Update: I have run a number of 4x8s missions on Brainstorm working my way up to an ITF. Y'all had me nervous and I started on 2x8 but it was a bit comical. No inspirations needed and avoiding using Instant Healing except in very rare 'oh sh*t' moments. Using Stone Melee and the knockdowns help but aren't required to stay upright. The build (accolades, no incarnates) is not super dialed in, but cycles Heavy Mallet, Gloom, Seismic Smash with a bit of a gap every other cycle to sprinkle in Tremor. It just works its way through mobs. Found myself pausing in front of 3 Hercules & 2 Zeus Titans. Their -regen was there, but just not enough to cause a crash in regen. I was comfortable enough to try different toggle combinations. (2 Sappers though, different story).

I love the Regen hate. That's a lot of the upside. Regen + Resists is pretty strong add any decent mitigation and Def can be overkill. A reason folks don't like it is because using it effectively means interrupting attack chains. Not as important on a Tank or say a Stalker. I'm glad it's not super popular. I'm gonna go make a Stone/Regen now.. out of spite. ; ) I've been eyeballin a Dark/Regen, maybe it's time.

SM feels slow but man it hits, add a quick attack or two and it shines without all that combo mumbo jumbo.

Always excited to see some epic SM success

Good vs top, for normal play. Generally Most players live in the average to good range. Elite dps requires specialized builds and dialed in attack chains. Good is likely around 200 Very good is likely above 250 Elite could be above 300 with some pushing above 400. (there are higher dps) Link

is this good or bad?

@Doomguide2005 @Bill Z Bubba @Hedgefund yall are right. @Without_Pause was suspicious. Together with @The_Warpact you've sussed out that I'm on cold medicine, and while the directions say I should not operate heavy machinery it says nothing about the interwebs. That's no excuse for being confused though. Yes. Also I believe when Redside launched. Interesting results so far: Some Stalkers, Controllers, Scrappers, Tanks and of course Blasters. A Fortuna and War Shade. EM/EA stalker electric/thermal controller Ill/Storm Ill/Dark Controller Ill/Storm grav/elec controller Claws/SR BZB scrapper™®© (Claws/SR) Claws Scrapper Elec/Shield Stalker or Scrapper EM Scrapper DP/Nin Blaster fire/time blaster Fire/Martial blaster DP/Nin Blaster rad/dark tanker Invul/EM tank Fort shade

Was gonna do 40 but figured folks may want to use purples more stuff. (nothing sinister)
-
Feel free to list one ranged & one melee. I think I'd stick with Stalker or Corruptor.
-
..and it stopped advancing at level 47. What would folks choose?
-
Great job! Keep it up player content creators.

Tool? Spreadsheets? It's the same way all decisions are made.. actually it's mids, see @Nemu's post above

Fifty Billion Worth of Chaos: A Market Thought Experiment
Troo replied to Andreah's topic in The Market
I agree. Player would have to figure out how to stem the merit flow or wait out the glut of merits. Not an enviable task. A coordinated team would have any easier time. I am often pleasantly surprised by COX. Simple layered aspects of the game combine for a richness that has shown to be hard to duplicate. -
Good stuff. To be super clear for anyone following. I am seeing similar behavior that @Solarverse listed. The exception being I've never had a long animation Assassins Strike with the current Placate without waiting 3+ seconds.
-
From the old video game, Apocalypse. The game with Bruce Willis voice over gems like: "I don't get paid enough for this crap!" "Strap one on, it's time to jam!" "Forget his rights, just shoot him!" "Open up a can of whoop-ass"

Good catch on Ice Melee @Sovera

Trying to now figure out how long until we're hidden after using Placate. I only know its a pause, more than 2ish seconds. It is not instant or close to instant.** ** IF SOMEONE THINKS THIS IS BEHAVING INCORRECTLY, I'M ONBOARD WITH ADDRESSING IT!!
-
Placate has an activation of 0.8 seconds Hide has an activation of 0.73 seconds with a recharge of 2 seconds Placate can be used without hide or stealth. If the placate effect is at 0.25 of it's 0.80 activation (as @Bopper said), and then the Hide activation. It could be a minimum of almost a full second before Hide kicks in. But it feels a bit longer than that. If Hide can't start it's clock until Placates full activation is complete it would be closer to 1.53 seconds before being hidden. Worst case could be the Placate + Hide recharge + Hide Activation. Edit: This is seen when trying to Placate then Assassin Strike. Too fast and you get the fast AS rather than the long AS. A bit of a pause in order to get the long AS.
