  1. Nice job for such a toxic group of people.
  2. You now have to roll a save against poison.
  3. You should be able to have reasonable expectations though. What’s unreasonable about expecting some putz to at least be at level. It isn’t a farm. Contribute.
  4. TLDR; I created a post some time ago called “Paperweights”. Got mixed results w.r.t the responses as this thread seems to have gotten. Mostly unsupportive indicating that I was the problem. I am a problem and I have problems. Ukase and I are likeminded although I’m surprised he didn’t look at badges and accolades as well (a call back of sorts). Regards, Dave
  5. If he’s allergic to something, feed it to him before the fight.
  6. I have 115 lvl 50+ toons, all IO'd out, +3 to their incarnates. I have 2 SG bases with the 2nd one just acting as an overflow. I store the following: - orange salvage - purple enhancements (~150) - winters - ATOs - pvp enhancements (a few hundred) - expensive-ish IOs or things I use often-ish like LOTGs, Numis, Oblits, BoTZ, Reactive Defense, Unbreakable Guard, etc Things I consolidate on "bank toons": - Convert reward merits to hero merits and ship off to a main toon on each account (I only cash them in when I need to purchase something with them) - Convert emp merits to transcendent and ship them across - Influence The character select screen: I alphabetize within archetype. The first 2 screens are tanks, then scraps, brutes, so on and so forth. It's a pain when I have over 10 of a type because then I need to drag everything over to the right. I considered updating the playerslots.txt directly but it's not in any great order but can be done. -- After playing a toon, some days I may play 5 or 6 toons and switch from TF to TF or trial to trial or whatever and before switching toons I send over influence if I have more than 20 mil on a toon, send along any Hero merits (converted reward merits), craft and store recipes if they meet my criteria and store any orange salvage. The initial effort to clean all this up took a while but now that I maintain better rigor with it, it's not bad. Regards, Dave
  7. I like the ambush gather just after the overpass in the 3rd mission for defeat most ITFs. It's fun, especially if the ambush spawns are close together.
  8. The problem is you're too nice. The good news is that it can be fixed.
  9. Jeez, brag more why don't ya!?!?! "I wish I had a bigger house for all my friends to come visit!" I have 2 accounts so each is a global friend to the other but then I had to put myself on global ignore. It almost led to fisticuffs.
  10. Looks like I'll be making a new scrapper ... 🙂 I'll share two more that I'm pretty proud of and that'll be it, my fire/atomic blaster and my nature/water defender. The fire/atomic build took a lot of work and re-work, my latest changes took fold space. I considered dropping defenses down to 35% or so, a small purple inspiration away so I could proc more, but I almost always tend to aim for 45% on the defenses. With the nature/water, everything just fell into place and I felt like I had the perfect build on day 1. That rarely happens. Nature is strengthened by it's amazing buffs and effectively 2 self heals but man oh man am I a tank on that toon. The nature/water could probably use a makeover since it's an old build, prior to some of the new sets coming out. Maybe I'll just go ahead and do that. Edit: and yeah, looking at my nature/water build I even went with the straight up defense IO instead of the lotg+ recharge because I'm a maniac and needed that precious 45%. I've grown a bit since then. Not much, but a little.
  11. Grav/dark and plant/dark. /dark on trollers is really really powerful. Perfect survivability numbers and with grav, get recall friend to tp the singularity around and use enflame on him to make him a burning machine, doing 600 to 700 damage per minute. You have to reapply enflame every 60 seconds I think but it's a minor inconvenience. Taking enflame requires you to go 3 deep in the sorcery pool but it's worth it.
  12. Here's a neat tip, if you have a toon built using whatever method you choose and you want to get it into a program like Mids in order to better visualize it and fix any problems with it because you didn't use it initially, you can login to the game, load up the character and then run /buildsave. That'll create aa build.txt file that you can then import into mids. You'll find the file created by /buildsave under \COH\homecoming\accounts\<name>\builds\
  13. LG isn't in her traditional spot, she's in the room outside of where you enter the Vanguard base and when the leader talks to her, assuming he has the MO, you'll see a dialog option that says MASTER or something like that. I've never been the one to talk to her however but that is what I've heard. Then instead of fighting just Incandescence and Hero One, you fight the rest of 'em as well. Borea, Levantara, Gaussian, Serpent Drummer, Dark Water, Lady Grey and whoever else I may be missing. To get the accolade (not a tracked badge) and the practice dummy, you need to complete that Vanguard fight within the allotted time. You don't need to complete the rest of the strike force however.
