Market prices are set by purchasers, players with patience that are willing to wait hours or even days when bidding for an item can save hundreds, thousands or even millions on a purchase. Players without any patience pay a premium, call it a "convenience" fee.
As for winning costume contests, there's a thread that may be of some help...
So we should then slow down level progression then, based on your theory? Players can get to 50 in a matter of hours. I find that too easily obtained. They should slow down progression, it's a valid way to add longevity to the game.

I fail to see any focus in your original post.
Even if you had expanded on your OP with any sensible reasoning, the answer would still be no.
Why shouldn't someone be able to buy a purple from the AH? Believe it or not some of us don't consider grinding for drops to be fun.
You can load up a character on Beta and inst-level them to access all the powers to find out if they all have the same screech. I won't be able to do so today, possibly later tomorrow,
It's fortunate for me that most of the people I played with on Protector, I kept in touch with and even visited with IRL during the hiatus, and are back in the game.
Hi @StavinskyCoH everything listed was pulled from the Legacy CoH forums archives or from current Homecoming players. So that would make you the first regarding Psychic Blast. 🙂
Was there a specific power or powers you were looking for or everything in the set?
Besides, as was mentioned in an earlier post, the market is also an influence sink, with the 1m+ inf fees for posting 20m+ items.
The market also does not require special builds to use, literally any character can play.
Edit: I marketeer but I am by no means a Master Marketeer. But now I want to know how quickly a L1 character with nothing but the tutorial drops as starting collateral can make in say 1 week.
See, for me playing an insta-50 does not give me a "feel" for how a character plays. I have to level them up, even on Beta, though I can skip to 10's, 20's 30's.
You are likely right. It provides an outlet without toxifying a thread with a posted response.
It could be like confused which I believe is reputation neutral.
I'm thinking that he never got a combat version and the trainer is all there is, hence why he has no powers. Are there any other trainers that don't also show up in some sort of mission arc/TF/SF?
I did some diving and the info on the wiki is the same that appears in the game files, excluding the powersets, just the info card details.
This.
There are enough people on at peak hours to push Excelsior to 🔴 🔴 🔴.
Apparently some of the players have the lifespan of a fly, so a week to them is a lifetime.
