  1. I doubt you would be banned...Thread might get deleted, but most deleted thread posters still post... We've asked and failed to get an off-topic board on the forums, but you could try posting here and see what happens... Again, I very, very seriously doubt you would be banned from either the forums or the game, unless your fansites violate the Code of Conduct
  2. You already asked about the password - Already exists. Open notepad, and type your login, on the next like your password and another line break at its' end (you need to do that for it to read in properly). Save it as resume_info.txt in the same directory where your homecoming.exe is located. In Game Clock - /localtime IIRC...Unless you mean as a windowed display in the game...then I got nothing...except put a clock next to your computer? Font Size - It's in the Options->Windows->Chat...I think Chat size is the only font size you can adjust however. I want to be clear, I am not dismissing your suggestions (except #1/#2 - since you can already do this without a code change), just wanted to throw in some information if it helps in the here and now....
  3. +10...It's so hard to manage the content on my iPhone...The tiny "new" button next to a thread is so hard to touch without an extreme amount of zooming. Reply to threads is difficult with the tiny amount of screen left after the keyboard pops, and quoting someone is nigh impossible because the cut/copy function is difficult to use...
  4. So as the duly elected representative of "most in this game", did you do your duty and poll everyone or are you just making assumptions based on your own opinion? Don't recall anyone suggesting that it did DarkTyger - beyond picking apart subbacultchas comments - what are your thoughts? Do you think vets should get special treatment, or that their comments are somehow more "right" than others because of their veteran status? Or that they should be allowed to treat others poorly due to their veteran status? Subbacultchas - I agree with this. There is too much "vet-waving" in the forums. As a veteran from Issue 2 to 24, I don't think I've earned anything except my own 8 years of enjoyment. I'm definitely wrong about things (just look in the forums, I apologize at least every few days). I have opinions on what is "fun" for me, but it is no more valid than any other persons "fun" opinion. Where I do think vets, especially forum vets, add value, is by adding historical context to how/why things work the way they do. We remember why changes were made (even if we didn't agree with them), and we can bring that forward to newer players who through no fault of their own lack that context. +1 Inf Subbacultchas for the thread.
  5. I like this suggestion and what it represents, Hero's serving the community even when not actively fighting crime... My 2 cents though, is that this change has little impact to the game or the gaming community and would/should probably not be prioritized over more impactful things like new art, costumes, content, power sets, archetypes, villain groups, etc... Long/Short - I like the suggestion, and if we had full time paid developers I would hope they would give it consideration. Just be mindful that they are neither paid nor full-time. +1 Inf though for the Heroic contribution
  6. It's quite possible, and not even improbable that NCSoft might pursue some form of legal action against the Homecoming team to shut down the server. If history is any guide however, it's extremely unlikely that NCSoft would pursue the end users playing CoH on Homecoming. It would be hard to prove any damages came directly from the end users. The User Agreement really says the following 1.) Homecoming will protect your IP address and Email 2.) You will abide by their Code of Conduct.. The worst Homecoming will do is ban you from the game if you breach it. 3.) You have to be 13 years or older to play the game. This has to do with compliance with Federal Law. 4.) An indemnity clause stating that you play at your own risk, and won't sue Homecoming for any experiences you have in the game. The User Agreement is really about them protecting themselves from both the end users and the federal government. It does nothing to increase your own legal risk in the playing the game, which is already extremely unlikely for you in the first place. TL;DR - Accept the Agreement, Have Fun, and don't get overly invested because NCSoft could shut it all down tomorrow...
  7. Shinobu, as always, you are correct. Yomo, apologies, I failed to take the time to read your question carefully enough. I do not have the amswer myself. -1 Inf for me
  8. The forums have a different password than game itself. Go here to manage the game passowrd: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/account/
  9. Yomo, check the link above it explains the logic. Nothing random or date driven about it...
  10. I ran a Family Warehouse mish the other day, timed. I was strolling along thru the warehouse, controlling away, plenty of time and suddenly the mish fails me. WTF? But then I looked at the text - I was supposed to stop Draco from escaping, and I can see in the NPC chat where I triggered his escape. But because I missed it, he got away...