  14. Huh, Must've been a mistake post from my phone. Not sure how to delete though. Again, appreciate the replies, thanks!
  15. Yes you and the scrapper have a love hate relationship with one another. Or a hate hate but I am aware.
  16. Thanks for the reply Mez, I didn't know about the pets healing. I think our first stacked attempt at the Vanguard fight was within the first week Aeon was out. I know you ran one that had a less than ideal team, 2 tanks, a scrap, probably you on Dom and you were able to complete it with little time left on the clock. Next time we attempt it, we'll be sure to wipe out the healers. I saw a run on YouTube where they didn't necessarily have a stacked team and they even brought a troller and a peace bringer and finished the fight in 8 minutes. That, from what I recall was our experience on our first stacked team attempt. Anyway, thanks for the replies folks and I too, love the challenge, I just wanted to make sure nothing was off here. Knowledge=power.
  17. TLDR version; first time we ran the full vanguard fight, we walked through it. Not a care in the world. The experience last night and today was much much different. ----- 3 attempts summarized below -- Completed this twice but the first time was so much easier. First time we did it we had a tank and 7 corrs, stacked buffs, heals, etc. The make up may have been: tank /dark corr 2 /natty corr 2 /ice corrs /poison corr /kin corr I think that was the makeup. We completed a full Aeon relentless run in 1.5 hours and we walked through the vanguard fight with Incan first, LG, Dark watcher then the others. It was like butter. It was our first time seeing this fight and attempting it. -- Now come to today when we tried it again and we had a pretty stacked team: ill/kin 2 cold corrs 1 bubbler def 1 poison corr 1 natty 1 emp And one other, I don't recall. We got stomped during the Vanguard fight and Gaussian seemed to have called in a lot of vanguard as well. Not something we recall seeing from our initial run some time ago. We weren't able to take them all down within the full time allotted. We survived with some deaths here or there but trying to figure out the order, and making adjustments later kinda screwed us here. -- Now our most recent attempt at the Vanguard fight, we had: tank fire/atomic blaster emp corr mind dom (we wanted to see if we could sleep 'em, we couldn't) natty corr 2 cold corr poison corr 1 person took Clarion, 6 of us took Barrier and the tank took Incandescence. We had some deaths here or there but we called out barrier and cast it every 30 seconds. This worked pretty well even though we took a defeat or two in the Vanguard fight, we had unlocked the hospital and re-gathered now and again outside the room if we lost too many. We had around 20 minutes on the clock and we took down Hero One with under 2 minutes left. -- Did anything change with this fight just after release or did we just get lucky the first time we ran it? Thanks, Dave
  18. Fair point. I'd have to check to see if there are any Brickernauts in the first part. I guess each time someone does run through and assemble or incan on the teams I've been on. No real need for stealth nowadays but I guess I'm so used to running through or someone on the team running through, I don't give it a second thought.
  19. Between when you engage the golden roller and go through all 12 AVs, there are no brickernauts. There are some after you defeat the last of the AVs and get the badge however. Oh well, my badger got it with no defeats so I'm good. It's just my opinion that removing it softens up what is a nice challenge.
  20. "Ripple Raider: no longer requires no player deaths; just defeat all AVs in the Golden Roller mission of the Aeon Strike Force." Boo! Revert that and give us a fix for Legatus instead. I thought the no defeat challenge was appropriate.
  21. What's being referred to here is the old school LRSF. The above options don't apply.
  22. Not a reply to anyone in particular but just some general thoughts. Just have the team do a nuke and shivan run, not a bad walk down memory lane in and of itself. One of the problems on the 2 runs that I've been on is that people run in, not gathering for buffs, thinking they can steamroll just like every other bit of content in the game. Now if there's no proper team make up, no proper inspiration management, and teammates not fulfilling their roles... well then, good luck. On the trip from Nerva back to Grandville I was on my fire/cold so I told the team to hold up, let me buff inside the mission, outside the mission (both in Nerva), after the TT takes us to Gville and then inside the last mission. That gave us 4 sets ice shields for several minutes (except for myself). These little things make a difference and something we don't normally think about. FWIW in one of our runs we did the sleep trick. Worked for a bit but then they all woke up and came running. I enjoy the nostalgia, the challenge, the different way of thinking and the frustrations that come along with it. Regards, Dave
