  1. Cannot say that I've ever heard of anyone having an issue with .ogg files. If the folder hierarchy is set up correctly, there shouldn't be an issue. I have substitute sfx files on my Tequila install and now on the new launcher. Should look something like this: I found one sfx that the Dire wolf does every few minutes and with one of the buff it may be doing it more often, I'm still testing on Beta, Sound\OGG\POWERS\BM_DIREWOLF_WILDCHARGE_01 The other one as you've pointed out it: SOUND\OGG\DOG\DOG_TERRIFYINGROAR_01 Thank you so much for your informative and thoughtful comment, bless your little heart.
  2. The Protectorites I played with back on Legacy are split between Everlasting and Torch. I'm on Torch as I just could not get back into RP'ing. Welcome back!

Welcome to my world. :) When I have to test multiple sound that I am not sure are the ones I need to alter, I use a 'bloop' sounds, because when one or more are silenced than I'm never sure which one is correct. Once I've narrowed it down, then I use the 'silence' substitute. I had the intention of going onto Beta yesterday to check out Beast Mastery, but had to update to the new launcher, then got sidetracked... <.< I figured it had to be a combination of howls and barks from different folders. Perhaps the Devs can extend the 'phone ring' change to other too often repeated sfx as well. I've been running Goldside a lot lately and have a similar issue with ghouls. So many ghoul roars and growls in the sfx files. >.< I've decides to change them to the sounds of a porcupine eating.

  7. In the Resistance base in Underground Nova Praetoria, the area near the hospital pads (loc: [-4073.2 508.0 -199.9]) does not appear to trigger the Day Job. The Resistance bases in Underground Imperial and Underground Neutropolis do trigger the day job as expected when hear the pads.

  9. It'd be nice if there were a 'sleep' command where they'd lay down and be quiet, sadly there is not. As @Captain Fabulous said your only other option is to silence/alter the appropriate sfx files. Deleting them won't work as they are packaged into the game's .pigg files, you can redirect the game to look at alternate sfx files though, sfx files with the same name in the appropriate file hierarchy but that have different sounds or are even silenced.
  10. While I'd love to see the option to, if not modify sfx in the CC, to at least be able to silence some powers. Until that time arrives, there is at least the option to modify the game's sfx for yourself. This does not impact the game files in any way and done even back in Legacy without a side-eye from devs, since it's client-side only. Making changes to your own sfx does not impact anyone else, though it will effect how your hear everyone elses' gameplay. For instance, if you silenced Ninja Run, everyone using Ninja Run near you will also be silenced. You have the option of silencing sfx in the game or changing the sfx to something else, for example I changed MM Bots to squeak like rubber ducks when they walk around instead of "tromp, tromp, tromp" or glowies sound like a pack of hyenas laughing. Check my sig for how to accomplish this.

  12. Exactly, even without using the P2W ventor's XP bonus' you will still outlevel a zones' contacts, it's even worse if your are teaming on your way through.

  14. I wish the stances were available in the CC for idle, but since they aren't I have several bound depending on character. Aside from that I do not have many, every character gets: /macroimage Badge_GotTip BgLst popmenu badgelist While all of my Goldsiders get: /macro_image "DayJob_XPBoost" "XP Toggle" "option_toggle noxp"
  15. What I'd love to see is more of the textures being able to be applied to the Monstrous feet Bio-Organic, Biolumenscence, Organic Armor, etc. Same for the Zombie gloves, which have "clawed" fingers like Monstrous gloves but no skin option other than patterns.
  16. I couldn't figure this out either. I mean, unless you have multiple accounts players can only play one character at a time. They are actually spreading their rewards across multiple character rather than gathering them on just one or two.

  20. I think that when starting out and trying the game, one needs to have in mind what kind of character they want to play before jumping in. I do like stabbity-stabbity, Hulk-smash and the occasional sniper but for the most part I tend to play a lot of support which can be a slog when soloing. Do-able, but you have to take the slow, cautious approach, though when teamed even with a couple other players it can increase the enjoyment considerably. There are tons of guides for practically every flavour of character you could think of so, I'd suggest starting with what kind of character you'd like to play, tank, scrapper, blaster, blapper, etc. Want to pound on your enemies, blast them in the face, or send your minions after them? The folks here can offer up a multitude of ideas (and have) for a combo of powersets that may fill your needs.
