Hi all, Just a reminder: Tonight the Shield Tanks on Torch got toe-to-toe with the Romans! Bring you shield Tank and join us in our first "all shield" ITFs!

My experience with Ice Armor (IA) is that while leveling your defenses aren't high enough to stand in fights for prolonged periods of time and until you get Energy Absorption, life in combat is kind of a drag (low End, decent but not high Def, so-so damage (from PSi Melee (PSiM))), so a good pairing with your secondary is critical. For me PSiM was not that impressive of a match with IA (or any of the other sets I've matched it with (Radiation Armor, and Dark Armor, I think...)). I will allow that I'm partial to Fiery Melee, so by default that becomes my metric to compare everything against. Imo FM > PsiM. I'm not sure if I've leveled a Ice/Electric... probably on live, but I don't think I've tried it here. Oddly enough, the most fun I've had with IA has been with Spines. I think Savage Melee might be interesting too and the revamped Energy Melee looks promising as well. There used to be a chart that showed the damage analysis of all the secondaries, I haven't seen it in a while, but I think FM was around the middle of the pack (maybe just above). And to me PSiM is well below FM (just to give an off the cuff scaling). So, I guess the direct answer to your question is PsiM, but the pairing with IA didn't help.

A little light on Indom tonight, but we managed to get a Numina's TF team rolling and a missions team going. Thanks to MsA for leading the missions team and to Hera for leading the Numina's TF team. We were able to merge teams after and continue with the missions/fun! Thanks all for joining the event, and we'll see you on Torch next week for our "5th Tuesday" event, All Shield ITFs!! Another fun and productive run on Reunion. We were able to get both Posi TFs in and Yin's as well. We'll be back on Reunion on 4/17. Hope you see you then (probably running Citadel's TF then).

Great input, thanks for the info. After looking things over, I think I need to give PSi Melee a try with a different armor set... Too many powers needed from IA, and too many interesting attacks to try from PSi Melee. I've tried Boggle and wasn't impressed. Maybe I'll try the proc in there, but the whole concept of confusing foes doesn't seem very "Tanky" to me. On the latest Mids, I dropped Boggle and took everything else. I've got a better build planned out. So, I'll do the respec and see what I think.

Hi MrAxe (great name), Thanks for the input. Have you tried procing in Mass Levitation or PSi Blade Sweep? I was wondering if it was worth it.

Hi all, I working on my level 50 Ice/PSi Tank, and I have to say that the ride to 50 wasn't the most fun I've ever had. That said, can I get some input on PSi Melee? What's skippable, what's necessary, what slotting have you used and what do you like most (tricks are also welcome).

Hi all, Although I had to bail a bit early last night, we definitely had a good run. Thank you Witty for leading the ITF, and to Kilo for taking the missions team once I logged. I hope you didn't kill them too badly... This Saturday we're back on Reunion @10:00 AM PDT, so join us there for the TT weekend edition. The 23rd, we're on Indom. I think the best part (and why I rolled the toon) is to watch it do the jump kick (can't remember the attack atm). It's funnier than hell to watch and I paired it with a local chat setting to do HiiiYYYyaaa!

Hey Ronin, Thanks for posting that, I knew we had run someone up pretty quick, but couldn't remember the exact number of levels. Kilo, I guess this thread will serve as a repository for our mentoring exploits (when they happen). Although... technically Witty should be our "official" Tanker Tuesday Chronicler ( I think I actually gave him that title or something similar on live prior to sunset).

Hi all, Thanks for getting TT up and running last night. I was able to get on for a few, but was to exhausted from my day to stay on for long. I'm not 100% sure, but Pep's leveling may be the fastest so far, I know we've had other players get close to that number of levels, but don't remember the exact total number (also I think they started later than level 2). Always, good to hear everyone had an enjoyable time. With any luck I'll be able to attend Torch next week, which is where our next TTT will be held. See you al there. Ice/PSi, I thought it would be a pretty cool (no pun intended) pairing, but it turned out pretty "meh". In all fairness I haven't really dug into the build to see if I can make it better, but for some reason I just don't want to... Maybe this thread will motivate me to try again. It's odd because I've used Ice for various off pairing and concept builds before. This one just hasn't lived up to what I'd hoped it would be.

Just saw the post. The build looks pretty good to me. I'd say you've got the right idea, play it and see how you like it.

Hi all, Looks like the added weight of our Tanks took down Reunion this morning. Right now we're in a holding pattern to see if the server comes back up. If it's not back up by 10:15 AM PT, we'll land on another server (switch back to Reunion when it comes back up).
