  1. I understand perfectly what Hasten does. Does reducing the effectiveness of or removing it from the game make the game fundamentally more challenging or difficult?
  2. Is the game fundamentally more difficult or challenging without it? Or are players going to continue to steamroll content if it were changed or even removed?
  3. It makes certain long recharging power picks palatable and I am sure players in the PvP community like having powers up as often as possible. Hasten is taken heavily because most all other pool choices stink. Even removing it completely does not make the game any better. People are going to steamroll content without it.
  4. Alternatively, why not create new content that is specifically for incarnates?
  5. I was not the one who brought it up. Some are using the argument that "a lot of people take it" therefore it must be imbalanced. A lot of people do a lot of things. That does not mean every popular choices needs changing.
  6. I think rather than changing the triangles, a better solution is a means to tone down or turn off all the VFX spam as a player option. Those who like it can keep it and those who do not can turn them off.
  7. This is a problem with a great many powersets in my opinion, including Earth Control. I would absolutely love an option that allows us to tone down/scale down or turn off the myriad of VFX spam.
  8. I did not ignore that at all. I simply stated not everyone takes it, which is true.
  9. There is nothing to argue. Not everyone takes hasten is true.
  10. I read this hearing Sir Patrick Stewart's voice. Reminded me of this -
  11. "Very very few skip it" confirms not everyone takes it.
  12. It also costs a power pick and sloting that can be used for something else. Not everyone uses Hasten. I think out of my 20 or so level 50s maybe 1 has it.
  13. Yes that is called using strategy. Players are doing this in all kinds of content throughout the entire game.
  14. Could not agree more at this point. Hopefully a mod will lock it.
  15. It does not matter. These were his express wishes for the company he founded. That still holds some weight.
  16. And that is perfectly fine.
  17. Semantics are not making your argument any stronger.
  18. So you cannot post all the cases you claimed you could. Got it. Well then it is abundantly clear you are just out to hate on any Disney for any reason. Facts are Disney did not want to say no to the request, but they have to abide by the wishes of Walt Disney himself and not use Disney characters for these purposes. His request is personally reasonable. They did offer a one of a kind very special item to memorialize their son, which is a far cry from being "mean" and "cruel".
  19. Well no, people were not getting renamed because of it before the rule was put in place. Several copycats/homages are pictured in older Homecoming sponsored costume contests. Posts were made by a few people who thought it "tacky" and "not creative" and were questioning whether copycats were ok or not. I am sure if you do some forum searching you will find the posts Homecoming made regarding copies not being an issue at the time. Of course we all know this did change.
  20. No, it definitely is not backwards. The current rule in the CoC was not always there. There were several posts back in the day from people questioning or complaining about copycats and the rule got added after those.
  21. Please do and please be sure to include all the facts. Terms like "inhumane" and "hypocritical" are purely subjective. I am sure one of the issues you will be posting is articles about Disney declining grieving parents permission to use their property on their child's headstone. At first glance, yes this seems cruel. Researching all of the facts changes that perspective entirely.
  22. Of course it is the same. There were a couple of times customers walked into a restaurant he had done some work for and saw his name under the photos he had taken. They contacted him and it led to paying work.
  23. I was not even talking about the game. Might want to read my post again. Context is important.
  24. Disney sues when others are trying to profit off of their property without permission and rightfully so. If you have an actual case where Disney sued just to be mean and cruel to someone because they can or brought a case out of boredom for kicks, by all means share it. Disney is a company extremely dedicated to their public image and brand. and I have no objection to them protecting their property. People who keep bringing up the prior lawsuit also keep neglecting to mention that it was settled out of court and by all reports, Marvel really did not have much of a case. The whole issue of whether having close approximations of characters in a videogame like CoH was never tested in the courts back them. The legal analysts who brought up the "crayon" argument I believe had a very compelling argument that still holds true today. This is just my opinion here, perhaps this whole issue of copyright being decided in the courts is something that does need to happen. Not here on Homecoming specifically, but somewhere. Companies like Disney, Marvel, WB, CBS and other copyright holders who throw so much money at lobbyists to get copyrights extended into perpetuity are doing far more damage than good in my opinion. This is stifling creativity and imagination, and that is not a good thing.
  25. So trying to compare a bankrupt company suing out of desperation for cash is not the same thing.
