  1. Except for the part about bitching for years, I agree 100%. I want more content and story arcs, and I love the idea of reusing what's already out there, but...I won't go into a PvP zone for all the tea in Cimerora. If we are going to create new content and story arcs, please, please don't put them in the one place I wouldn't go...
  2. Look up 2 posts...or just go here
  3. Well to be fair, it's probably the same people who raised holy hell every time the original dev's breathed when the game was live... I think the SCoRE version of the game is great...Change is part of City of Heroes...23 issues in 8 years? And most of those issues are still bigger than all the stuff that SCoRE has done combined... And what's great, is that they have really allowed for 2 different styles of gamers here 1.) Casual Gamer like me, who wants to run missions, team up occasionally, and I'll get to whatever level I get to when I get there 2.) I want to level now - give me DFB and Double XP boosts... Keep up the good work HC and SCoRE...
  4. How is this different than what we have already? Or are just asking if we can post to the main Archetypes board (because all those child boards already exist under the Archetype Build board, which also exists)?
  5. Nice Summary Albion, +1 Inf
  6. So if the Nictus have been on earth for many decades before the Warshades and Peacebringers came. And if the PB's are their mortal enemies. And supposing they prepared for the eventuality that their arch-enemies would come...couldn't they have been preparing weapons this whole time that could defeat their enemies when they finally arrived? Wouldn't they want to propagate that technology to any faction that would a.) use it to attack their foes, and b.) their foes would likely encounter? I mean, let's face, this game isn't about winning Eisner awards here, but it's not so ludicrous to me in a world where I can never die, and always be teleported to the hospital at just the last possible second, no matter how much force is used against me.
  7. Or just live in Perma debt like I've been doing lately...Been on lvl 27 for a whole story arc...Damned Devoured Earth and their stupid spawning Will of the Earth...
  8. But it couldn't have gone down if it was reversed...The OP wanted to option to make it look more like how she looks in real life...Can't see the gender's switching in that scenario. So in this case, sexist and personal But even hypothetically, I would call a woman sexist if she said that women with small chests are practically men, and that you should be proud to have a fictional large chest...
  9. I'm usually the last person to be genuinely offended here, and I'm not the OP...But looks at how this went down (bold is mine) The tone is much more about assuming and stating how the OP should feel...that small chested women are just men, and you should be proud to have a big chest because it makes you hot. There was nobody saying "I find large chests hot". It never came up... Since it is specific about women's gender, felt like a gender based insult...
  10. No, it isn't sexism. It's tactism. Telling ANYONE to be calm and passive when arguing on the internet is just good advice. If you claim that it's sexism then you're probably trying to start an argument where one is not warranted. Or else you believe that anyone who has a disagreement with you while knowing that you're a woman is being sexist. Listen to the wisdom of an argument or the lack of it in the argument, and respond to that. Adding in side notions of "if you say this then you're sexist" just makes me think that you're trolling. Telling anyone to be passive is a bad idea...People should be assertive...not aggressive, not passive...They don't have to lay down and take it just because it's the internet. The OP shouldn't have to "go along" with gender based insults she received. It triggers me, and I'm a guy... And she certainly wasn't aggressive or mean in her response...just stating that insulting her was hurtful... So it coming across a bit, unfair
  11. I had 2 thoughts 1.) The cost would ideally (but clearly it is more technically difficult) scale up as your level increases. The Merits are based on the length of time it takes to play the arc, and most of the arcs get longer as you go more and more in game. 2.) Or put a lvl min on the purchase, because it seems that this is more of an issue late game...
  12. Reason for the current behavior: Allow people who are just stuck or annoyed with a mission to bypass it once every 3 days Rationale for the change: I just want to enjoy the story arcs and I can't sometimes for whatever reason because of a mission, and 3 days isn't enough Concern for the change: People might use it to complete missions to get the rewards faster (Reward Merits) Proposal: Allow bonus mission skips by purchasing them with Reward Merits...Neutralizes the reason people might abuse it while enabling the behavior for the OP's rationale Seems like (hahahahahahaha) it would be pretty simple to enable a new product from the Merit Vendor, and that would just adjust the days since the last mission skip to todays date + 3 days, allowing you to skip it with the current code...So you would only be able to buy them one at a time...
