  1. Exactly. For the costume possibilities of "weird misshapen wax blobs on you", it's more a hindrance to a great costume than a help.
  2. Just as the label up above says, please provide a "minimal FX" option for Stone Mastery's Rock Armor. I took it on my controller and now she's running around looking like she's pretending to be a tank. Surely adding this to the customizing options this would be simple, yes?
  3. I'm curious as to how this went as well. I followed some of the same paths slotting up a Beasts/FF MM and had fun with it.
  4. I may be misremembering the math, but with that +2 Lockdown you have a chance of Holding a boss right out of the box. That's nothing to sneeze at.
  5. They've got a scrapperlock on my heart!
  6. Kind of wish you'd offered us a chance to rank our top three choices, ha ha. I'd love to see the AE builder, but until they can track down the bug that spawns all the dialogue when you first step onto the map, I just can't write for that nor upload my old mission files. I voted for the web-based build planner. I'm not even sure I'd use it that much (I'm such a n00b at builder-ing) but I know everyone else always asks for it.
  7. Finally got round to making my stalker: Staff/Ice Armor, uses that fish face and the usual "Creature from the Black Lagoon"-like costume pieces to become... Frozen Fish Stick.
  8. I started a thread about this recently, here's a link you can look over: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/11704-new-computer-recommendation/?tab=comments#comment-115080 I went with this one here, suggested in that thread, and have been pretty damn happy with it, the step up in quality was breath-taking, like amazingly so: https://www.amazon.com/SkyTech-Blaze-Gaming-Computer-Desktop/dp/B07RHBLV7F/ref=pd_sbs_147_1/144-8664744-6642208?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07RHBLV7F&pd_rd_r=da236151-fb8b-4809-862f-5810620915a2&pd_rd_w=Erf73&pd_rd_wg=dcaqL&pf_rd_p=bdd201df-734f-454e-883c-73b0d8ccd4c3&pf_rd_r=3PG7TS7E66703WVETNGB&psc=1&refRID=3PG7TS7E66703WVETNGB Good luck!
  9. I know I've seen this covered here before, but I can't find it: if I slot out a couple of powers with purples and then exemp down to say to run some weekly TF, what happens? I believe I still get the set bonuses, but any of the enhancement values is otherwise lost below 47th level, right? Anything else I need to know about the topic? Thanks!
  10. The "secret persecution" fallacy is a weird attribute of the age.
  11. Two more questions, if I may. First, what would you suggest if not Stone? I can't recall now, but, again, I read on the forums that it's a good all round set for Trollers generally and looking over the other options, nothing super leapt out at me as "now I can also get some real attacks!" like Stone did. Secondly, doesn't the Pines thingy warn you when you violate the various rules, or is it really not that trustworthy?
  12. Neat! I just sent one of those early that morning for that exact reason, glad to know they really do help.
  13. Thanks for responding! I learned a lot and have been given some solid suggestions. To address a few points, when I was starting this build, I had a few a design guidelines that I should have mentioned in the OP. First, what with Venomous Gas, Poison Trap and Seismic Smash, I expect this toon to live in melee a fair amount of the time, so I was trying (not terribly wel) to focus more on any +Def or +Resists I could get rather than the usual Troller focus on Recharge. That's why I didn't have Earth's Embrace or Hasten in here, although I did find that hard to drop, yeah. But obviously, both can be had; I really still have a lot to learn about building. 🙂 Secondly, by design I was trying to avoid going ATO and purple crazy (to be fair, this build didn't go nuts either), as I exemp a fair amount and my style of Inf earning tends to be slowish and I get distracted by the new shiny toon sooner than I should; I often just never get around to finishing builds that are that expensive. Still of course, that build Tex posted looks very solid and gives me food for thought, so maybe I'll try and stick with it anyway. (Looking at it again, I'm liking it more, so I may, yeah) Coyote is 100% right about that recharge affecting proc activation, I had forgotten that. Even at low levels this toon is End-hungry so putting Kismet in Maneuvers would sort of make that worse.... but that's a solid suggestion. All of the proc suggestions have been taken from threads on this board discussing the proc-monstering of these sets and I assume would be based on experience, although I do know no one's perfect of course. I really haven't spent enough time with the power to see if the procs are firing a lot or not yet.
  14. I've been trying to think of a decent Mind/Poison build that makes use of the Proc Research that's been posted here, and so far here's what I got. I have a feeling there may not an ideal build for this, but this seems to work. The toon is currently at 40 I think but I haven't put this build in yet. On the other hand, she seems to play well enough, although maybe not the uber monster one might want. Grade my work! 15. They also engage in a lot of hyperbole while doing so. :)
  16. Mercs was always viable. Now they're just moreso.
  17. Never have I ever gotten a tank or brute past 35 (I think). Something about the button mashing of a straight in-your-face fighter gets boring to me, so I normally stick to support toons. I did have a stalker and as scrapper at 50 during first run however, but that was after awhile too, not a dedicated effort. Only far as I can recall have I had more than maybe three tanks and brutes even.
  18. I've used that one male smiling face a few times. Know why? It's the only male face with a smile. That annoys me. The rest of the "normal" or human faces are either grim'n'gritty "grawr me tough!" or just sort of blank-eyed fashion model looking.
  19. It's probably been mentioned, but the Mercy Island Snakes would make for a cool set. And when are we going to get to be a snake too, with an option in the costume editor for "no legs, snake"? Only half-kidding here, think how cool "City Of Snakes" could be!
  20. I too could use some bad influence in my life, as I have 50 Merc/Nature but I'm unhappy with the build and could use some pointers about what directions to take him in. Where might I find this corrupting build?
  21. So far the toon's been having End issues (as noted), so Cardiac is sounding good.
  22. I don't think it even takes "the usual OPAF" team to do that though.
