  1. I knew it was on something other than genetic contamination, just couldn't remember which. I use DNA Siphon quite a bit too. I did not remember it's on Evolving armor which may explain why my speedruns of Heather Townsend with stealth + SS always end in me dragging half the map.
  2. Too weird you ask? NEVER. In the words of Al Jourgenson, "Halloween is every day. Mmm-bop mmm-bop-bop."
  3. That's how I feel too Frosticus. I don't always look forward to playing mine, but after about 15 minutes I don't want to stop.
  4. Farm inf, play the market, TFs for the merits-> converters. It used to be Hamidon when it was broken, but I don't do that much now.
  5. Bio has one, but I can't really say how strong it is honestly. But I will say if you like Shield, you would definitely like Bio too.
  6. Hahah, that's one of my friend's favorite sayings. "Don't start none, won't be none."
  7. It's not just you. I've found myself "going first" with controllers, corruptors, and even my TA/Water defender who should not really ever go first. But I'm of the opinion that making bad calls is better than being unable to make calls, right?
  8. Honestly, although I loved tanks in the live game and had a stable of them, I'm reluctant to play them in this. I already find myself leading things more often than I'd like, and I don't want it more often because I'm the tanker.
  9. I did some of this last night. Grouped up with a 40s team to finish Anti-matter, then a few more quests in Tina's arc. It was very much follow the tank the entire thing at +1 or +2, which is very very slow for a Titan Bio Scrapper T3/T4. I stuck around a couple of missions because I only had 45 minutes and didn't care much. But it was a slow 45 minutes, and at least I knew what I was getting into.
  10. I've got both, a 50 Plant/Martial dom and a 50 Plant/Dark troller. Even though there's an overlapping set, they play so much differently at end game. The dom plays more like a scrapper with some control, but the troller feels more like a tank with controls, buffs, and debuffs. The troller is just far more survivable, and feels like it contributes more to the team. So don't rule it out man!
  11. Plant/Dark always is a solid choice, that's my main farmer honestly. Titan/Bio is a lot of fun, but honestly feels a bit OP too. Those two are both good with Waterspout from the Leviathan pool, with procs for -res and +recharge. There's a lot more good AOE out there, but those are my current two favorite characters if you have money to invest in a solid build. Water for any of the ranged sets is a nice choice if you want AOE. I've got it on a blaster, corr, and defender. I really need to get my Ice/Storm up some because I hear /Storm can generate some really good damage.
  12. If I joined a team and the tank is the leader, I might do that. I wouldn't stick around for long though. However if a tanker joined my team and did that, we'd be moving forward sans tanker. Ain't nobody got time for that, and this is not longer the "follow the tanker" game it used to be.
  13. I remember the Halloween event, it was one of the first such MMO events I'd ever done. And we had a blast and looked forward to it every time. I think DDO ended up having a lot of such events too that I really like. But I do love Halloween.
  14. Well, there's another forum name I haven't seen in years. Glad you are still alive and kicking man.
  15. Not sure how their searching works, but I would suggest searching and trying things such as -farm or NOT farm. Some search engines will handle it, others will not, and I seriously doubt the AE search function will but you never know.
  16. I farm just fine with a TW/Bio Scrapper. It isn't hard to get your smash/lethal near capped, and with a decent melee defense you can cap that as well with defensive sweep. Fighting +4/x8 on a s/l farm is pretty breezy as TW/Bio.
  17. Even then, I personally would not drop Parasitic Aura on my scrapper. I don't use it as an "oh crap" power, I use it when it's up and there's enough mob. It works well as a preventative, better to me than as a last resort.
  18. How about zoning? Load screens were what hit my friend hard too, but zoning was instacrash three times in a row.
  19. Well dang. It was such a miracle fix for said friend, I was really hopeful man.
  20. Love their products, but on some level Sony is the damned devil itself. Also Apple, and yes you can quote me.
  21. Right, and they are making bank and comics are getting the recognition I always thought they could. No beef with Marvel, been a fan for years, but Marvel post-2009 or so is a vastly different creature than it was 1990s to mid 2000s.
  22. I do too. People forget that Marvel was falling down hard, selling off IP right and left to attempt to avoid bankruptcy at the time. They'd have sued their collective mothers if they'd thought there was enough of a paycheck in it.
  23. I only tried it once, and kind of forgot about it. I think I'm going to have to give it another shot. Btw, dead on with classic games. I've been playing a lot of them for years through various emulators, and recently on the Switch with the SNES releases. I can't get enough of it, and don't expect that to ever change. Also Super Metroid and Breath of Fire are just as good as you remember, if you have a Switch.
  24. As they should be. Of course, it's hard to verify now if skindex was actually selling products or not, and how they went about it. But I'm under the assumption that if their IP case was successful, whereas CoH was not, there had to be something of merit to the claim.
  25. https://web.archive.org/web/20030620140457/http://www.skindex.net/marvel_letter.htm If anyone is interested in the C&D letter. This is about a year before they went after CoH btw, and I suspect the success of skindex might have had a little to do with it.
