  1. Uh, you're mathing wrong. That's not a percent in parens, that's end.
  2. Again, I noted that the balance of the set is fine, but that several animations look horrendous. I asked, of possible, that the old animations be made available as alternatives. An example of terrible is the attack that looks like a ridiculous one-two punch, just with long stabby blades on your hands. Another terrible animation is a low gut-jab-punch style animation. Ack. The old animations were a frenzied multi-swipe, and another swipe. I didn't say the set is slow, or underperforming. It's solid. And looks stupid.
  3. Yes, I am fully aware that it was intentional, that's why I'm suggesting changing it. It doesn't make things more challenging, it just makes things more annoying. I vote no. It is a fun part of the game, I do not believe that everything should be simple.
  4. The multi swipe animation was amazing though... *Cries*
  5. At some point, in the ongoing balancing of claws and other general irrelevancies, we meandered squarely into the realm of mediocrity for the set. Claws was, during animation tuning and damage/recharge balancing, a set on test that could soundly drub a rikti pylon about the head and ears. As comically absurd as this was, it highlights a point not of power or balance, but of mundanity. The current animations are horktastic. They are inane in sum, even though several are acceptable. Thus, I propose... If they are available, and animation timing allowing, please make available the old claw animations as an alternate. I do think that the set is capably powerful and balanced enough for now, it just looks horrendous, and not in a cheeky way. As always, this is obviously not a high priority and may be relegated to Canon fodder, should the time/return not be in balance. I thank you. *Bows*
  6. This was intentional, no map is by design.
  7. This is client side. There are a number of factors that can cause this kind of issue. The only real way to diagnose it is to monitor system events as they are posted during such activity to see what system resource is bogging down.
  8. Don’t worry Switchfade, I often wholly misunderstand your posts. Thanks for clarification Erydanus, that’s how I thought I remembered those events happening. Verily.
  9. Agreed CoH is everybody official everything. Please close this thread.
  10. Ok, I'll help. I will remake my darkity-dark dark dominator on excelsior redside, level up, top mission and then alignment convert to hero. No really, I'm serious, she's only lvl 3, so I will remake on red.
  11. Devs, this thread is counterproductive to human integration as a core concept now. There's no reason to create perceptions of inclusion and exlusion, we are all included and all humans. Please close this thread before it spirals.
  12. That's NOT how it worked on live. The incoming and outgoing damage scaled properly to them from low level players even if they did have an internal level of 30. That's the same giant monster code you see on things like the Kraken in Perez Park. If invasions spawned only level 30 mobs and crushed level 5 players routinely there'd have been absolute hell raised about it when they launched and it did not. It would also mean things like the Deadly Apocalypse for Halloween couldn't have been done by newbies in Atlas Park. I went to lunch and am back with a couple additional thoughts: 1. mob scaling is not broken. On a low level character in King's Row, not teamed, I was able to fight event mobs without any problems. The issue is anemic spawns. Additionally Venture commented that invasions make zones tough to street sweep during them; that's still happening. The full invasion protocol including regular spawns getting sparse is happening. It's just that the event is a waste of time due to excluding 1-24 players from the invasion mechanic even in zones populated by characters primarily that level. 2. Responding to SwitchFade: You seem to wholly misunderstand the point of this comment. Events are not skipping low level zones. They are happening, and they are usually duds. The sky turns red, low level players gather and no zombies show up, everyone gets bored and leaves; if a few high level players are around a few zombies spawn. Venture's comment about the mobs being above your level and you needing to sidekick is completely wrong. These events spawn mobs that level scale to you even if they have an internal level that is higher. These events scale to your level, they always have, they are not "superboy mobs attacking superdog players". 3. Additionally SwitchFade your comment: "Further, zone wide events are supposed to be daunting, and lowbies should either be teaming with a more experienced mentor, or running for cover. This fits thematically with life, and source material." To this I say: NO. Don't tell me how to play the game. This is your idea and not mine. If I'm level 8, in King's Row, and a zombie invasion happens, I should be able to stand there and fight some zombies if I want to, solo if I want to. Additional information: events like Zombie Apocalypse use the same type of mechanics as Rikto Invasions: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Rikti_Invasion_Mechanics Scaling against mobs works similarly to giant monsters though I vaguely recall it's slightly tweaked for mass invasion mobs, still, similar: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Giant_Monster Thank you for your opinion. I notice you have "wholly" misunderstood my post.
  13. Let's just put this one to bed. People are people. All people are ok. All good people are welcome, and our unique facets make us all valuable. Everyone good is welcome everywhere, and there's no discrimination, of any form. We live, we love, we grow and we learn. Together, always, in all things.
