In my salvage tab, I always select 'Rarity Ascending' to group them. In my base storage bins, I group them by common, uncommon and rare, and leave one bin for special salvage...cats, enh converters, unslotters, etc.

I have never capitalized numpad, and don't know if it might be the problem, but /bind numpad7 is the way I have always used that command.

LOL..I do lowest to highest because it's the lowbie that need the most work, and it makes them easy to select...no scrolling through 4 pages
