I understand what you’re saying. I just don’t agree with a “do no harm/make everyone happy” mentality. IMO it’s impossible. Release the names - people who haven’t played are not happy. Lock the names - people who are playing/want to play are not happy. How does a person decide whose happiness is more important to the greater good of the community?

In some states, a vehicle can be legally declared abandoned after 5 days. A spouse can be legally declared dead after 7 years. if we use those two numbers as the threshold for this argument, I once again ask you for your opinion? What time period? please take into account that physical personal property is not being claimed - unlike the two laws I mentioned.

Demanding proof in an argument based on opinion is kinda stupid, don’t you think? there are no facts to support either argument. In your opinion, what time period (we use time because it would be silly to think people would step up and say “I’m outta here”). What time period do you believe is acceptable to wait before declaring someone officially gone?

Holding onto something to purposely keep from others, with no intention of utilizing, is also considered selfish. so which form of selfishness wins?

Why buy a travel power when you can just pick it? In all seriousness, I struggle to find a power I want/will use by the end anyways. So using a slot or two on travel is fine by me.

There are places on the internet, where you can see naked women. No real need to add them to a game open to children. plus, the last thing I want to be involved with is anything where a naked preteen or child could be running around.

No offense, but I don’t think “sitting” in AE is playing the game. Maybe that’s just me. Not complaining about it. People can do what they do. I was simply offering another suggestion on how to get influence.

Or actually play the game. Amazingly you can earn enough inf/merits from running missions/TFs to kit out a 50 I’ve done it with every one of my alts.

Correct, they wouldn’t look for a farm to level. They would however be looking for a farm to get the quick influence, to buy the token. In other words, you have to completely take “LF Farm” broadcast out of this argument- unless you make the lvl50 token free

For me the line is clear. if I receive a tell, or even a comment in RL, and I ask the person to stop - that’s the line. Its not about what you deem appropriate. It’s what the person receiving is comfortable with. This doesn’t mean every instance of crossing the line is dealt with the same way. Some are innocent, and some are not.

Which server to you play on? I'm positive there are plenty of other players out there who feel the same way about your first topic. Its just a mater of hooking up with them. Either through here, or a SG that you could start - or even in the LFG chat. Your teams don't necessarily have to be 8 players to be enjoyable. If I have an alt on the same sever as you, I'd happy join you. Hit me up. Topic 2 extends to archetype also. It does get tiring hearing players spout out how bad they feel a sentinel/defender/brute/tank/corrupter/blaster/mm sucks, and how the game would be better off without them. These types of people either don't want to see new players join up and enjoy the game, or they are so wrapped up in themselves that they feel their opinion is so important, it must be heard by all. Personally, I just put them on ignore if they get on my nerves. Most times nothing comes of it - but I form a lot of TF's, and I know of a few instances where someone couldn't join because I couldn't receive the message. They'd be hollering in broadcast or LFG, and I would be unaware until a teammate would speak up. At which point a huge smile comes over my face, and the TF becomes that much more enjoyable. Topic 3 mostly takes place in general chat - remove that tab. Most normal people do it upon immediately logging into a new alt. The only people who don't are the types who like to spew garbage, or those who enjoy participating in garbage. Unfortunately there is not much you can do when it happens on a team, other than to speak up and ask it to stop. If it doesnt, simply bow out with an explanation - or explain that you will be running the rest of the TF without chat enabled.

Why is not running content until you are maxed out important? Do you feel the content is too difficult at level? Or do you prefer things to be easy? Your powers sit their grayed (or is it greyed) out, so I am genuinely curious as to the appeal. Me, I run content from 1-50, then after I’ve maxed out, I go back and run it again because I love playing.

Instead of chat filling up with “LF AE Farm. Please please please”, it will be filled with “Need 1mill infl. Please please please. IMO, we should be working on ways to get more people to play. Not even faster ways to max out their toons. You mentioned that you like doing content with people - so why not do it? Why the need to get to 50 so fast? Take the time to smell the roses. You might find that they smell good.
