  1. This is an important thing to remember, in addition to here in the USA where copyright is not necessarily intended to be held in perpetuity.
  2. Too vague an example I believe, but I get the gist of what you are after. 😉
  3. Project Insight - Henry Jackman Love this one! I want to convert it to an .ogg to use as my base music 😁
  4. The Forge/Thor's Arrival - Alan Silvestri
  5. The Planet Krypton - John Williams
  6. Descent into Mystery - Danny Elfman
  7. Well no, it just means they met their donation goal. I would be far, far more concerned about profit issues from the legal owner of the IP than I would from Disney.
  8. Ok however if clearly defined rules specify that, then what is the problem?
  9. They met their donation goal.
  10. Would that not be how clear cut rules would work?
  11. 99% is not a 1:1 match, is it? 😉
  12. Yes, they are as they should be in protecting their property. However, it is important to understand Disney does not go after everyone. They target those who are trying to make a profit without a license/permission or are using their property in a way that went against Walt Disney's express wishes. Trust me, I understand it is a risk that Disney might issue a C&D. However, I think the likelihood of this happening are not even slim to none and chances are greater the C&D will come from NCSoft before anyone like Disney. Trying to infer that a Disney suit is somehow imminent because someone made a Hulk character is fear mongering. Again, I have no issue with the rules that Homecoming has set forth. I will be even more clear that if someone is naming their character Superman or Batman or Captain America, then yes they should get it changed.
  13. The lawsuit keeps getting brought up in threads like this and it is important to remember the context of the situation. Marvel was in far, far, far worse financial shape back then and were looking at squeezing money from anyone they could. The game was also for-profit back then. That is not the case now.
  14. Creativity is subjective to the person. More often than not, you cannot create a 1:1 replica as most have unique costume pieces or logos that do not exist in the game. You can create somewhat similar, not a 100% match.
  15. To my knowledge, Homecoming is not paying for any licensing. To suggest others do this is silly.
  16. Folks, like it or not this is a decision that rests solely on the shoulders of the Homecoming team. They set the rules - regardless of whether we agree or disagree with them - and we have to abide by them. With that said, people really need to stop trying to tell others what is or is not "creative" enough.
  17. Then use the tools readily available to you to form your own group, advertise for like-minded players and then run all the content you like without incarnate abilities. Your problem is solved with zero development time. You are doing the same thing. Your argument is that incarnate abilities are not "fun" being used on non-incarnate content. Are you not using the same argument? No, all it would solve is to make incarnates available for those who can afford more playtime to farm for them.
  18. Triple Kronos Titan spawn!
  19. I never suggested otherwise. I think you have missed the point.
  20. I would agree this is a major effort based on what Jimmy has said about unlocking various NPC costume pieces for players to use in the editor.
  21. No doubt - if you play at the pace you do. I do the same. Not everyone does though. 😉
  22. Yes I know that. Just seems to me that most people seem to forget there are 50 levels to go through before Incarnates.
  23. Ok so? There is no reason whatsoever to assume this was never done for female models because of some nefarious reason.
