  1. hello, you can modify any animation in the game you like. As long as it shares similar cast times it functions just fine. animation diversification is one of the most requested features on this forum.

  3. I feel like this would be a coding nightmare. It might be easier to release some new unique IO sets that allow you to change the inherent damage of 1 power to another type?
  4. Wow this is certainly an interesting suggestion. Personally I think kinetic melee should technically be the speedster melee since it should absorb speed from opponents and not just damage. Perhaps taking super speed and flurry unlocks new temp power burst of speed? something like the other new pools gimmick. I don't use hasten but others worship the power so good luck with any changes there.

  6. Hello everyone. Earlier today i was issued a warning for discussing something that is not illegal, immoral, or unethical. It is also not listed in the User Agreement & Code of Conduct for the forums.   8. All I did was present a ready made solution to all the problems listed in this thread. I also do not like steamrolling or farming or AE, we all have our ways we prefer to play. I Do not play on Thunderspy i simply am a huge COH fan and try to stay as informed as possible about all things COH (i can hear people shouting nerd, lol). I do not have answers to the questions you have posed about Thunderspy unfortunately. but with limited manpower and time, low hanging fruit is most likely to be picked. I apologize if my "stay safe out there" came across as passive aggressive, I end all my social interactions with "stay safe" due to the pandemic.
  9. how about ghost ship travels from zone to zone picking up random mobs along the way? if it encounters a zone where an event is already taking place a war between events occurs. all ghost mobs scale to players level. Ghost ship can travel to ANY zone red/blue/gold side.
  10. hey man check out Thunderspy Gaming - A City of Heroes Private Server contacts scale to your level as well as enemies. Its a solution that has already been implemented. which is much easier than reworking oro or exemplar/malefactoring. The Thunderspy solution also addresses all of the issues that plague Oro that were mentioned earlier in this thread Stay safe out there and have fun 🥳

I feel like the Devs are constantly adjusting how invisibility works in this game. they removed the movement penalty from steath they improved stealth's radius they gave stealth a translucency costume option they got rid of the stealth exclusivity when did stealth get a -threat modifier? (now u can run taunt auras and be undetected) Oh no wait that's all stealth......Hey devs the other invis powers need some love too!
  14. winged arms do exist in game but they are a unique piece tied to a hero. As far as water melee goes currently you can use ice which is a type of water, psi melee can be role played at water. Finally there is a Villian patron (Mako i think) who gives some water based powers. Leviathan mastery has a version of knockout blow.

  16. Plants is incredibly powerful. It kinda sounds like you are asking for a nerf? If so, know that your suggestion will not go over well on the forums (lol). If not then your suggestion would make an already powerful set even better which will annoy the power creep crew (lol). However, it sounds like you can get the style you want by making a plant/thorns dominator.
  17. This is true of a great deal of content throughout the game. Even worse i've been told that not all arcs are included in Oro. There have been many proposed solutions to this issue. The general consensus is that it would be a great deal of effort to scale up foes to match a characters increasing level. Then again there's always exemping a team down to match the content levels. Keep in mind the HC squad is small. They have a lot going on between balancing powers, creating new powers, animations, sound, bugs, costumes and new enhancements. For now use oro, as that is the original solution to finish outleved arc. While it is not perfect Bugged quests Cant invite others mid arc missing quests It is better than nothing. I too enjoy the unique and nostalgic storylines or the olden times. Perhaps we will meet up one to day kil skuls

  19. You didn't hear it from me but.....a very large part of immersion is sound and some sets lack the oomph it takes to really get you in the feels. Try switching the sounds of SJ to stone melee. If that doesn't do it for ya, you can switch the unpleasant animations for others more to your liking. Its really not that tough just switch a few file names around and booya.
  20. I just find it difficult to believe that nobody at some point said "hey maybe this energy blade and energy fist should also do energy damage?" during the design/testing/rollout phase.
  21. Does martial assault even count? its basically 1 power (a shuriken) masquerading as 4 powers that take and ungodly amount of endurance to throw.
  22. what's false? that storms take time build up? that the devs said this is not supposed to be a top tier set? that the secondary storm powers (old storm powers) have a cast time of 2 seconds? (on average) or the cast time is in line with its counterpart?
  23. Claw animations aren't that bad have you seen psi melee? Arrows could use some trails or arcs Lots of powers could use some extra animation love If we are going on the MvC metric imagine how energy blast would look lol Personally i would be satisfied with alternate animations for every power

  25. with the exception of Dual blades, Titan weapons and War mace. Every other melee set has either a guaranteed stun/immobilize/ranged attack/-fly for those hard to reach or flying foes. titan weapons has a lot of knockdowns for soft control and War mace has lots of disorients. perhaps a -fly on mass levitate instead? (i got no excuses for Dual blades lol)
