My wife and I held a "Hot Ones" challenge at the house a couple years ago, with all of the super hot sauces from the show. One guy almost stopped breathing near the end. Another person got burns on their skin where a sauce hit. Fun times!
I dunno, combine this with my Pimp Hat suggestion and we've got the start of a new MasterMind primary set that would probably get the game shut down so nevermind.
For the Halloween event, I'd create a new character. Said character would be a dual pistols cowboy that would have a 1% chance to pop out of a trick or treated door. The cowboy would strike a pose, say "/jranger" and vanish. He'd be untargetable, unkillable and when he leaves you're left with nothing, with no explanation.
Want to really make people stick to a character? Make it so each time you get this slot, your vet level resets. IE: At 100, you get your slot and your vet level goes to 0. Get back up to 200 and get that slot, vet level goes back to 0, etc.
Ok, pure spitballing a nutso idea because I have clue zero if it could be done, but run a story arc to begin to/restore Galaxy and in the plaza in front of FC HQ, there's a statue of your character ala the one from Number Six's arc whenever you visit the zone. Every person in the newly rebuilt Galaxy sees their statue, not someone else's. Doable? Dunno. Kinda neat? Maybe.
I'd be down for a new story arc with a TF at the end to reclaim Galaxy, but the Freedom Tutorial ties into the Coming Storm and is referenced throughout the game (I mean, you'd put Twinshot and Doc Graves out of work!). Add, not subtract.
When doing Montague's missions to open up the Midnighters Club, does anyone else immediately hear Lil Jon's "Turn Down For What", but with Argot'BurWot instead when asked to rescue the friendly Rikti?
