  1. STO has something like this called the "Arena of Sompek". It is really a lot of fun! When it is running, they have scaling rewards for it.
  2. I think the game is fine as is in terms of difficulty. With that said, I would be all for content specifically designed for and balanced around fully kitted Incarnates.
  3. There would need to be changes to the aggro cap in order to accomplish this. Adding in +6 or higher does not solve the problem. The way the game works, anything above +5 and you will have difficulty hitting it if it all. The answer is not adding higher difficulty settings. The solution is creating content that is specifically designed for and balanced around Incarnates and IOs at endgame level.
  4. Pay particular note to the "players created" wording. That means players created 1,207,409 characters. That does not mean there are that many still around that have not since been deleted and/or people are still actively playing them. How many of them are alts where people wanted to try out a combo and abandoned it? STO does this with stats all the time. It inflates the numbers to make the game population appear larger than it really is.
  5. Agreed. We do not need to think it is not true, we know it is not based on data the Homecoming staff have provided.
  6. I said nothing of the sort, nor did I ever suggest new content would be cranked out quickly. I have no idea what the future will bring. With that said, given what I have seen from the forums here, there is no shortage of people from across many disciplines willing to volunteer their time to help and see the game grow and prosper. I would rather see this than let the game stagnate and wither away with nothing new ever added.
  7. Don't forget the fishing NPCs! 😁
  8. I keep seeing this repeated and quite frankly, I think it shows a lack of imagination. Homecoming is a small volunteer staff at this point in time. That may not always be true.
  9. You mean other than they are meant to be post 50 content? If there is content designed with them in mind, there is no need to nerf anything.
  10. Finished the first season of Picard and I can comfortably say I am out. Will not be following the series any longer.
  11. It very well could be. Then again, it may not. I only speak for myself, but we tend to see a lot of people unfamiliar with programming and working with complex legacy code guessing at what is or is not feasible or easy to do. We just do not know and I personally would rather hear from someone who knows what they are doing. At least to me, if the game is to survive and prosper going forward, new content will be needed to keep people interested and playing. There is a substantial amount of pre-50, pre-incarnate level content in the game. Post 50 incarnate level is where content is lacking.
  12. You do not really know whether it is easier to start over or just change a few variables here and there. Given what we know with regard to how spaghettified the code is, I would not even begin to want to guess what is easier to do.
  13. I get what you are saying however your suggestion seems to ignore there would still be the problem of limited incarnate content. There is little to no point in getting incarnate abilities if there is nearly no content to make full use of it.
  14. To be fair, if you have no familiarity with a given code base, assuming something is easy tends to come back and bite you. I cannot tell you how many times I have come across something that looks like a simple fix only to find later it is a massive amount of work. Best not to assume either way.
  15. As has been suggested already, you can easily solve the "problem" by setting up teams and specify no incarnate abilities are to be used. Zero programming effort required.
  16. Sorry, no. It is not true. If that is your experience - which I very, very highly doubt - then find different team mates.
  17. So? Again, enormous assumption being made that spamming judgement is all teams are doing and not using any other abilities in between. It simply is not true.
  18. Teams will rotate nukes and other AoEs as well. Absolutely no difference between those and using Judgement.
  19. I am not sure I understand what you mean here? Are you only seeing people use Judgement and nothing else? People are using the ability when it is available same as any other power.
  20. Some live in Khalisti Wharf, some in the mountains, some on an alien world deep in space, others in a hellish place where few dare to go.
  21. Perhaps these forums could use something along the lines of a "Frequently Created Threads" (F.C.T.) list of topics that will get closed due to the solution being stated many times. The STO forums have this and it has worked rather well.
  22. I think what sky to use depends on what look you are going after. Atlas Park or Praetoria sky would work well I think, just keep in mind that there is a night/day cycle with open skies. As to make the plot bigger, when you are in your entrance room, click the "Upgrade Plot Size" button. You can select a larger plot there.
  23. There is nothing wrong with incarnates being powerful. The problem is there is little to no content specifically designed for incarnates. To me, the answer is the game needs much, much more difficult content designed expressly for incarnate teams, not nerfing them into uselessness.
  24. I think you will have to press F3 in the editor to enable room clipping, yes. Set your ceiling style to "Open Sky" and raise the water vertically until it is at/above your ceiling, then do the same with the glass. You will need to flip the glass over 180 degrees first as there is on texture on the bottom of it.
