  1. You're missing the concealed Arachnos reprogramming of the pop-out turrets in the hall outside -- they'll pop out and start attacking the Longbow there, who will fight back.
  2. But taking them out would remove the utterly irreplaceable time they waste going to the mission entrance, entering, seeing that it's a cave mission, then exiting and abandoning the mission to get a new one. And this would, of course, be only a preface to going through every mission in the game to make sure they're not using the cave map tileset or one of its analogs -- for example, all of the Council maps would have to be redone, since they're based on the cave tileset with additional structures added -- and all to satisfy their distaste for the cave map tileset.
  3. Go with the feeling. And welcome to the club; there's an open bar in the corner. You may have problems finding a seat; there are so many of us here.
  4. I had two IOs, both in tray 7, at the time. I finally tried on another character, and everything worked normally, so it may have been a glitch specific to the character.
  5. Yes.
  6. You're just missing the visual receptors in your eyes to be able to tell them apart... 😁
  7. First thing I tried, nothing in either the Bidding or Bought tabs, then I tried making the purchase again, same result -- bid on 5, showed 4 purchased and 1 still with an open bid, when I clicked 'Get' the four disappeared from the 'Bought' tab and vanished.
  8. I have made three separate attempts to buy level-50 crafted Recharge IOs on the auction house, and in all three cases, the AH shows me as having purchased them, along with the expenditure of influence for their purchase, and when I hit the 'Get' button for my purchase, the IOs disappear from the 'Bought' section of the AH window... and do not appear in my inventory. The latest only a minute or so ago. On Excelsior, character Bolon Dzakab, in Talos Island.
  9. And it's been an uncorrected fault since the history badges were put in the game back on Live, but the plaque at [-1147.4 225.7 5684.0] in Talos Island (on the east side of the central island) recounts how Spanky Rabinowitz was born on that very street in 1878. The history of the island describes how it is the result of a battle between Talos and Chimera, which the canon timeline places in the 1960s. Spanky could not have been born on that street, as the street, not to mention the island that it stands on, would not exist for another eighty years.
  10. Random NPC dialog in the Hollows: [NPC] Outcast Initiate Chopper: I'm going to be the snot out of the next guy I see. That should be "going to beat the snot out of", I believe.
  11. And you have all of the neatly-manicured hedges in the hazard zones that regular civilians don't travel to. And the same goes for all of the non-abandoned office maps you find in the hazard zones; someone's getting the janitorial staff in and out to do their work, and I don't think the regular mobs in the zones would be interested.
  12. So a six-foot-tall character, 72 inches would have their height increased by 1.08 inches (1.5% of 72), giving them a new height of 73.1"... head and shoulders above the 'mini-me' costumes, but little else. Did you perhaps mean increasing to 1.5x your normal size, or 150% of normal?
  13. I don't recall checking with the divining rod, but the Lost Curing Wand also does not increment the defeat count for Lost bosses, so it may be applying an internal 'force kill' effect on the target that bypasses all of the XP and badge count checks. Since it's an automatic result and not an actual defeat per se, this is logical both for the lack of XP and lack of badge count increment.
  14. There appears to be a miniscule gap between the sidewalk and the plinth that the hospital sits on just west of the murder motel in Peregrine Island. I have chased runners from the ToTing at the murder motel as they run west, and watched them jump into the joint between the sidewalk and plinth, dropping beneath the terrain. This behavior is identical to a similar issue that existed just north of the north row of buildings in Founders Falls early in the game back on Live, where there was a miniscule gap between two planes of pavement, and the Fifth Column spawns in the area would jump through this gap, then run through the water under the map to a location SSE on the west side of the parking lot south of the university and jump back up through a similar gap between pavement and grass.
  15. ...with the stereotypical "Don't call me 'sir'; I work for a living" retort from sergeants. And you'll get the occasional jerk, as well; I remember the senior NCO in the IT department I worked in who got promoted to E-9 who would get offended if you referred to him simply as 'Chief', instead of 'Master Chief', no matter how informal the setting (unless the person doing so was an officer, in which case he'd just be bent out of shape and would be even more anal about it to the rest of the department, including the civilians, afterward).
  16. You also have an odd effect -- I don't know if it's just visual, or has actual in-game effects, since Heather has no attacks -- if you enter her personal story mission with Hasten active; the Hasten activation visuals will go on continuous loop through the entire mission, restarting as soon as the previous iteration stops.
  17. And for another situation where the same problem occurs, there is a similar solution: /macroimage "WheelofFortuneFortune" "LvOro" "enterdoor 258.9 670.8 -764.5 P" When used in proximity to the entry portal in Ouroboros, it brings up the Ouroboros departure window, letting you select your destination zone and exit Ouro without having to snake your mouse through the press of people and pets idling around the portal.
  18. Not surprising at all, really.... (NSFW link)
  19. I have no idea what caused it, and going back this evening, I was unable to get the effect to reproduce -- I would either get 'Treat' and a costume or salvage piece, or 'Trick' and a spawn. If I hadn't gotten that effect from several different doors, I would have said that it was a one-off quirk and not thought anything more of it. I will say that' it's enormously more convenient to be able to run up near a door and knock instead of trying to snake my mouse pointer past the click boxes of the mobs that are in front of the door, and I will be using the macros on other characters.
  20. Mathilda May. While it's been literally decades since I read the novel it was adapted from, Colin Wilson's The Space Vampires, what I remember is that she and her two male companions were the only humanoid occupants among the thousands of creatures in the hibernation cells in the alien ship that was discovered, and they had been made human-like in order to be taken back to Earth to drain energy from the lifeforms of the planet and channel it back to the ship to awaken the other occupants.
  21. I don't care if whatever I'm dragging into the AH window gets parceled out into stacks of 10 per auction slot, as long as I can drag the entirety of a big stack into the AH in one move, rather than doing it ten at a time. Being able to check a box for "Post all identical items at this price" and have them all go up with one selection would just be lagniappe.
  22. From what I've seen of them, and the related 'shrunk' Monstrous Aether pets, I'm not sure that they're worth the cost, with the achondroplastic proportions of the 'mini-character' model; they just look wrong.
  23. I had an interesting situation when I tested the macros. PI1 was full, so I went to PI2, which was abandoned except for a Nemesis Cuirassier and two Jaegers; I'd apparently caught the opening of the second zone instance before it could generate a ToT league. I moved my character near the right-side door on the ground floor and fired off the macro -- and was treated to five minutes of the door opening and remaining open while a succession of mobs came out of the door and immediately despawned. Moving around, I verified that it does in fact only check one door of the pair in a corner due to the ordering of the enterdoor commands in the macro, and was eventually able to get three separate doors to spawn 1) a single minion, 2) another single minion, and 3) a Crone Matriarch. I got another instance of the repeated 'come out the door and despawn' cycle, two salvage treats, and a costume power treet from the doors that didn't return 'Trick'.
  24. 'Quintus' is one of the limited number of praenomen used by the Romans, 'Elerius' is his cognomen, and denotes membership in one of the known gens of the period, Eleria. If he was the fifth born, he would likely have a different praenomen, and his name would be something like "M. Elerius Quintus", or even "M. Elerius Alaricus Quintus" -- 'Marcus, of the gens Eleria, son of Alaric, the fifth'. This last would generally only be used in written records.
  25. I didn't start having to work at it until I got my first 9600 baud modem, but then I've always had a high reading speed. I remember finding the cardstock-and-spring tachitoscope (sort of like the one in this patent) my parents had, working up through the settings until the fastest one was still too slow, and trying to get it to work faster.