  13. Coyote, I just posted about not assuming the worst, I am a big believer in it. But he did just say this - Which is clearly opposite what you just said. It say, implicitly, that big breasts are one of the qualities that make men and women different. Which is false, and in my opinion misogynistic. However, I just noticed that So I'll give him props for admitting to being a jerk. But it's not an apology, and it's then justified by So I think the OP has right to feel attacked and insulted... I'm a +1 on this thread, but I'd also suggest that the GM's lock it at this point since it has fallen so far down hill
  14. Dear Dev's - this is a fictional game, can you please make all characters look like 3 ft tall pumpkins...It's fictional not RL, and I think all players should build their toons the way I do...
  15. You can do this yourself on the character select screen. There is a transfer button at the top.
  16. That's my point. There is no adding to this thread...To jump in and attack someone (you didn't) after 2 1/2 weeks is just looking for trouble, not adding anything. I'm sure I can search for anybody whose posted for more than a month and find something I can disagree with that is a few weeks old, but that's just being ornery, not contributing... And since the opinion you've posted has been repeated 2 billion times (dog math) on this very forum, almost verbatim, it's not really "adding" anything new either...
  17. Thanks again! +1 Inf Robotech Master!
  18. Stop trying to make people play they game the way you want them to play it. I agree honestly.. If people want to spend more time than getting PLed by a spine/fire brute to hit 50 in DFB. Let them. Who cares when there are faster methods? You guys are responding to something that was said 2 1/2 weeks ago...DFB was nerfed since this thread, and we've all moved on... 2 1/2 weeks on a forum is like what 2 years in real life, and 12 in dog years?
  19. I had a mission that I solo'ed for 2 hrs yesterday. I was on the very last objected and got D/C. When I went back I auto completed it as part of my 1 per 3 day allotment because I didn't want to go back thru all of that again. However, having spent the time I would like the XP, but more importantly the reward Merits for finishing the Story Arc (still have one more to go, damn Devouring Earth). So I would like the existing system kept intact for those who use this beyond sparingly. I do like the idea of being able to just log a "bug mission" in-game so that I don't have to report it separately.
  20. I saw in another post, that someone was looking to buy level 10 standard IO's. Are the standard IO's (non-set) also a part of this mechanic? Or are they sold by level... https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,4565.msg34520.html#msg34520
  21. Commenting here so I remember this
  22. I can't speak either personally or broadly to the availability of the GM's, but I have definitely seen posts, in-game chat, and discord comments by people who have had the GM help them complete a mission. So they are out there helping out... I was also going to say no to this, just based on the title, but having read the post, I understand the frustration better...I would be fine if the trade off was you could buy mission completes with reward merits (thus sacrificing much of the reward you would otherwise get) so that the "gaming of the system" is taken off the table...
  23. To the original poster - you can view all the existing drama on this exact question here - https://forums.homecomingservers.com/index.php/topic,3407.0.html If we can keep it to that thread it makes it easier to have the conversation....
  24. I don't really have an opinion on the suggestion (not saying yes or no), but I love that you want this to help empower your laziness! (Seriously, not saying your lazy, it just really made me laugh!) :D
  25. There is actually a lot of great low level content out there in the story arcs...And unlike the DFB, they offer Reward Merits for your character as well... I get the attraction of DFB is leveling quickly, and if that's really the goal, then DFB is perfect because it requires very little thought and you can just level quickly. But the Hollows and Kings Row have fantastic stories with great rewards and are more than just running from room to room fighting the same mobs over and over... Do Matthew Habashy in Atlas Park, then run the missions and contacts that David Wincott gives you in the Hollows, and then talk to Shauna Stockwell and Eagle Eye in Kings Row...
