If you guys run them regularly, why not post screen cap of your time at the end? Make it a competition, and give something for other groups to strive for ph yeah - make them kill alls - not speed runs 🙂

I do agree they are sincere, and I hope that I didn’t come off as attacking them. my thoughts are this - there seems to be a lot of players who take one type of AT, want to play it like another, and then when they can’t, ask the devs to make changes. It’s confusing to me.

No for me What would you want to take away the one thing that PBs/WS do that no other AT can do? IMO if you want to stay in costume 100% of the time, you may be playing the wrong type of AT

I was simply throwing out something I hadn’t seen suggested yet. I didn’t want to discuss it because it’s not something I have that strong an opinion on. As for dictating play style - umm, reread what I wrote.

One way to slow down and/or curb some power levelling -> put a cap on the number of levels that can be obtained per hour/day (just throwing it out there, not for discussion or to be told how foolish I am) I mainly play on Excelsior, so I cant really speak on the other servers. I have run across some 50's that had no idea what they were doing. How to travel. What their own powers did or were capable of. I even came across a 50 that had no enhancements at all. However, it is not very often. Would I like a level to be a true indication of their experiences? yes, of course. The other day, I saw a toon that was less than 45 days old, with a veteran level over 200. All I did was shake my head, and move along. This issue is not ruining the game, or even my enjoyment of the game. It means nothing. Just like forum post count is not an indication of knowledge, or insight.

Sorry you don’t like it - but that’s your problem. I explained my reasoning for liking the idea, which I have a right to do. You don’t have to like it or accept it. It is what it is. just like you have the right to seemingly get upset at a suggestion.

How do you decide who should be upset? Do you always side with the other person? Do you feel they are the victim, and need to be defended? If the prevailing mentality was we should never release the names, would your opinion differ? I'm honestly curious, and hope you don't take it as me attacking you. Its just my opinion - but I would rather we believe a new player will stick around, rather than hope someone will return after two plus years. Like I brought up in an earlier post. Most, if not all states have laws governing abandoned vehicles. They are required to send notification to the owners after a certain time period has lapsed - usually only a few days. If the vehicle is not moved/picked up within a reasonable amount of time, it is towed away and sold at auction. That is actual property. Bought, paid for, owned. I think after 2 years, it reasonable to do the same thing (minus the auction part) for something that is not bought, paid for or owned.

Every decision that a person has to make, has countless What Ifs. That doesn't mean something shouldn't change.

I think this is the misconception of some people Are there players that are complaining about not getting the right name? Yes Is that the reason everyone who wants this to happen? No For me - its not about any name I want. Names are easy for me. I dont care if they relate to the power or not. I want names released to make it easier for newer players , because I want this community to grow. If one new person tried to log in today, create a toon and is not able to come up with a name because they don't have the creative ability to do so, and then quits out of frustration - that is someone we lost. For what? Now we have 2 people not playing. The one who quit, and the one who hasn't logged in since 2019.

I understand what you’re saying. I just don’t agree with a “do no harm/make everyone happy” mentality. IMO it’s impossible. Release the names - people who haven’t played are not happy. Lock the names - people who are playing/want to play are not happy. How does a person decide whose happiness is more important to the greater good of the community?

In some states, a vehicle can be legally declared abandoned after 5 days. A spouse can be legally declared dead after 7 years. if we use those two numbers as the threshold for this argument, I once again ask you for your opinion? What time period? please take into account that physical personal property is not being claimed - unlike the two laws I mentioned.

Demanding proof in an argument based on opinion is kinda stupid, don’t you think? there are no facts to support either argument. In your opinion, what time period (we use time because it would be silly to think people would step up and say “I’m outta here”). What time period do you believe is acceptable to wait before declaring someone officially gone?

Holding onto something to purposely keep from others, with no intention of utilizing, is also considered selfish. so which form of selfishness wins?

Why buy a travel power when you can just pick it? In all seriousness, I struggle to find a power I want/will use by the end anyways. So using a slot or two on travel is fine by me.
