  1. I am 100% confident that characters are properly slotted, because the game won't allow me to slot a Slow in Run or Exploit Weakness in Healing Aura. Other than that, all bets are off.

  3. Can probably resolve this by spreading your 50's/often-used-but-not-mains across all tabs with characters on them, that way when you are scrolling through to look for that Demon MM you only run on all MM teams, you're more likely to see characters with the warning, rather than just having the more oft used characters filling up the first couple of tab.
  4. Something else I find handy to keep track of badges more easily is to place a macro on my toolbar: /macroimage Badge_GotTip BgLst popmenu badgelist This will put a noticeable 'Tips' mission notebook icon on your toolbar that you can click on for the badges popmenu. I believe you'll also need the mod which can be found here:
  5. I've always been partial to playing Support/Crowd Control so when I play on the few melee'rs that I do have, it takes me a while to shift out of timid-mode when approaching mobs. Aslo, often is the time a team mate gets tunnel vision and rushes on to the next mob without even noticing the mob that was right around the corner that aggro'd at their passing. Sometimes it's a glorious mess that we manage to overcome, sometimes we're eating floor, fortunately, it's usually the former. :)
  6. ...oof. Here's a link: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Architect_Entertainment Long story short, it's a way to level up quickly by teaming up with others to run player-made missions that are designed to yield maximum XP. This also bypasses 95% of the game. Which many Legacy players have run countless times already, but for people that are new to the game, there is tons of content between the Tutorial and the iTrials. You will hear more than once that in CoH it's "about the journey, not the destination" and unlike many other MMO's the end-game "raids" are not the only thing people do in the game. Personally I never cared much about the incarnate-level trials, there are still contacts I haven't done even since legacy and have only done a handful of TFs/SFs since Homecoming launched even though I have several 50s's. Also for new players all the content and lore (if you care about that) makes for good training on how your character's powersets work. No use in flash-forwarding to if one doesn't know how to play their character. :)
  7. Praetorian hospital back entrance.
  8. He's gotta be bald though.
  9. I have redsiders, I have bluesiders, only a few don't switch sides, they run the gamut of freshly minted to 50+, I have goldsiders that... well, they stay goldside because there's nowhere else for them to go until they run out of content or manage to make it to Primal Earth, which not have yet done. I have one goldsider currently running the whole Resistance Betrayal shebang with 36 hours and 8 of the 12 arcs under her belt so far. What I don't spend a lot of time on are TF/SF and Trials. Endgame never interested me much.
  10. You mean it should be struck by a comet? I agree.
  11. Might be interesting to know that this was one of the questions asked of the Legacy Devs during a HeroCon and the answer was that of all the names released, the number of names that were claimed were in the single digit, something like 8%. I believe the second time it was run it was even less.
  12. Your in-game global (@name) will be the first character you created, if memory serves me, you can change your global once, but only once, so choose correctly. Deleting the character will have no effect, your global stays unchanged unless you change it yourself. You can use '/changehandle New Hero Name' to change it, but as I mentioned before you only get one change.
  13. That's almost as funny as the Legacy Devs making a slight edit to the base code and all of a sudden people were wondering why their defenses were shooting at everything that moved. :D
  14. Won't work, I believe you can have only 1 of the allowed special characters ( . ' - ? ) in your name.
  15. I don't recall a mission that has given me less than 3 mobs, helper or not.
  16. I included a couple myself on that thread. I would have pointed to the wiki, but it's just an alphabetical list with links to individual pages for each acronym. I think your list his much easier to digest. :)
  17. @GM Crumpet I would have to disagree slightly regarding white salvage/recipes. There are always people working on their Crafting Badges, so there are always people looking for these on the AH. Is it a huge return? Not really, but it also gains you progress towards AH badges, for those of us who care. Otherwise yeah, they are pretty much trash.
  18. It's those players that I will server friend them and keep track of the name so I can one day see 'Generic8675309' on my list and laugh to myself, then watch the forums for the rage-filled "Why did I get genericed?" post.
  19. You are correct, the data folder is where mods are placed. This is the strangest issue I've heard of and have no clue as to what may be causing it. :/
  20. Actually, most cops will definitely pull you over for not wearing a seatbelt at least in the U.S. Because of the licensing agreement announcement, there has been an influx of new/returning players, some might not be aware of the rule (because most don't read these things), I'm surer there are some that are actively ignoring them. If you chose to warn them, their responses can range from "Oh, I didn't know." to "Pancake off!" I would just report and move on, probably wouldn't go on a reporting spree though as the GM's do have better things to do and it could be today, could be tomorrow, or next week but eventually they will likely be gen'd.
  21. You haven't modified any sfx have you? Added the 'data/sounds/ogg' folder with silenced sfx for enemies?
  22. If you want to see the various discussions, I'd suggest searching "infringement". Regardless of players opinions on the subject of IP infringement, here's what Homecoming states: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/terms/ also here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/code-of-conduct/#copyright Relevant portion to your particular question: I'd rather this welcome to CoH thread didn't turn into another IP discussion. :) Many folks that are new to the game often base their first character on their favourite comic heroes/villains, branching out after that and creating your own is where the fun really is that and only limited by the imagination. Enjoy!
  23. Also @Techwright posted a pretty concise list of acronyms here: There is one on the wiki that hast nearly everything, but @Techwright points out the ones you will come across the most.
