  1. Main reason right now is the fear from burn on brutes. its so lame.
  2. hasten is t1 now, you don't need anything else out of speed to get it.
  3. Load up my fire farmer and go from 1 to 25/30 in a few minutes. Cause I'm bored of low level, no power, end issue side of the game. Done it too many times. So straight to mid 20s or 30s for me.
  4. Claws is the answer to this thread. Full st and full aoe chain. Pick a secondary at random, doesnt matter, claws will carry it to glorious conquest.
  5. I'll try that, thanks. Tried that, still freezing anytime i try and open options. Also the whole game freezes and I don't get a new crash handler like was mentioned in the patch. W10 just shuts it down.
  6. Since 2 patches ago anytime I try and open options in game my game freezes and crashes. Happens in both 32bit and 64bit, haven't tried in safemode since there's the thing saying its going to be discontinues.

    Fire/?

Fire melee / shield is very powerful.
  8. WoWs mythic+ system deals with this same problem. You do a chain of dungeons each one getting harder. The enemies gain hp and defense, as well as random buffs. A way that could be implemented into coh I think would have hardcore missions that scale harder. Give minions boss lvl ha and defense, give everything in the mission random buffs like forcefiels bubbles or regen etc. And make it so theres no cap, players can keep going harder until they cant win.

    ??? /claws

willpower has no exact synergy with claws, but that's because it basically performs the same with every secondary. its a turn your toggles on and forget set. So it works. It's strong and and will work well with claws. fire is fine with claws, but its a pretty clicky set and claws has a very fast rotation so you may find that you're clicking too much with that combo. I feel like ice will have this same "problem" paired with claws. Lots of actions to take in the armor set. invuln will be good too, but i would personally go willpower just cause i like it more. my experience with SR was way too long ago on live, so wont comment.
  10. Willpower will be best starter set to get you deep into the game. And it goes well with every scrapper or brute primary.
  11. I think what you do is change up Corrupter ATO's. Compared to the melee ATO's ranged ATo's are garbage anyway. Stalker ATo's change the way the AT is played, scrapper / brute significant buff.. cor/blaster .. chance for lame dmg. A scourge strike bonus the way scrapper crit works from ATO would help I think as a starter.
  12. Claws is my favorite primary by far. Right now though I'm liking claws electric. I enjoyed leveling up Claws/Energy Aura, but at 50 it feels.. boring, kine of like Claws/Willpower. I haven't done anything with claws/dark yet, but back on live I had a claws / dark so I'll probably reroll that at some point. I also want to try claws / fire, and claws / bio at some point. Edit: So currently claws/electric is destroying all my other claws combos in the fun zone. Claws /energy, dark armor, invuln, fire, ninjitsu, willpower. Are all great in their own way bit man claws / electric is just speshul. I will for sure be stripping the 500mil or so in IOS I have on my main scrapper and giving them to this guy at 50. And I actually rerolled my claws /da to a da/claws tanker cause it just seems to fit better for a tanker IMO. Srsly, try a claws electric scrapper.
  13. Claws was my favorite set on live and I ran claws willpower, claws dark armor, claws regen, and claws martial arts. Currently on excelsior I have a 50 claws energy aura. Hes pretty beast, I have decent io sets but I'm not incarnated out I just have lvl 1 in agility so far. And even with that I can easily run comic con fore farm solo. Next up for me is claws electric armor. I hear its beastmode on brutes, but I prefer scrappers so that's what om going to try. I've also got a claws fire armor, but its stalled out, since I found out my energy aura scrapper can solo fire farm just fine. Claws is great though, pick one and enjoy.
  14. Lol people in this thread clearly think stalkers as they were in the early stages of cov. They are objectively better than, or equal to scrappers in every way except aoe damage at this point. They have the same hp defense and resistance caps as scrappers. They have instant crits from hide, and an ato that procs them into hide from your regular combat chain, their crit chance scales up in groups to be higher than scrappers even with the scrapper atos. And most importantly, they make broadsword good. Stalkers received huge buffs in later issues, and i25 proliferation gave them some absurd power combos. For example elec shield has 2 teleport aoe nukes that dont break hide because of that weird pet mechanic. So you ultra nuke all the mobs twice then instant crit the remaining boss. Basically if you're using assassins strike from hide at this point you are doing it wrong. Use your big dmg regular attacks from hide, get a crit. 2 small attacks, now assassins strike is instant cast and crits with 3 stacks, have ato in it, proc hide, big crit, 2 small, big crit etc. That said I still roll scrappers because every single stalker should be following the same basic rostation at this point with the exception of adding teleport nukes if you have them. And scrappers still have some flavor to their attack chains depending power choices.
  15. And that's the point I'm trying to make. Some of these t9s in the world of IO sets only offer the crash because you're probably already capped to what they are offering. Or so close it's never worth it to take the crash for the teeny tiny boost. Coupled with the newer sets having real uses and no crash, just seems lame for some of the classic sets.
  16. Some have huge crashes, some have mild crashes, and some have no crashes. BIO: Survivability / endurance buff - no crash DA: self rez Elec: Survivability / endurance buff - health/end crash Energy: Survivability / aborb buff - endurance crash Fire: Self Rez Ice: Survivability / rege/endurance buff - No crash Invul: Survivability / endurance buff - End/Health crash Ninj: Survivability buff - Endurance crash Rad: Survivability / endurance / damage buff - small endurance crash Regen: Survivability / endurance buff - No crash Shield: Survivability / endurance/health buff - Endurance crash Super Reflex: Survivability / endurance buff - Endurance crash Willpower: Survivability buff - Endurance crash The newer sets, and reworked sets seem to have the crashes removed, or made less severe. At the very least I'd like to see the ones that still have a total crash of health/endurance have the health component dropped. It seems too common to skip scrapper t9's because of the crash, and as far as I'm aware some other severe crashes (notably blaster t9s) have been removed as well.
  17. What do longbow have that helps specifically with AVs? And is it right or left path?

