This ^ Spent part of the day runnin my nrg/bio/soul scrapper and between barrier, shadowmeld and all the absorption, she's damn hard to kill in normal content. ITF will still kick her ass with her current build, though.

I'm guessin it's the normal +damage is more beneficial to scrappers and tanks since, especially in your case, the +dam from offensive mode is drowned out by fury and rage. You're not getting nearly the same usefulness from it. However, a brute can say screw that, and run in defensive mode, be tougher by far than the scrapper and fury/rage will counter the -damage quite well.

Figured this would be the best place for this question. Do the debuffs from the Achilles Heel Chance for DR Debuff stack or do they just refresh the duration? Say, if I had them slotted in all of Rad Melee's ST attacks...

I'd be quite happy to turn on player debuffed, enemies buffed and no insps far more regularly... if it improved rewards at all.

Based entirely off of "no incarnate powers slotted" TFs with otherwise cranked to the gills builds I've been involved with, I'd have to argue that the power creep from IOs has been far more detrimental overall, even considering the ridiculousness of Judgement overuse.

I'd be happy with just SOME mez protection. Otherwise, meh, I'll build a sentinel and deal with the lower damage. I hate faceplanting.

That plus the scrapper AT IOs bumping up crit chances push the scrapper way above the brute. Another note on that, brutes may have more consistent damage once they've ramped up, but against hard targets, those crit chances become VERY consistent; to the point that you can math it out on paper and see damn near identical values with pylon times. Before those IOs were added? Sure, brutes were close enough that there wasn't a reason to roll a scrapper instead. It's why my main claws/sr was a brute when the servers shut down. Now? Scrappers win on the damage front. Course, it's all become enough of a mess that BZB has three bodies on Excelsior.

Willpower would. The thing that jumps out at me most with mace/regen is that mace does have some long animations and for a click-happy set like regen, that could easily mean faceplants. With WP, otoh, you won't have to worry about that and you'll be tougher all around.

Yes, tanks were overbuffed at last pass. But it don't matter cuz nuthin's gettin changed. If you team all the time and aren't concerned with solo gameplay, the brute will often shine thanks to all the incoming buffs from your teammates on either the damage or mitigation sides of things. While rare, sure, a brute at the caps is a sight to behold. Solo, however, a brute falls behind both the scrapper and the tank. Who the hell wants almost tank damage with almost scrapper mitigation values? Yes, the taunt auras and the ability to take Taunt are nice. EDIT: Yea, that's a glass half-empty view. You could say that the brute has slightly better damage than the tank with slightly better mitigation thanks to higher HP and caps than the scrapper but you're still dishing out less damage than the scrapper and taking a hell of a lot more damage than the tank. That said, chasing fury can be its own reward. It's a nice reason to fully give in to the scrapperlock.

To the topic of teach a man to fish or give him one... does it really matter which one if we just go on our own path not caring what others do afterwards?

I respond when I feel the desire to. I have absolutely zero rules on handing out builds, although I have noticed that I'll throw out my main's if the requestor is asking for anything claws or sr related far more than other builds. I look at a lot of builds if I'm seeking info and ideas so the more builds posted to the forums, the better. We can't help but learn from each other and learning is good, yes?

Just ran a solo ITF and even when laying down darkest night, I didn't have a single AV go into skidaddle mode. This was on a shield/em tank.

1hr23mins Max diff, no temps, no insps edit: and no amps! I guess that's still mildly tolerable. And I got lucky pull on 2nd mish with the straight path map.

Yes, it takes longer and is less fun due to the whiffing. Yes, I can change tactics and slow myself down even more to at least see less whiffing but the end outcome is the same. Or I could respec a bit (it's never a bit, it's time consuming.) But gods below... the extra effort... That said, gonna go solo a standard max diff, no insps, no temps and I'll report back with the time. Best time so far with my shield/em tank was 1.25 hours. Sorry, Werner, enemies were not buffed and they won't be this time either!

It's worse than you think. AVs are running away even IF taunted. If it was intentional, seems it was done to make those with immobilizes more useful.

On that topic, my memory is failing. Was being able to start TFs solo ever a thing on live or did that happen with the SSPS and carry over to HC?