  11. This was hysterical +1 Inf
  12. Technically you used the un-smiley emoji. Anti-smiley? I didn’t disparage your comment. I said it did not address the point which was being discussed. The Paragon Dance Party and Pocket D make great ‘hacks’ for getting around. Short cuts that others may not know about and are different than using the trams or an SG teleporter. People dancing or not dancing at them doesn’t matter. It's true I was off topic, and apparently, I my eyes are upside down, because I swore that frown was a smile...
  13. I don't often feel like a complete idiot, but today's the day...I can't figure out for the life of me how to make a screenshot happen... I've enabled the screenshot UI, but I click the mapped key, nothing happens... Help?
  14. I agree...change is good. Besides the only pure CoH is Issue 0, 2004. Everything has been change since then...What 24 issues in 8 years? 3 major changes/year? Anyone who complains about SCORE making changes doesn't really get CoH. You can complain about the changes they made, the direction they are going, but you can't complain that they are doing something that's not CoH by making change. CoH = change.. Besides, going from Issue 24 to Issue 25 in what 7 years? It's not like they've turned the world upside down - it's still CoH... (Yes, I get that Issue 25 is an arbitrary SCORE designation, but really, it's about the size of one CoH Issue, maybe 2)
  15. Roughtrade, I used the "smiley" emoji... :) However, the entrances are now marked on the appropriate zone maps as well, no need to track down fliers anymore...Talos, Steel Canyon, and Ind Port.
  16. You do know Paragon Dance Party is back, right? :) To be fair...Paragon Dance Party location is back...there is no party or dancing anymore :(
  17. What is triggering you? I agree I said I'm all for dumping it and replacing it with assemble the team... I'm really not sure where the frustration is coming from...
  18. It's true it's not exactly the same...However in both cases it's "stick together or this won't work" kind of power...I don't think assemble the team requires everyone be in close proximity for the travel power to add value... Regardless, my question would be, what are you thoughts on the OP suggestion, replacing it specifically with Assemble the Team?
  19. I really like this list - going to try it out on my next toon! Thanks, +1 Inf for Shinobu
  20. Let it go guys...No one's going to win or convince the other...just going to rain down the CR's more on this post...
  21. Team Teleport is no different than Group Fly. If we all stick together we can all piggyback on this powerset. That said, I'd see more utility from an Assemble the Team type TP then Team Teleport.
  22. Nah, I fight Hate head-on, we are who we are.:) Except escalating arguments never changes minds, makes both parties look bad, and detracts from whatever the OP was trying to communicate... We are who we choose to be... As for where the attitude comes from, that's easy - that's how CoX was for it's entire run. It was policing other people's IP to keep themselves out of trouble. The customer base understood it, and so it became part of the culture... Fast forward, here we are 2 months into homecoming, and people are going need some time to adapt to a new mindset that was baked for 8 years with Live. Me personally, I don't feel that direct copies of IP are creative, and I choose not to team with those players...Do I have a personal problem with them as people? No. Do I "report them"? No. But it's my opinion, and sadly there is little point in arguing creativity, since it is entirely subjective...
  23. I was just going to add the super reflexes bit...
  24. There seems to be some ill will preventing more co-operation between the different private servers, and whether it's legitimate or not (which is pointless to debate here), it seems unlikely that there will be a lot of "sharing". That said, since non of these code-bases can be copyrighted, it might be possible for the Dev's to borrow or "steal" artwork from other servers without repercussion. I'm not a lawyer, and I'm sure a bunch of other not-lawyers will soon share their opinions on copyright law about whether new artwork attached to the code could be copyrighted
  25. +1 for Stupid space-time