    Tech shield

Tech shield has 2 options the cool one everyone used was option 2. Unless you're talking about the round one that kind of opens up when you activate shield powers. I think that one is called freedom phalanx.
  19. Claws wants to keep follow up stacks rolling, katana/broadsword wants to keep def buff rolling, staff, street justice, dual blades, and savage all have combo mechanics. TW has momentum, Psy his proc watching. Rad has contamination to watch. Spines, Elec, Fire, Mace, Axe are the most straightforward I would say. But every set has an optimal rotation for max ST or AoE dmg, if you just want to faceroll and hit what ever when ever, then just pick one and go with it.
  20. Dark Regen takes a lot of endurance. So slot it with the accurate heal + endurance and some stuff that drops endurance cost / recharge.
  21. Ice is by far my favorite tanker primary. It's all around solid. Self heal, soft control, def and resists, sta boost, and dmg aura. And with the minimal efx not bad looking at all.
  22. Theres also a 5k jetpack that is the same speed as the 50k. And 3 of my characters run the 1mil influence fly powers, and I swear they get faster as you level up.
  23. Fire bio will probabaly be pretty fun. And quite potent. Fires biggest drawback is it has no utility, it's all damage. Bio is a unique set in that it let's you choose of you need more endurance, more defense, or moar dps, so it's kinda got all the utility needs covered, plus it's got a heal. I have a fire shield scrapper who's been shelved around 35. I really enjoy the fire part, but shield is just meh to me. I understand its strong, but it's also boring. I've never considered fire bio, but now I am. I think it will be pretty good and darn fun. You should for sure try it out if that's what you're interested in.
  24. I just like it so I can skip travel powers on ability hungry builds.
  25. I have an iPhone, but not a Mac, and I've started doing that too the last year. Samsung just starts auto downloading and installing updates now. Its really annoying.
