  1. Just to be devil's advocate for Ion, I've noticed that in most situations you'll get far more hits from it than the radius AoEs, and that's probably why it's my "go to" Judgement. That said, Pyronic does have the advantage of being a Targeted Ranged AoE, so you can use it to aggro another single mob (where as Ion hits many... not just one mob, but possibly multiple mobs - which isn't a bad thing, you're a Tank! But you may what/like slightly more control of the power than Ion offers). I was wondering about other Interface options, so thank you for the input Sir Myshkin. One other thing I forgot to mention was you're concern about lack of healing, with only DM providing that (Siphon Life). You and also slot Power Transfer's +chance to heal in Dark Consumption, which might help (note, if it's already there my apologizes, I haven't looked at the build today), and I think Seers (and probably other pets too) provide heal/s as well. So, depending on what you're looking for, one of the sets that include that might be a good option.
  2. I'd like to preface this I don't usually play defense based Tanks. That said and based off the ones I do play here's my 2 infs worth: Alpha Musculature Radial Paragon or Cardiac Core Paragon (to stack a little more Resist with the Hybrid option) Judgement Your call, I like Ion, but there is an argument for Void, Mighty and Pyronic. Destiny Either Core or Radial (not sure if the Radial aspect stacks with debuff resist (if it does, your call based on play style)) Epiphany Lore Your call, I tend to go with Banished Pantheon, but I have used Seers and Carnies as well. Hybrid Melee Core Embodiment (more damage resistance) Interface Reactive Core Flawless Interface or Diamagnetic Core Flawless Interface (depends on how well the To Hit Debuff works. On some toons I've noticed a difference on other not so much, again your call)
  3. A great run on Everlasting tonight one missions team and two ITFs. Thanks for leading the missions Ronin and thanks to Pep and Lor for taking the lead on the ITFs. We're back on Indomitable next week 4/27. Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PT/9pm ET, and we'll get rolling from there.
  4. Hi all, I'm likely caught up in with RL today. Vet TTers and Kilo, can you get the event started and I'll join when possible.
  5. Ahhh... that's because I forgot (sorry lotsa' RL things going on atm). That said, Yes! It is on for today! Hope to see you all there!
  6. Next week (4/20) we're heading back to Everlasting for our next TTT! Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PT/9pm ET, and we'll get rolling from there.
  7. Another fun TT on Torch. Two TF teams, one ran Synapse and the other Manti. Much leveling was had and thanks to Coltech for leading the Manti team. Screenie of Babbage hiding on the roof to escape the Tanks.
  8. I was looking for an Invuln build to help me with my Ice/Invuln Scrapper (which seems very squishy to me (currently level 30ish)), and I happened upon your thread. First, thanks for posting the build as it gave me insight into slotting for Scrappers (I usually play Tanks). Second, how's the build doing? Have you played it much since the re-tuning? If so, what do you think? If not, why not? I'm finding it difficult to keep my Scrapper on it's feet. PSi /Tox/Cold and Fire just eat him alive. Thoughts on leveling build tips (other than "tough it out")?
  9. I have done this combo and it's a blast. I'd go this route if you want some crazy fun. The Teleport opening attack (post 38) really makes the build worth the wait. Meltdown+BU+Savage Leap (SL)+Radiation Therapy (RT)+Ground Zero (GZ) and Rending Fury = Where'd everyone go? (note: you can mix/match your AoE Attack chain to your style). RT and GZ do debuff so there is a argument to be made for doing those first, after SL.
  10. This. In fact... I might have to try that combo... don't think I've done that paring yet.
  11. Belated screenies. Zot - Yes, that's a Tank shoot the BIG bot. Ya' got me...
  12. A good turnout on Excel tonight. We were able to field 3 teams. Two TF teams (Tin/Mage) and Citadel, and a missions team. Thank you Hera and Kilo for leading teams tonight. Next week we're back on Torchbearer, 4/13. Meet in KR by IP gate at 6pm PDT/9pm EDT, and we'll get rolling from there. If you see two King's Rows we'll move over into IP right next to the KR gate.
  13. I haven't looked at Zeraphia's build but Rad was my first though. Unless you're doing a very specific farm, then chose a set that closely matches that. The advantage of Rad is that is very IO friendly and can be built for almost any and everything.
  14. Revamped Energy Melee would probably pair with it too. Also Radiation Armor does pretty well on both those TFs.
  15. Great post VV and glad to see players getting well deserved credit. I hope posts continue to flow into the thread.
  16. Such a considerate and kind-heated kind-hearted Tanker. Truly a credit to his class (My bias could be based on Fiery Melee...).
  17. Great job! Thanks Witty!
  18. Wait a sec... Arthur was a moth and not a bunny???!!! #8O
  19. Yeah, with the varying recharge times, builds, internets, and such it was pretty hard to get a timed unison charge going. I think the best we did was the "continuous assault charge" (one Tank would plow into the mobs, then the next Tank, then the next Tank, etc...). Still had a blast and watching to goons get mowed down, stand back up, get mowed down *rinse repeat* was pretty fun and humorous. Also having me Def at about 123% all night pretty much meant that not a got through it. And since I had just upgraded my Hybrid T4 to the Melee Core Embodiment whatever did get through didn't do much (also running Cardiac T3). I don't think we've done a 5th Tuesday on Indom yet. So how does everyone feel about an MSR on June 29th? Anyways, see you all next Tuesday on Excel!
  20. The Crew Wall o' Kelds Romi needs a hug
  21. A great 5th Tuesday run! Three all Shield Tanker teams taking on the Romans (the never had a chance!). Pics to follow. Next week we're back on Excel. Meet in King's Row by IP Gate at 6pm PDT\9pm EDT, and we'll see you then!
  22. Hi all, Just a reminder: Tonight the Shield Tanks on Torch got toe-to-toe with the Romans! Bring you shield Tank and join us in our first "all shield" ITFs!
  23. My experience with Ice Armor (IA) is that while leveling your defenses aren't high enough to stand in fights for prolonged periods of time and until you get Energy Absorption, life in combat is kind of a drag (low End, decent but not high Def, so-so damage (from PSi Melee (PSiM))), so a good pairing with your secondary is critical. For me PSiM was not that impressive of a match with IA (or any of the other sets I've matched it with (Radiation Armor, and Dark Armor, I think...)). I will allow that I'm partial to Fiery Melee, so by default that becomes my metric to compare everything against. Imo FM > PsiM. I'm not sure if I've leveled a Ice/Electric... probably on live, but I don't think I've tried it here. Oddly enough, the most fun I've had with IA has been with Spines. I think Savage Melee might be interesting too and the revamped Energy Melee looks promising as well. There used to be a chart that showed the damage analysis of all the secondaries, I haven't seen it in a while, but I think FM was around the middle of the pack (maybe just above). And to me PSiM is well below FM (just to give an off the cuff scaling). So, I guess the direct answer to your question is PsiM, but the pairing with IA didn't help.
  24. A little light on Indom tonight, but we managed to get a Numina's TF team rolling and a missions team going. Thanks to MsA for leading the missions team and to Hera for leading the Numina's TF team. We were able to merge teams after and continue with the missions/fun! Thanks all for joining the event, and we'll see you on Torch next week for our "5th Tuesday" event, All Shield ITFs!! Same Tank time, same Tank meeting place to start. See ya' then!
  25. Yeah, that was pretty fun/crazy. No matter how many we put down they just kept coming. Oh, and on another note, we're on Indom tonight. See you all there!
