So, you out leveled it. Did he mean, keep the context and out level the MOBs? Still out leveled in one way, but open. Did mean keep the contact at the missions remain similar level? We don't know from the OP. Which is why I addressed both and said it was ambiguous. Making assumptions that he wants gray con foes when he did not straw that, is an interpretation. Just because you interpret it one way, does not mean it was DEFINITE. For example, if I said I want to keep my contacts, what does that mean? Keep them, how? Inactive? Active? Assumptions lead to misunderstanding. -
Is Orbiting Death that useful for Tri Form?
SwitchFade replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in Peacebringer & Warshade
Orbiting debt is pretty much useless for a well built triformer. You won't have slots to spare You will have to turn it back on You won't be in human long enough for it to work You won't live long if you wait for it to work It really should be a toggle that carries over to tank forms -
Weekly Discussion 49: Alternate FX/Animations.
SwitchFade replied to GM Miss's topic in General Discussion
The old taunt mad sound. AaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaahhhhhh Keep all current animation, done delete any. Flight alternates! Continue adding low fx options I'll think of more. -
I would absolutely yes vote an elec buff, as it was always weak, the balance reason being END drain flavor. The issue with end drain is, it's only effective if you can get a MOB to zero end and keep them there. Often, a single tick of end recovery is enough to continue attacking. Further, hardened targets have massive recovery and END pools Additionally, the sentinel version of elec blast is superior to the blaster one mechanically, and I vote should be the blaster version as well. This has all been covered in multiple threads about elec though, so I'm just rehashing old material.

You should add this to the consolidated costume request thread.

Contacts and the Outleveling Issue
SwitchFade replied to Emperor Cole's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Thunder, adding another straw man to your original makes it clear you're not interested in coherent dialog. The OP was not clear AT ALL, relying on ambiguous interpretation. My ORIGINAL REPLY addressed all of them, vis a vi, open grey arcs, out-leveled content, scaling of MOBs and so forth. If you're really going to pursue such a course, be sure you have proof. -
I don't think electric blast was ever nerfed, it was just always weak. So, do you mean "buff electric blast"?

Hmm. Bruising was applied by the t1 attack, so.... Many tanks don't use t1... Doing more damage isn't edge, it's normal play, as your gauntlet's aggro attaining capability is better than before and you'll have all the milkshakes in the yard on you... Which means your bigger AoE will hit more stuff, for higher damage... ...which is proof that tanks are actually, in almost all situations, better and more potent than before, in the scenarios we have been discussing. That's not semantics. But you did actually say "gauntlet is gone" and that is incorrect. Being that gauntlet and bruising are two very different things, the fact you said it is gone and discussed bruising may have been an error; however, correcting that error doesn't render the person who corrected it incorrect, especially if it was cogent, coherent, competent and compelling. Say THAT twelve times, quickly =D

I always find these threads amusing and the people who show up declaring tanks are gone, I won't play my tank, tanks are worse than... And in game it's always "this will be tough with no tank," "we need a tank," "so and so team of tank," and even the brutes are hesitant. People, those of us posting here are the drastic minority. Playing at 50 is not the norm. Most players in game are in between 1-50, and a great many of them do not have optimized full io builds. In most scenarios, with SO's and generic io's, a tank is much better than a brute from 5-40. It's easy to substantiate claims of "tanks not needed," in meta. Heck, neither are controllers. Or blasters. Or, defenders. I. Facts, nothing is. Dial back to 35 on generic io's, thank God there's a tank around

Contacts and the Outleveling Issue

Holding fast to a straw man argument does not invalidate fact. Your choice to quote and argue a point that was your own renders your argument incorrect Be mindful that I never argued that story arcs don't remain open, I actually stated they do, in a CONVERSE case. Your choice to ignore that is questionable. MY choice to use "some" vs "ALL" is sound, as I have no first hand EVIDENCE that every single story arc in the game functions this way from direct empirical observation, so stating as much would be risky. -

Always happy to hear from individuals that police spelling, especially those that fail to ask if it was due to using a phone and correction. Sorry, he is wrong in quoting a selection of a post to argue a point that he made up himself, i.e. a straw man. Your contribution supporting such fallacy, as well as your need to tritely resort to spelling errors, is futile. Look closely, I never argued that story arcs don't stay open.
