  1. option #5 teams are exemped down to the level of the foes in the mission
  2. this would be an entire set made of AOE's in order to balance the powers the devs would probably have long cast times and or interrupts considering the reception storm blast got due to slow summonings and the fact that this would be essentially a 1 trick pony the viability of such a set is sus (did I use that right?) have you tried the new earth blast set? its very uhhh explosive
  3. there are also a couple of alternate sonic animations that allow you to shoot from your fists looks super neat kinda like havok from xfactor or xforce or xcaliber or ahh jeez forget this..........

OP has a serious point here many auras function just fine while running but while flying obscure your character so much you cant see much else Usually I have an idea on how this could be addressed but in this situation I just avoid those auras on my "flying" characters maybe like there are "in combat" auras and abilities that only function when grounded we can have a section where auras only function while grounded?

  6. ok got it sorry haven't been too active lately 2024 has been pretty hectic to say the least please bear in mind this build is for solo play stamina is 3 slotted with 3 efficacy adapters and health has panacea and numina procs only ranged defense is softcapped best paired with fly/hover combat but ymmv there is no hasten because i cant keep track of too many powers but permadom becomes viable about 25 iirc anyway enjoy GL out there I hope I get time to play soon 🙂 Dominator - Symphony Control - Sonic Assault.mbd

  8. I think we have all been guilty of those said behaviors at some point. It all depends on your mood, the AT, the team, or how much time you have left to play. In classic COH, team strategy was basic and fairly relaxed excluding hamidon. Even in situations where teams work well together it becomes a judgementfestorama Voice chat helps tighten team strategy up. then and now.

  13. ok so I play almost exclusively red side. As a vet from 2004 i know blue side like the back of my hand its rare I encounter an area I am unfamiliar with On red side, I see something new almost every day before the gull and power expansion the pull for red side was the new AT's and the new Powersets that incentive no longer exists without a unique incentive folks will always gravitate toward the familiar. Blue side has more everything more players, more zones, more quests, more sunlight (sorry snarky) Red side has silence and dreariness (yay) Red side needs a gimmick if its to become more popular yes I said it, a gimmick. I know gimmicks are stupid but they work Here are 3 proposals to rebalance the sides: Evil fix = Remove AE from blue side completely. Farmers and sitters will flock to red and that will balance things Lawful fix = Create a SF that rewards a unique temp ability that looks "cool" like gigantification or something. Chaotic Fix = Create an ongoing red side event called "sovereignty" red siders can do quest chains to take over blue side hazard zones (not pvp) Red side gains incremental buffs the more zones they own. Hazard zones reset weekly. Blue side can defend the zone with their own quests but all they gain is the power of friendship (lol) I wanna also just say in the comics its rare the villains outnumber the heroes so the imbalance we see is par for the course.
  14. yup but sometimes they get killed during the fray regardless from stray aoes and that's before you even rescue them the mission can be completed it just requires a bit more finesse than a normal escort mission
  15. o i c thank you for clarifying. @Blackfeather how about as an alternative something like defenders get: a 10% passive buff to damage when not on a team? way too much of a powercreep to just buff their damage outright considering the bag of tricks they come with tbh I'd much rather see controllers get some more mez resistance than dmg

  17. I think DCUO had/has this in effect. you can purchase trophies or whatever that you have earned on other characters It's just a money sink and incentive to play those characters less. If this was in effect it would be possible to have a level 50 character fully IO'd out with all accolades in less than 24 hours this doesn't sound fun imo I play the game because I like playing the game If all you have to do is sit in a farm and pay a bunch of money to cap out how is it any different than playing an idler game? As an older person I can honestly say too much focus is placed on the destination I've found in life the journey is far more enjoyable.
  18. the control mapping alone would be a nightmare. but you could always reprogram a controller yourself and cast to your TV that should simulate what you want.
  19. This has been suggested before. It is possible. Not on this server but possible. I support this idea simply because There are a lot of bugged missions in oro. oro missions cannot be autocompleted when theres an issues. You cannot invite a friend mid oro mission you cannot do a different arc mid oro mission some npcs are locked out during oro missions
  20. perhaps secondary mutation can be modified so that if you are on a team the monkey transformation doesn't occur?

I was doing a level 45 red side quest from Westin Phipps. just murking some bane spiders and halfway through the chain I encounter the quest Catch Agent Gally Ido As a huge fan of Gunnm I am aware her Amnesiac name is Gally and she is found and repaired by the Dr. Ido 20 years later and still finding new stuff so here is my feedback
  22. welcome home I avoid the Metas Ive tried all the blasters I prefer cold on corrupters The unerfed AR really brings back old memories Heck even arrows/arrows is really really good (seriously) the only 1 I cant figure out yet is seismic, its too visually noisy for my tastes but ymmv stick around for awhile, we have cookies unless @Snarky ate them all again

Probably my Super strength/shield/EM brute He checks all the boxes Fast recharge so i dont have to pay very close attention to my power bar with cross punch and energy torrent I have 4 aoes murkin foes single target is pretty good too Rage+Fury+Against all odds = a very high damage cap Force feedback every freaking where Infiltration means gives me great running speed + stealth + jump Mystic flight gives me Flight + teleport. which is basically every travel power (its good enough lol) softcapped positional defenses 45% resists on average zero endurance issues even without incarnates love the sounds super strength makes the only issues are lack of a heal which isn't generally an issue except when rage crashes and takes my defenses with it. I've learned to pop a purple or CC foes with a KD of some sort tbh the rage crash keeps me on my toes or he would be too strong and I would have gotten bored by now
