What Is the **WORST** AT/PowerSet Combination?
kiramon replied to _NOPE_'s topic in General Discussion
Necro/poison 38 when you realize venomous cloud is not 100% uptime/toggle so your pets just continue to die every few seconds 😛 I realize necro/poison is thematic and has been around a long time; but I found it to be a horrible time — and I LIKE poison -
I built up my necro/thermal fully iod and for the most part they become super survivable!! But they were still too slow to be enjoyable on a team 😞 maybe I’ll try wolves ...
-
I wonder if you understand my argument never applied to people that click random powers in the power select screen. As I said, you can build against it if you want. But I’ll clarify If you’re trying to optimize your build, and take the path of least resistance, they’re pretty set.
-
That’s true. You can beat the game using only brawl. you do you
-
it’s not easy to make up the layers of defense you get from the power pools on a lot of ATs. Feel free to share your elite builds tho: I’ll wait
-
I bet we could get metrics proving your builds are pretty common on the new players. Doesn’t make it wrong, we’re talking people with some brain work put into their builds here, not the people that don’t use mids or try to soft cap
-
Snipe is good: proton volley is a bit more annoying due to its tick nature, so it doesn’t get the full oomph of others but still really good. Haze I found to be really slow... irradiate and proton bomb thing are good

Players that took their shields/buff powers, but don't use them

Sometimes there are just fails 🙂 -
That’s cool, but travel is the least relevant part of ANY of those sets.

Big bubble can softcap the majority of players who put even a semblance of thought into their build -
Kin is primarily targeted aoe - that is, aoe around your target. Fire has hot feet and cinders that are pbaoe- they do a “sphere” around your character rather than your target.
-
That’s exactly how it works
-
I guess I’m trying to decide if the heals can make things feel better for jumping into mobs or if trying to get more defense would be better
-
the melee side more than makes up for it and when you go recharge heavy you rarely have to touch the bird
-
Power pools are set unless you specifically build against them leaping speed fighting leadership you can sub in concealment or flying in place of leader or leaping, but most characters are confined to the above. Sad really. you do see some builds with sorcery so that’s okay
-
A ranged mass levitate would be nice tnh
-
I mean, mind/psi is literally like it. i wouldn’t put earth into its bucket - elec, dark, and plant are tho. Agree on savage
-
I have a surface laptop and it runs the game like I would consider crap - mostly from particles. I do have it enabled to always launch coh with the Nvidia card rather than integrated, but it still chugs around - which is sad cuz this laptop kills the duo core crap I used when cov came out lol

My fire farmer is savage. Does me well.

Wanting to give Rad/Rad a go...1st Rad Armor experience
kiramon replied to Doc Ranger's topic in Brute
Rad is more “fun” than electric in terms of its clickies, I think! -

Sometimes team doesn’t need em. nowadays teams are so spread and destroy it’s just annoying to get anyone and becomes like it used to be buff x7 lol i usually just do the door gather and that’s enough at 50. sonic is under appreciated, but a lot of people cap defense and leave their resistance in the 50s, so it has much more actual usage than FF later on at least -
considered switching around the roots to spears, but not sure that's worth much... with ragnarok and changing strangler to be more damage focused
-
Help with a build please... I wanted to go Melee, but decidedly not easy to do and still attain perma dom, I think? Already gave up strangler for procs which I'm not a fan of -- but I think I got to a better point? With Perma hasten, perma dom, and perma mind link (which should put me at 44.7% ranged and 32.5% melee,, though I would prefer it be opposite I think since there is so much melee in this set... ); I can change the ragnaroks in fissure for explosive strikes set to get to 45%, but it loses 20 damage. Wanting to give Rad/Rad a go...1st Rad Armor experience
kiramon replied to Doc Ranger's topic in Brute
How do resist sets work out in the end? Resist in general seem fairly subpar compared to defensive sets, but not sure if getting to 90% (or 85) makes it comparable to an SR or something.
