  1. Tried to beat the Trick or Treat event.. oh well. Any feedback? It should be a Maximum Experience with a little fun and a bit of a change up. I'd like to get it dialed in before the next round of AE nerfs (aw Troo why you foreshadow so hard).
  2. Having been told this is what the players want.. NO FIRE SWORDS!! Summer's Over - A Halloween Fire Farm (page 4 5) Arc ID: 52116 Something bad has happened in a tunnel north of the city and Jackalynn is too blame. Something about offspring disappearing, getting scooped out, carved up and burned from the inside. Luckily she only does fire damage and is a lottery ticket for experience. feedback.. welcome?
  3. this is the big one
  4. Jackalynn is coming soontm in Summer's Over. A new slasher arc at your local AE theater. Something about seeing how citizens like their offspring disappearing, getting scooped out, carved up and burned from the inside. Jackalynn.costume
  5. sooo.. I make a fiery/fiery " Isaburn " She's pretty hot.
  6. the Conductor Toscanini Bernstein
  7. What would you suggest?
  8. Would this be prioritized above or below Shadow Fall having less fx or more transparency?
  9. @TygerDarkstorm that costume is excellent. ..and you get a participation trophy @Mopery yours is a nice african theme. a lot of different stuff coming together nicely.
  10. Newest project is almost done. Some will be able to guess the rest just from a glimpse. Sinclair Sebastian Sinclair (Dark/Elec non-Defender) You really shouldn't depend on this defender.
  11. I do remember something in the context of a costume contest. I wouldn't have said it was okay to do.. or at least I shouldn't even if it was inferred. What I likely said was folks can typically get away with some stuff on temporary costumes for contests (meaning: it is just temporary and if a person got generic'd it would be no biggie) I believe I had a ghostbuster 'like' costume for the contest @Excraft is mentioning (not one of the actual characters). Typically I go by the rule of name, costume, description. If we do two of the three it's gonna get generic'd. Maybe someone can get away with one.. maybe. @JasperStone you can totally do it. Just tread lightly on name or description. (avoid anything written of what your inspiration was and it'll likely be fine)
  12. Leadership might be on the down trend but I still see it lots when teaming. I like Maneuvers, slotting out Tactics and mule-ing Vengeance, but that's all for myself. Likely Leadership Impacts: Invention Origin enhancements Copy n Paste builds (one poster put out 5 'epic' builds across multiple topics the past 24hr and 1 had leadership) The rise of solo play ..but maybe the impact of Incarnates, folks just skipping to 50+T3, and then playing down. The end drain can be mitigated-ish these days.. any references to starving street walkers earning a fiver are simply hyperbolic exaggeration, and strangely detailed.
  13. Oh my bad for not e-peening to your level. My descriptions were "affordable and easily upgrade-able" NOT uber or the-best. It's a different build than what you might shoot for, sure. It's also available by Level 48. (drop a slot from Twilight, Tar Patch, & Dark Consumption or elsewhere) 'Solid' to me is obviously different than to you. To me by level 48, safe-ish at range (45+% R/E/N) and able to -tohit debuff (20 to 40+%) with 300-ish dps in 30s bursts seems fairly solid. Maybe you've long forgotten having just SOs. Note: Fearsome Stare is pretty luxurious for casual solo play. For some, Fearsome Stare > Darkest Night. Together = comfy. It is sometimes laughable to see T4s and Superior ATOs in the brag builds. No wonder Homecoming has become Farmville. The build you posted last is fine. (the gap to 45% on many of the other defenses is larger than your -tohit when solo. Fluffy might cover)
  14. Can definitely swap Fire Breath or Rain for Inferno, their set bonuses can be similar (just push everything down one level). Tar Patch helps with scatters from Rain. I like the Snipes in my builds but cest la vie. A lot of playstyle choices are available when not looking for soft cap everything and the perfect gapless attack chain. While it is an inexpensive build, the intention was to show a solid playable version that didn't overly chase defense and could have more expensive sets and Incarnates added later.
  15. @FUBARczar We're talking teaming and +1/8, right? I saw your Psi/Dark Incarnate build. I just chose to show a Fire-Dark-Soul that has: No Incarnates No Superior Winter enhancements No Purples enhancements No ATO enhancements No HO enhancements No PvP IO enhancements (well, one Gladiator's Armor +3%) and embraces more /Dark powers like Fearsome Stare and Dark Servant.. ( I like perma Fear and -tohit ) You know, for those regular players who want to play before t4-ing and dropping a billion. We don't all need to shoot the moon t4-ing and dropping a billion on every build before playing them. ( not saying you do and if you do, I'm not judging ) The -tohit and Fear on top of the soft capped ranged defense is good for Soul Drain.
  16. It's the one above: Psychic Blast / Dark Miasma / Dark Mastery Positional Melee 45 and Range 42 Here's a little simpler Fire-Dark-Soul that is affordable and easily upgrade-able.
  17. Not a bad build at all. We almost all have builds with room for improvement, fiddling, and/or overclocking one aspect of a specialized build. Some good points have been made already so let me add: /Dark and defense: Shooting for just over 30% can be as effective as soft capping.. *G A S P* With /Dark there is much less stress to get to the softcap, especially teaming and +1/8. Go ahead and lean into the dark side of you character. Fearsome Stare at lvl twenty has 15% -tohit 45 degree arc 70 foot range Fearsome Stare can get bumped up to 20% -tohit Fearsome Stare is fairly easy to perma Can be supplemented with the heal Twilight Grasp (-5%) and toggle Darkest Night (-15%) -tohit doesn't care about Type or Positional defense So rather than gimping a character chasing the softcaps, there can be a lot more flexibility. One of my characters leverages 46% -tohit.
  18. LotGs are an exception to that rule. You get the five LotGs +rech and five 7.5% +rech from other sources if you want. That said, correct, the 6th 10% recharge would not count.
  19. Was hoping there was something known that I missed. On a third character reduced exp using the below powers and inspirations. "Night at the Movies: Final Destination" #51733, +4/8 Bosses=Yes
  20. Maybe my pseudo-pet? Burn, Ice Storm or Enflame? No NPC, fall damage, not using any pets or temps. I ran the first couple groups on @Vayek's "Night at the Movies: Final Destination" #51733 on two different characters and got different results with the same +4/8 Bosses settings. Seems odd that one character is getting exactly 2/3 the exp. You have defeated S L Minion You gain 4,267 experience and 3,982 influence. Took the character which scored higher above into the mission from the initial post and again got the higher experience. So weird.
