Can we have an option to choose between Aim or Bean Bag?
Solvernia replied to KC4800's topic in Open Beta Testing
Delete Beanbag and replace with Aim. Nobody actually wants to keep beanbag except contrarians who oppose all change out of principle, and the opinions of contrarians aren't meaningful or relevant to improving a powerset. -
Sentinel Pistol Suppressive Fire damage nerfed
Solvernia replied to Starhammer's topic in Bug Reports
Suppressive Fire is DP's strongest ST attack when properly slotted, even on Blasters. -
While it's nice to have the ground effects to show you the radius, it's ultimately unnecessary, and I could do without having a giant swirling vortex around my character 24/7. A minimal FX option would honestly make it a lot better.

If you have the sheathed weapon option turned on then your character will briefly have their sword sticking through their chest when the draw animation is performed. This is not present on the legacy weapon model.

So imagine our Devs decided to go for CoH 2...

If you want to assault people with dildos there's always Saints Row -
And this is why you don't buy a Mac. Never let anything or anyone else but you decide what software you're allowed to use.

In Dual Blades there's a 'Flaming Sword' model on Left Blade that is identical to "Fire and Ice Sword - Elemental".

Focused Feedback: Storm Blast
Solvernia replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Alternatively, you can just not worry about having 95% to-hit vs everything. Especially vs +4, which is a boring damage sponge grindfest that no reasonable person would specifically build for. -
You can still do the TF without getting the badge... or without incarnate powers. In fact a decent tanker should be able to *solo* level 54 ITF. Especially a Dark/Dark, considering I could do it on my SR/WM no problem. Honestly, missions where people die a lot are a lot more fun than mindless steamroll, because then you can organize them, and get them to use tactics, etc. I ran 54x8 PI radio missions plus a safeguard with a team of random lowbies that way, even though people died multiple times per mission. But just reminding them to use their insps and to stick together worked wonders, combined with liberal use of revival/resuscitator on my end. And it wasn't even council only! But I guess giving up and calling it dogshit is easier ᖍ(ツ)ᖌ

Skill issue

So the TF was going fine and you quit... why, exactly? Why didn't you rez the people that died? Or at least give them a wakie? Very confusing story. It just sounds like you got mad that it was going too slow and ragequit.

When one persons RP and world building intrudes on everything
Solvernia replied to DrunkFlux's topic in Roleplaying
Playing RP characters that pretend to be powerful (but in reality they aren't) is fun! -
Just ran a patron arc at 35 last night and the experience was identical to what you're talking about. Turns out a full team of controllers/dominators/corruptors is pretty squishy if you're not careful. If we tried to just steamroll everything mindlessly we died, but with a bit of tactics and coherency we were able to succeed. You can still play the game the 'old way'. Or any way you want. It's really up to you.

Base Building in Linux: 360 Rotation
Solvernia replied to Trauma Junkie's topic in Base Construction
If base building works in Windows but not Linux, the solution then is to use Windows if you want to base build. -

When one persons RP and world building intrudes on everything
Solvernia replied to DrunkFlux's topic in Roleplaying
What you do with yourself, and what you think of others, is always your choice, and your choice alone. If you don't enjoy the way someone else interacts with you then that's your choice. And If you choose to not like them, then you can also make the choice to not interact with them. Sure, you can always choose to interact with someone who you've chosen to not like. But I choose to think that's a pretty stupid thing to do. -
But you could always rewrite the game engine.... or apply a pinch of black magic to make it work despite the limitations. Like I said, just a matter of time and talent.
-
We have the source code, so nothing is infeasible. It just depends whether it's worth the time and talent to implement.

Sure. Pepperoni, cheese, pineapple textures, it's all good.
