Keep in mind every costume piece that would need to be reviewed for clipping with any changes to the character model. Not everything has some nefarious intent behind it.

@tidge you are the only person I have come across that uses the Presence pool. I have yet to team with anyone who has it in game, including the years I spent on live.

That does not always work. If the entrance portal is clipping another object, you will still be stuck.

Why not look at making other pool sets that are hardly used to make them more desirable?

Same as the OP, you are essentially doing the same by dismissing opinions that differ from yours. Being unhappy swings both ways. The opinions of those who feel that the game is fine as is or there are other priorities are just as valid.

Thanks but I was not looking to make a version of Captain Britain or Union Jack - more of how to incorporate the Union Jack into an updated look for Hero One. His costume - other than the cape (which I wish we could have) - is a bit bland to me.

Are you suggesting that people who do not have Hasten in their builds at all are somehow incapable of handling more challenging content? If that is your assertion, I can quite comfortably say you are dead wrong.

Thing is, the OP is proceeding from a false premise in that purple sets are the end all be all must haves for every build. To be quite honest, there are other IO sets which have far more utility and desirable stats than any purple set. I am always selling purple sets on the AH even if my character could use them. I have over 20 level 50s now and not one of them has a purple set slotted. They just are not needed. I personally would not even categorize them as nice to haves.

I have mentioned this before - STO has a "Frequently Created Threads" post for this exact purpose. It works well over there however I am not sure leaving it up to the community here is a good idea. Opinions can vary greatly on what should or should not be on it.

Yes, and other games also have auction houses to sell stuff. It is how the in-game economies work. You are neglecting that some incarnate components are account bound here too.

This is true for just about every MMO out on the market today.

The system already exists - it is called the Auction House. Sell price is determined by the market. If you are trying to sell something for a "stupid price", then no one will buy it and you will need to adjust your price accordingly to make a sale. This game is already 16 years old and there are still people playing it. I think this tosses your entire idea out the window.

Purples in the AH are from drops. I know this because I put several of them up for sale. What do you suggest people do with purple drops they get that they cannot use? Delete them?

Anyone ever take a stab at making an updated version of Hero One's costume? I am trying to incorporate the Union Jack (which I really wish we had in game!) into the chest piece somehow but cannot seem to get it right. I think I can manage something like this with the pattern and chest pieces, but wanted to keep the cape and helmet. Any suggestions?

The idea of what is or is not an "improvement" is going to vary greatly among the players. Personally, I have not built any of my Dominators to be Permadoms and quite frankly I think they perform just fine as is.
