Well, another TT for the books. Looked like a slow start but after a couple of PSAs by Kilo and Ronin, the Tanks came rolling in and it wasn't long before we had our 24 member league for BAF. Was one of the smoothest BAFs I've even been on. Thanks Kilo and Ronin for taking the reins and to everyone who had input on the trial. I think the changes to Tanks and a league full of 50+ Tanks made all the difference this time (also the TF wasn't as "new" as when we tried it on live). With the ease of success I'd say we more than made up for our last attempt. After the success came Lambda, and another successful run with just 10 of us. After that Market Crash with eight, then a couple of missions to finish the night. All in all, a full evening of fun. Thanks all for joining and thanks all who help lead the events, we couldn't do it without you. The gathering BAF begins MC I think, but was a 'splody and rad shot, so I posted it. MC, the end.... We'll see you all back on Excel next week for the star of September's TTs !

Hi all, I wanted to bring this forward as our All Tanker BAF will be this Tuesday 8/31, on Excelsior!! Please get your toons ready roll. We'll meet in King's Row as usual at 6PM PDT/9PM EDT and form up where ever we need to from there. Depending on turnout we may need to run this twice or have two team going (max per league on this one is 24(?))? Also, if you bring a lower level toon, you'll need to be ready to form teams as the emphasis on this event will be on the BAF first, with normal teaming to follow. See ya' there!

Two questions, 1) did you try the omega head/face pieces, and 2) will we see it at a TT? Also, I think that the veined costume pieces might work for certain areas (greens and browns being used).

Yes! Shield/SS is a classic, a great paring. And, the really cool thing is you have all these slots, and all these servers to try a new Tank out on... And.. Tanker Tuesday to join to try out your new combos (yes, I know shameless plug... but hey, it's my job).

My vote would be for Tanker, but DA does well on Brutes as well.

Irradiated Ground can be used as a proc AoE aura too. It's a very nice.

Mace is a solid choice for pairing with Shield, I personally would go with Fiery Melee, but I'm known to be bias towards it (see signature). Dark Melee is also very good with Shield and provides a single target heal power.

Fun times on Indom tonight. Two teams, one Manti (thanks for leading Ronin) and one 3 Tanker Yin (thanks MsA and Agoogala for being great teammates). Next week (8/31) is our all Tanker BAF on Excel - Stellar Power will be leading. So get your Tanks Incarnated up and join the fun!!

Hi all, Life's been pretty busy lately and I think I failed to mention that we'll be on Indom tonight for our usual "4th of the month" Tanker Tuesday Tour. We'll see you at the usual time (6:00 PM PDT/9:00 PM EDT). I'm not sure if I set the TankHQ message, so let people know that the event is as usual (I just forgot to update the MoTD). I think it was on the Tanker forums, but someone had posted their Swamp Thing concept using Bio/Dark. That looked like a great match up (the way they had done it, costume/coloration included). I think it will ultimately depend on how your define "Swap Thing's" powers. I can see arguments for Invuln, WP, Bio, and Rad for Swampy. I can also see Arguments for SS, Dark, and maybe Energy, (could argue Fire, for Marvel's take on it, or at least Epic and Judgement Power). I think Bio's animations would be appropriate for the toon, but you could turn them off if you wanted (I do it all the time for non themed heroes). I'd go Bio/SS, Bio/Dark, or Bio/SS (I have to say Rad/Dark is an incredible combo, perhaps a "hidden (not so much) gem".

Had a good time on Reunion today. Two Tanks leveled to 50, Ronin and I, and we ran missions and a Citadel TF in 51 mins!! And a Tanky welcome to the new and returning Tankers who were able to join the event. Ding! 50! (although shot from a distance) Moar Herdz The starry after affect of Ronin dinging 50. And it looks like September 18th will be our next stop on Reunion. Take care all, we'll see you then!

Stellar Power will be leading) Our TT event started with the Rikti attempting to raid King's Row, which apparently I didn't get pics of... Next was Hess: And to end the evening we found a bunch of carnies to herd... We enjoyed, but I don't believe they did.

I'd say it would depend on the final concept you have. WP seems the most obvious for a "really tough human", Invuln (to me) would be some kind of enhancement, and Shield would put you in riot control/SWAT category (as PLV already mentioned). Of the three you mentioned, all three will be solid performers and there are some great builds both offered in this thread as well as on the rest of the Tanker forums. That said, I would like to add that Shield Charge is pretty freakin' awesome and hard to resist playing a Tanker. Just my 2 infs worth, but all of them would be a fun run to 50 and beyond.

Seemed to be that kind of night. Although, I have noticed that no matter when I snap a pic, I can't seem to capture all the mobs that I see on the screen. Not sure if that's a video card issue, a mechanic of the game, or a network issue. Anyways, seemed to not be the night for pics. Good thing we get a chance to take more every Tuesday! ;)

10 Tanks tonight on Indom, witch = 2 Yin TFs. Fun times and leveling for all. After which we ran various PI missions. I didn't get any screenies, but Stellar was on our team, so hopefully he took some. That said... I think you've gotten about as close as you're going to get with the Def/Recharge you have in place. Where were the Def numbers when you tried a perma Hasten build?

The one thing I will give PSi Melee is the animations are great and fun to watch, but the overall performance of set seems lacking to me. Based off your toon concept I'd say it is an excellent choice and you seem to be leaning that way. Energy Melee, especially now, is also and excellent set, but you have the "Pom-poms of Doom" (which can now be colored) as opposed to a PSi fist, PSi Blades and "mass fling" in Mass Levitation. So if the visual effect is what you want, PSi Melee is your choice.
