  1. My Oranbegans are all over on Ev... "Yes," they say, "Come and join us, fellow Magic folk. We promise not to make off with your bodies or sacrifice you to any demons. We have plenty of Arachnos Mu for that." 😎
  2. VMaps is sort of an overlay type of add-on that puts useful icons on your mini-map, like the locations of badges (Even if you're not a badge-collector, you can use badge names as character titles, which is fun. My white-winged tank is wearing "Guardian Angel", for instance-) and what goons of what level spawn in particular neighborhoods. It's a useful mod to install.
  3. The co-op thing is the concern... Shifty red-siders can't all get to PI. How about moving them to Kallisti?
  4. We've all been there with something... Just like we've all gotten caught on a bus stop while super-speeding across Steel Canyon. 😝
  5. In celebration of our getting a lot of new folks in-game, I did a clean-up of unused character ideas and freed up a few fun ones... Winging It BR0bot Lady Autumn Never Mind ... are all up for grabs. Somebody go do something fun with them! 😎
  6. We have a moose! That makes me grin. ^_^
  7. Welcome to the City, Sume. 😎 Tanks are Love. Smashy, tough love which ought to be able to handle Praetoria pretty well, even if you find yourself having to solo sometimes. (Which you may, since fewer people start and play through the Going Rogue starting areas, even on Excelsior.) The hero starting areas that you'll see most of us calling "Blue Side" are the most popular. The "Red SIde" is the villain half of the game, and is somewhat less popular, but still has enough people to usually find a team. The Going Rogue starting zones, "Gold Side", were added to the game later in its commercial period and are the least populated starting area. It can be a little tough for teaming, especially if you aren't playing during peak hours. Praetoria can absolutely be soloed, though, and doing the arcs on your own gives you the chance to read all of the mission text and really get a feel for the place, which is an advantage. Teams can make doing that difficult.
  8. <_< >_> BOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGEEEER! (I just really, really made myself look old with that reference, didn't I?)
  9. I'm all about the spikey Oranbegan bits, for... probably obvious reasons. I'm also fond of all of the various bits that go into my Nova Primeva characters' "Temple Guard" uniforms...
  10. As if our lives aren't already filled with enough adverts to choke a proverbial brontosaurus...
  11. If I get something into the mid- or late-30's and just don't find it fun to play, the odds are good that I'll strip out all of the toys I gave the character and then delete it. And then reuse the costume and general character idea with different power sets. I've gotten to be pretty ruthless about that over the years. I'm not keeping a character that isn't fun for me to play.
  12. Don't forget the "Eggfinder" lounge in Faultlike.
  13. How to tell everyone "I've never spent six months of my life building an elaborate base" WITHOUT just coming out and saying so.... 😄 While it's absolutely technically true that even the most complex base COULD be rebuilt, it's not exactly a small undertaking and definitely not something to just casually toss out there like it would be some easy weekend project. Replicating some of the things people have built would be more like reconstructing Notre-Dame than knocking out a backyard shed. That alone would make mergers a NO WAY vote for me.
  14. Blue Steel is secretly Godzilla? Well, every comic book type is allowed to have an improbable secret identity, I guess. But that one seems a little sketchier than usual. I mean, you're just not gonna be able to hide that with a pair of glasses.
  15. That mechanic exists to be annoying. Especially given that the goons all get to jet off at top speed to the far side of nowhere while... players.... are... stuck... moving.... like.... snails... trapped... in... glue... traps... for... about... a... dog's.... age... unable to chase them down effectively. (No. Not all of us have ranged attacks, buster.) I say tone down the "Run Away! Run Away!" Or either ditch the speed suppression on players, or make the goon's subject to it just like we are. I'm tired of being in Sloth-mode while watching wolves and wing raiders and drones and Longbow Eagles and every second random Freak taking off like proverbial bats out of the Bad Place. And don't tell me that it adds "challenge". Extra annoyance isn't challenge. It's just annoyance. <_<
  16. I can only speak for myself, but I've barely had ten spare minutes in a row together since early in October.... The period between Halloween and New Years is CrazyBusyLikeWhoa time in the food bank world. (Seriously. We get between half and two-thirds of our TOTAL annual material donations from food drives that happen around the holidays. That puts sorting crews like mine into serious over-time mode just to keep up and distribute everything-) Put the usual holiday social obligations, gift searching and all that into the mix, too, and there's just not a lot left for gaming. Or much of anything else. With luck, things will slow down some in January and we... the busy, the time-constrained, the absent due to Real Life... will have time to wander back into the City again.
  17. I use a combination of keyboard and mouse to play, so I have to have both hands free. That usually means no snacking while I'm playing... I almost always have my favorite Aoi vanilla matcha tea or some kind of coffee around, though.
  18. Aion was always my "other MMO", so I played around with that, then spent some time with Secret World. I also tried out Champions, but wasn't a fan.
  19. Sorry it took me so long to get back to this... I haven't been in-game in a couple of months. I'll PM them to you. And no. These are all mage costume parts rather than minion bits, so none of the female Circle NPCs have them.
  20. Luna was good people... So was Todo. It makes me grin to see their avatars still in-game.
  21. I wish. Gods how I wish. My lady magi are *still* waiting, literal years after the pieces were added for the male model, to get the rest of the Oranbegan bits ported over to the female side of the CC... The horned gloves, the Death Mage back spikes and more elaborate kilt, the shoulder piece with the little capelet... I've long since lost any real hope of getting them, but I still bring it up about once a year. I figure a reminder that at least one person still wants them can't hurt.
  22. I think it would be fun to have even if it worked like the rocketboard and ground-based animal transformations. Would *everyone* use it? No. Of course not. But things don't have to be universal to be fun, viable ideas.
