  1. If I recall correctly (and I may not because 15 years or so have passed) but I believe the maps comprise of cubes of map pieces that are fitted together to make the completed map. During one of the last Meet'n'Greets I believe one of the Legacy Devs mention that they were trying to figure out how to make those pieces come together on generation to make for truly random maps (I think for AE anyway) but because of glowie/mob spawn locations it was proving to not be so simple. Resizing the maps may not be nearly so tall an order but spawn points and connections would likely still require manual adjustments for the Devs.
  2. That one cave map is my all-time favourite. One of the Legacy Devs admitted to me that they have worked on the caves of Morrowind after I mentioned how much I liked them, especially this one in particular. I played so much Morrowind that when I first started CoH, it took me months to get into my head that I didn't have to avoid puddles in the cave maps in fear of enemies hearing me.
  3. It's be nice if alternate animation for the Poison attacks offered the Envenom 'spit' or Neurotoxic Breath animations. Possibly even Poison Trap could be applied via spray and lay down and Oil Slick-like puddle that could activate when enemies reach the 'psuedo-entity' at the center.
  4. <clears throat> I give you Wholy
  5. Found a YouTube of 2009 HeroCon Keynotes (3 parter), boy that was a blast from the past.
  6. I missed their first HeroCon, because it took me a few weeks to make my way to the forums when I started playing the game but I attended all the HeroCons and Meet'n'Greets after that. Could have been the one in 2011.
  7. This was a question asked of the Legacy Devs during a HeroCon and if memory serves me correctly (not going to lay any odds on that <.< ), it was stated that there were in excess of 10,000 missions.
  8. Never played WoW either, have no intention of ever installing it. Played Champions and Marvel during beta, didn't spend much more time on them than that. I would love for CoH to get a graphic update but that would require a whole new engine. Expecting MMO players to read would be like expecting a dog to spot a rainbow.
  9. I find End management in CoH far less annoying than farming for gear that other MMO's require you to do. In CoH I can upgrade my "gear" with a click of a button if I'm still rockin' SOs. I also don't have to forego the armor drop I just got because it's fugly.
  10. Detroit: Become Human - Could even do multiple endings.
  11. Yeah, happened to me a couple of years ago. Sorry to hear that it has happened to you. 😞
  12. Yep, this is what I use too. Or OfficeLibre if you want a free option.
  13. Get a room. Regarding the movie, I actually liked the trailer. Granted, I don't recall the last movie I saw in a theatre but it was long before the pandemic sidelined most viewing.
  14. I have recently re-installed No Man's Sky and have to say that it's come a long way since it's bumpy release. Installed it about 2 weeks ago and have got about 60hrs in on it so far... <.< >.>
  15. Picked up Knockback for my SS/SD Brute.
  16. First of all, I'd like to welcome them to CoH! Second, I'd give them pointers on which Archetypes/powersets to play based on their desire. Third and probably the most important, warn them that creating their costumes could run well into taking hours and have them make their characters prior to getting together to play. That or convince them to all hit 'Random' and enter the game. Happy hunting!
  17. And if you want to give it a noticeable button you can use: /macro_image "DayJob_XPBoost" "XP Toggle" "option_toggle noxp"
  18. "You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss $3 goodbye."
  19. I do this quite often when I have characters with full-body auras, the higher intensity in the weapon and/or eye can be justified as power concentration since brighter usually means hotter. Also, for me personally, I tend to mute full-body auras as I find them distracting and sometimes headache-inducing depending on the colours in use.
  20. Occasionally, they can get stuck in walls/floors, or the marker can be incorrect, it can also be pointing to the spawn point of a patrol. Push come to shove you send in a gm request for help. They can pop enemies out of walls or complete missions, but if it's happening repeatedly, they you might want to also report it. If you've cleared all the floors, look at your map and there should be a red arrow(s) indicating the last mob. Out of curiosity, which mission/contact is this? Edit: Most warehouses are generally a single level, though some will have freight elevators to take you to another level, like the ones in Pocket D and there a few that open freight elevator doors with stacks of boxes that you climb to get to another level.
