The movie was good and it showed exactly how a fight of Superman vs Batman should go, when they don't give into bad writing because...it's batman.

I can imagine that in the real world, people would call it The Blip, as something silly like The Blip would trend and in polls for what to call it, people would vote Blip out of it's stupidity.

As someone who watches Tremors often enough (the first 4 more than the rest...there is a slide in quality)...I would like to know if they're going to count the movies and previous series in this new series. If the idea is that the Graboids have returned, then it doesn't sound like it, as the Graboids had already returned with Blanco is in the town and keeps the town from being developed by rich people (sanctuary for an endangered species). Also agree, needs Michael Gross, but they did make it look like he died on the last one.

Here's hoping Felicia becomes the new and permanent love interest to Peter Parker in the MCU. 🙂

The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Not sure how FF will do either, but I didn't like the casting choices made from the beginning. Not sure I would've gone the multiverse 60's future tech route either. Hard to say, considering how the started the MCU with introducing the characters they now have the rights too. -

Goes back to streaming. People feel they can just wait now. No, not every movie was going to be a blockbuster, they never were. Some movies just weren't seen in theatres, but some of the movies that haven't made it that big would've done better before streaming, even if they weren't block busters. Covid, streaming, and yes, some of it with the direction some studios have wanted to go with their movies. Combination of factors, it's not just one thing. However, even movies that people say they want, are written good, are failing, and I'd say that means there's just a vocal minority sounding louder online than there really is. -

Disney was the only studio to have movies hit over a billion dollars last year, and they did it three times. -

Covid. Covid changed how people saw things, because Hollywood couldn't handle not making money while the rest of the world wasn't making money. Moved movies to streaming, now everyone knows "I can just wait for streaming" MCU is getting less popular because of the writing. They try to fight this by saying it's middle aged men, but those always seem to be their biggest audience. The Marvel's was mostly viewed by...MALES. 😮 As for changes between comics and movies, I think the issue is, we have the MCU and people want more faithful adaptions the first time around to these characters, which MCU hasn't been doing that well for a few of them. Honestly, not the biggest FF fan, so I'm going to see it, but I'm just going in with the idea of I still don't think this was a good casting for any of them 😛 Well, maybe Thing is alright. -

That's one of the biggest problems with Marvel and others doing established IPs. There's a bunch of characters they can use that check the boxes, that aren't what ifs (because with that idea, you may as well not make Spider-Man, Spider-Man for instance)...that people would love to see, but they continue to race and gender swap as if there aren't a long list of established characters that will check of that race or gender they want to use. They're just wanting to use certain names, is what it really comes down to. GotG should have proven you don't need famous names to make successful films. -
It did and it wasn't well received.

Avengers: Doomsday - Full Cast Announcement
BrandX replied to ZacKing's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
It's what I expect them to be. Extended Cameos. No different than Endgame when it came to so many of them. -
I think he worked up to pass peak human. The serum made him peak human. His constant working out, put him into low superhuman.

Avengers: Doomsday - Full Cast Announcement
BrandX replied to ZacKing's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I have no care to see the FOX X-Men, whether I liked them in the roles or not, whether I like them as an actor or not. That said, I believe some of those are going to be nothing more than cameos, but it's a way to get people talking and hyped up. As for Scarlett and Chris returning to the MCU, I would just like to see Captain America finishing his dance with Peggy but telling her he can't stay and he goes off to return the soul stone and ends up with a rescued Natasha (Hence the "I don't think I will") -
I think the difference will be in top tier melee sets when combined with Bio Armor. Don't let the hype fool you, Bio Armor on a Scrapper is not sturdy. Bio Armor is much more for the offense and it helps Scrappers shine even more, surviving even switching to defense mode, is not the big "OMG I can't die!" some think they'll get from Bio Armor. And if you're building for more offense, that means you're taking away from additional defense. Now put that combo on a Tanker. That -Resist Toggle and -Regen combined with a good primary...even if the Tanker is slower, you just had easier survival option and Bio help cover the Tanker's lower DPS

Snow White will surpass 400 million, so it will be beat by Snow White 😞

I'd say go... Beam Rifle or Dual Pistols From there I'd say go Energy Aura (Sentinel), Martial Arts (Blaster), Devices (Corruptor, Defender, Blaster) Teleport for travel power. Explained away as access to a shuttle craft perhaps? Maybe even a star ship? Trapped in the past? May want Medicine Pool for that tri-corder.

Then imagine her without makeup. I've not recognized people I'd seen with their hair up and in a hat all the time. -
I can understand that. Part of me really wishes they kept the FOX and SONY verses out of the MCU. I loved Spider-Man NWH, but I hate them mixing in the old movies from other studios into the narrative.

It sounds like the wife was doing just fine with him until she came down with a disease that if caught, is treatable. She was 65, not exactly an age anymore that people consider infirmed. That said, it's some terrible chain of events. My aunt's mom had a similar case of bad events that caused her mom to not be found for a week as the neighbor who would mutually check up on each other by opening their curtains in the morning became so sick, she was unable to check in on her. I was wondering if something like this happened myself. I imagined she died first and with GH at the age he was, likely unable to do much and reading he had his issues, he may not have even realized she died. 😞

Honestly, I thought they were trying to do something for countries that like to put a dance in everything.

The singing wasn't even that long of a scene.

I was saying recast from day one. From what I read, Chadwick said to recast too. But I remember LOTS AND LOTS of people saying how disrespectful it would be to recast a character. So much whining at the idea of recasting. Nevermind those same people didn't whine about other recasts. Including Ross.
-
I'd say the issue with Kang was the actor himself and for some reason instead of just recasting, they went total change of lanes. They also made plenty of mistakes yes. Multiverse Sage doesn't seem to be as planned out, and when they fail on a movie (and by fail, I mean it didn't do as well as they wanted) they seemed to do a new course correction. Of course, then they got FOX and that looked to force them into more changing course. Not to mention Chadwick dying. Bad choices, bad luck and bad timing. I didn't hate Quantumania like others did, but honestly, why would you stick with the same director from the first two, when (while I quite enjoy them) they didn't make big box offices? Eternals. Did no one read the script? Everyone of them treat Spite, a member of their group basically as old as the rest of them, as a child, simply due to her body. No wonder she had issues. Sure, humans seeing her it would make sense, but her own family? Ikarus got all the hate and none of it really seemed to be explained why? When people say this movie is woke, that is an easy thing to point to. The Marvels. Better than people give credit, but yes, Brie has lots of haters and Ms Marvel wasn't known to the masses. Wakanda Forever? Letitia wasn't a good lead. We only get 10 minutes of Black Panther and they really should've re-casted the role. I wonder what the movie would've been like if they had just re-casted.
