  1. @GM_GooglyMoogly I have a suggested new Form / Code of Conduct rule and I think it should be seen here rather than discussed in support tickets or DMs etc, and be made public. In regards to the ability to deliberately derail conversation and incite negative emotions in other players, trying to goad (bait) them into responses that become arguments that become fights. This should flat out not be allowed, and a rule needs to be set that describes exactly how and why it isn't allowed. Here's my proposal: "Rule X: Going out of your way to try and find loopholes in these rules and deliberately troll other players or manipulate discourse while pretending you did nothing wrong, will not be tolerated. The moderators know and understand the difference between "debate" and "pointless contrarianism"; you are not smarter than them. Repeated offenders will be warned and have their comments removed. A continued pattern of violations may result in a ban." Let me know what you think.
  2. @Bionic_Flea I don't think that the ideas or rules of your contest are necessarily flawed BTW. I just think that the burden of proof needs to include a video of the run and the combat tab running at the same time. Video proof is already required for speedruns of most content in most other games. Also by providing a video AND that video showing combat log / dmg numbers, plus uploading a build as Koopak was already requiring: someone else can easily attempt to imitate your run with your exact character. If they load your build and Haymaker hits for 120 dmg, but in their run it was hitting for 200 dmg, then you can identify that something was different. This can help eliminate other potential shenanigans as well, like if someone snuck in Poison Debuffs or a Warburg Nuke before they started recording, etc. It's not too hard to catch cheaters, especially when they cheat poorly.
  3. Nice run Sai, very legit. Not surprising someone who fightclubs could take this record even lower. Regen is the best set in the game after all. I know you test builds on Pylons 12 times a day so this is definitely very good good good.
  4. It's honestly cute that you're so trusting, but there's about a hundred other ways to cheat a Pylon time when the only proof required is that picture at the end if video evidence isn't part of it, including any level of assistance from another character up-to-and-including something else doing the Pylon test and you just standing close enough: then them leaving the FoV and you claiming the time as your own with that chat tab that only shows Broadcast chat. There's not even a screenshot of the combat log (combat tab should be open during the video, and this should be the minimum standard for proof). Nobody had blatantly tried to cheat yet so it wasn't brought up: and most of the previous winners all posted a full video.
  5. I don't suppose you'd be interested in uploading a video of how you got that first time? I would prefer to see footage of how you play rather than just that picture...
  6. Hey, I think the idea of using TF settings to disable Temps and Insps is very forward-thinking to prevent cheese and promote fairness of the competition.
  7. The Orange Circle must be fed.
  8. Generally patch notes will show the numbers or at least the damage scales, but one of the powers devs in particular has a habit of only posting the new/changed numbers and not the full list of the old numbers prior to the change. This obfuscates the data and often hides the portion of the power that was nerfed, or the part that is severely out of line with comparable powers and the rest of the game (ex. Epic Tar Patch requires a tohit check for its -Res but no other version of the power does). Not only would we like some statements of intent as per the OP, but I'd also like the devs to post an actual full snapshot of before and after for any change, that shows the full extent of what is different now. Then at least players have the all necessary information to form an opinion and to begin testing.
  9. That's a good article since Gwyneth "Goop" Paltrow is #1, peddling her snake oil and scamming uninformed women. Definitely the worst actor.
  10. PROTECT THE EARTH, huah!
  11. Hey I went ahead and took the name "Be Axecellent to EO", in honor of my turning over a new leaf and becoming a bastion of peace. I just wanted you to know. You helped me finally think up a concept to make an Axe Scrapper after the reworks.
  12. It's a problem because this type of interaction literally summons GMs and then locks threads, ending all possibility of further communication. Arcane is a bad actor who is abusing the nature of these systems to basically scream "nu uh, the sky is actually green, not blue" and then bait people into pivoting from talking about the topic of the thread, into debating why what Arcane said is wrong. This exact scenario has played out a hundred times before, and anyone paying attention can predict how it ends. Since Arcane is never making any arguments in good faith, and instead deliberately just starting fights and locking threads... maybe they shouldn't be allowed to post? A time-out period and reviewal of the rules may be in order. We as a community can never get anything done because of a small handful of posters here who do this shit and abuse the systems and the nature of the moderators/GMs. One solution is to stop taking the bait. The other solution is for these people to finally face some just punishment for their actions.
  13. I can log in just fine! 😀
  14. I tried to prevent this...
  15. The Carnie phase mechanic feels random (and it effectively is) and this dramatically punishes builds with a strong single attack that they build around, or a debuff they need to hit in order to soften up targets. Say for example you use Melt Armor on your Thermal on the Carnie group but that stupid boss phase dodges it: you've been robbed of your -Res and won't get it till the next fight. Now say you're on an Energy Melee character and your TF gets phase dodged: welp your whole set doesn't work now and you don't get any Fast ETs until it recovers. The problem is glaring and that is an enemy group that people really don't like. Compared to that, nuCoT and nuCouncil are still not as annoying. Gosh I hate fighting Carnies so much.
  16. It's a shame that Arcane's disruptive, contrarian comments caused even this thread to devolve into a fight. This is why I actually ignored them (like the devs ignore feedback) and don't engage. We could be much more productive, and have way less infighting, if other people would simply not take the bait and just not get involved in these arguments. We're supposed to discuss the merits of each other's arguments and points, not sink to personal attacks against individual posters... but it's tiring seeing threads get derailed by fights like this over and over. Enough fighting and a GM shows up, more fighting then the thread gets locked. This essentially allows a sufficiently disruptive contrarian to inadvertently lock any thread that they want silenced... so long as you all continue to take the bait. Get back on topic, ignore Arcane.
  17. I'd love any new about the devs addressing the 50 or so bugs we've reported since this post, including but not limited to: Absorb powers not stacking correctly, Wet text remaining in-game and confusing new players, multiple ATO procs (especially Brute) being erroneously affected by the Purple Patch and causing their self-granted values to be lower than intended vs higher level enemies, etc. I literally see no valid reason why a bugfix patch can't come out ahead of the next content patch. Making the game work correctly > adding shiny new things. Where's that communication?
  18. Imagine if the devs spent that time and energy buffing dogshit sets up to par: like Empathy, Broadsword, Staff Fighting, Empathy, Kinetic Melee, Archery, Empathy, and finally Empathy. Making the weakest sets in the game be less awful would have actually improved player enjoyment instead of spawning 16 page topics like this one...
  19. NO PUSHING! Be excellent to each other.
  20. Tell me you don't know what Defense does. Fortitude already does this.
  21. It's just nice to get to see more info about the game, and some stories/opinions from outside the narrow band of the Homecoming dev team.
  22. It's more like a reverse Disruption Field: instead a toggle that debuffs all around an ally, it's a toggle that buffs all around an ally. The nice thing is that I don't think the power needs to be renamed in this case, nor have its numbers adjusted much at all. It's just now a toggle AoE on someone. This change, plus merging the RA's, plus adding a new power in the new slot, is at least enough to make Empathy basic and relevant finally.
  23. You won the thread, issue solved.
  24. This sounds awesome. Cloaked Robots should be a feature.