  14. I vote.... ...dupin' rares. And, no.
  15. Thanks, I appreciate it! Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun doing me, using the powers that I want, the enhancements that I want and building the hero that I want, doing missions and reading everything. The first missions for Twinshot made me laught a lot. But I'm playing alone, while I'm trying to solo everything, right now I'm stuck on Veles cause I can't beat him alone, thats why I'm asking how to properly ask for help cause the chat doesn't seems to have anyone that never played before, I don't see anyone asking for help with these silly things so I felt strange about flooding the chat with this. If you would like company in missions, click in the lfg chat tab and post something in the flavor of: LvL "xx" missions in "xx zone" LFM! Anyone want in? Let's say you're lvl 10 and your missions are in Kings row, it would be: LvL 10 missions in Kings row, LFM! Anyone want in? Or LvL 10 twinshot arc missions, anyone want to join me? LF more! LF is looking for, or LFM is looking for more. People will then message you asking to join, you click their name in the chAt box and invite. Once they join click the missions drop down box and set the mission, and then everyone can see it.
  16. Also, don't worry about getting all the powers, or the wrong ones, get the ones that sound fun, and try them. You can always respec.
  17. First, don't jump in groups that are dfb or dib, or any other sort of silly powerleveling. Have fun. Go to your origin contacts in the basement of the atlas building, if you're on blueside, and do missions and read the story arc context. Have fun. Learn about the game. Don't worry about if you're leveling too fast or slow or if powers suck. Spend time in the costume creator. Have fun. Don't worry about trying to slot properly, or min/max, have fun. Slot those silly enhances that drop, or don't and sell them. Save up your cash. Read the forums, guides and advice about the archetype you pick. Have fun. Use the lfg channel to find people that are lf people in your level range to join their team, and try your hardest. If any jerk gives you a hard time, rare in this co?unity, leave and join another team. And have fun. You'll be 20, then 30, then 40 before you know it. Ask questions in game, vets will all stop to help, and be glad to guide you. Explore the options menu to configure your keybinds or your display. Spend time in the costume creator. And have fun. And msg me anytime on excelsior for advice, tips, and guidance.
  18. No-one is forcing you to run DFB, and if someone else hits 50 before you do, it does not change one single thing about your life that you do not *let* it change. Sure, as long as everyone keeps dfb spam out of any comm channel, then it *won't* affect anyone. Until then, it actually does affect people.
  19. I understand, and I didn't understand that there's a "damage formula" or derivation between AoE range and damage. Although if we're being completely straight, it could be changed to have a larger aoe and still retain it's damage and number of targets, which I STILL think is reasonable. Especially considering the servers are slightly laggy and I have to sit in place for half a second before using a cone skill, or else it registers I used it from a different position and i only hit one enemy. But that might be a personal problem. I see your opinion, and disagree, as both another cone and high single Target dps is unreasonable.
  20. I hope they can dupe me an ith how. Oh, and an occy soj. Oh! And some hex charms. Let's dupe.
  21. While technically true in regards to SR being able to softcap, bare in mind that soft cap is not a 95% chance to not get hit as enemy level and designation scales up. At +4/boss, soft cap is questionable, and elude does have value. Soft cap only floors an enemy chance to hit you down to 5% in certain situations. That said, someone will be able to post the values under which elude may be perma-able, as I cannot from my mobile, at work. Softcap floors the enemies chance to hit you down to 5% in all situations barring the enemy having to hit buffs or defense debuffs: And exceeding the softcap gives you better protection if the enemy had Defense Debuffs Which is why I mentioned what I did. There are certain situations where softcap is not 5% chance

  23. I disagree, and must vote no. Being lvl 10 in KR and suddenly getting killed by an event from a level 25 would be undesirable. Likewise, the effort necessary to change how the spawns work for level may create unintended consequences. Further, zone wide events are supposed to be daunting, and lowbies should either be teaming with a more experienced mentor, or running for cover. This fits thematically with life, and source material. We would not expect super dog to fight foes that super boy would, he would team up with his mentor. We would not expect adolescents to bear unnecessary risk in times of emergency or catastrophy, but they may assist competent adults. Currently, I must vote no change.
  24. Unfortunately, I cannot consider this change at this time, as the evidence supporting the change is anecdotal. At this time I must unfortunately vote no. However, should this be a strong belief for change, I encourage further research, in order to produce data that empirically shows that the current state is in some way broke, an aberation that was unintended, or underperforming abnormally. Thematically, this narrow cone is as intended, and not one you would position for, much like other attacks that are described as hitting so hard they may even travel through the target to foes directly behind.
