  1. For x8, Fire and Plant are the best options. Plant is more ranged based so more blaster like.
  2. If you want a two way conversation, I suggest PMs. As for the rest.
  3. I was confused by me getting a notification for this thread, and honestly had to go looking for why. Feels like needlessly naming dropping while saying what borderline looks like gibberish. EA to Tanks is a separate issue. This thread should have been done in suggestions. My stance on Regen remains the same. Regen needs debuff resistance against Regen Recharge End Drain Regen as is on Tanks is "Good luck with that."
  4. You can add a build into Mids. Import it to the Test server. Test yourself.
  5. Some of us like the challenge. I became a better player when I had to learn how to solo mobs versus leaning on teammates to help blow through content. I find sometimes I want to team because my build needs an audience.
  6. Starting a new thread is just being lazy. Add in it being a few days later. I get making builds isn't for everybody, but I just started to copy builds I liked. Took notes on what was used. Decided what worked for me, and went from there to where I can mostly do a build from the ground up. But a thread on Sunday and Wednesday asking for the same thing is a big ball of self entitlement. Worse case scenario would be to level the build using common level 25 IOs, and once you hit 50 decide what you want to work on with the build. Hell, just adding in ATOs with the typical one offs and such added in wouldn't be that hard to do.
  7. Posi 1 was done with 4. Posi 2 was done with 6. One person who I didn't know did add me as a global. I was just poking around on /ah and whatnot and got invited to a level 50 team. I grabbed an arc mission before doing Posi so I went back and soloed that arc to clear that out. I dinged level 27 by the end. Yin is the Weekly so likely that and maybe some arc content to have a good cut off time so people can make the Themed TF stuff. Adding Citadel might be a bit much. I'm fine for Merits so whatever arc content can be done. Once server transfers reload, I'll be set with adding in another character to get some work on them as well. I technically have a level 18 Claws/ea Brute here, but I might dual box them up a bit as well. I know Posi 2 was streamed. Is there a link?
  8. I don't expect them to do so. Apparently HC has ruffled enough feathers for that to never happen. My point is they could at least try on some level to gain talent which has at least some working knowledge of the code base you are working on. Me being me I would of had the various shard teams be their own community, but apparently that's so not happening for whatever reason.
  9. Somebody still got a live version of it. If that shard is on life support, and they all are, why not reach out to them and see about coming on over and doing similar work?
  10. My main here and the one I use for my avatar is a Claws/wp Brute. I have switched over to Claws/ea Scrapper as a badger. Agreed that WP isn't what you want if you want to push it as hard as you might want, but Claws is just flat out fun to me. If a boss can't counter KD, Focus alone can put them on their butt to the point zero or near zero damage is coming your way and that's with the added bonus of being from range. I still yearn for the day we get a Def based Willpower set in that it doesn't have clicks. I don't need a heal. DDR doesn't need to be top notch. Just want to toggle and go.
  11. I soloed red side 1-50 on an Ice/stone Brute. I see little reason why /elec couldn't be swapped in. The protection from End Drain is going to be huge the more you push the diff setting.
  12. My guess is by the time either did UE 7 would be out.
  13. Wind Control is literally in your Wiki. While it has been mentioned in one of the other code bases that their version might be a bit too strong for end recovery, that seems like a mild issue to hammer out. Also, it can be other bodies simply working on what you want to add in the first place but now just getting it done faster. Oh, I do get your point and understand why you guys are doing what you do. It is just frustrating to see the dev base for this game so split versus condensing it down and making HC even better. Tangent, Sonic Melee is practically on a silver platter right now. There's zero reason for it not to be in the running for having the fastest overall animations. I will be a sad panda if this isn't the next melee set added or ever at all. I feel like I should always mention it until it is fixed, but the "Last 5 bids" bug in the market code is really annoying. Find someone who can hunt that down and kill it. It was mentioned, but I don't think I thumbed the post, but Dev events can be big. Anything really to get an article written about CoH at this point is significant. I honestly see new people all the time. I do think player retention is important. How not to introduce someone to the game. See a level 1 in Atlas. Blindly invite them on a farm. Tell them to grab a 2x XP booster which they can't do since they are now on a AE team with a selected mission. I should have global blocked before I logged. How to introduce people to this game. Lead teams. If you are here, odds are you are one of the more knowledgeable people in terms of the game. You should by default be able to run a team at a decent level. Find out who is new to the game. Make sure they are comfortable playing the game. If you have extra currency laying around, it wouldn't hurt to toss a newbie some of it so they can grab something like TT. Lord knows if they did grab 2x XP boosters they might not know how to counter that aspect yet. Create chat on your team. Non talkative teams are boring. One can stream roll and chat at the same time. Do the things which make the game unique and fun. Frostfire is a classic. I ran an Atta which is also a XP dump with a unique map and someone remarked how many years it had been since they ran it. I unlocked the Wasting Disease mission. I plan on grabbing people for that. Certainly beats some mindless radio mission.
  14. It literally says 3 months later above MoonSheep's post. Yes, it is an old thread. I knew that. MoonSheep was even asking the people who included Thunder Strike in their builds about it. in the land of nercoing, this is mild.
  15. I'm merely posting for anyone looking later on. These forums are pretty good for people to necro topics. More so with Stalker threads as this is one of the slower sections.
  16. FU is easy to explain. Claws also blooms early enough and can have a tolerable end game attack chain by 18. Even by level 8, Claws can feel like you have something fairly complete at that point.
  17. *Sigh* This is what I miss out on while not looking into that area pretty much at all.
  18. I assume that was us. It was almost was 5-player. We had 6 for Posi 2. We had to show a person some things, but that was about it. Well, beyond a couple times taking on more than we should. :P
  19. On Rebirth. https://massivelyop.com/2021/04/28/city-of-heroes-rebirth-server-adds-new-guardian-archetype-and-new-powersets-with-first-issue/
  20. I looked at the site again last night, and it is a ball of "Hell no." The graphics look dated. I wish them luck in trying to make it succeed, but I won't get my hopes up.
  21. Both got reworked. EM is the ST king. EA is A tier. It has a bit of a psy hole, but I feel comfortable soloing on +2/x8 with my Scrapper when I just want to disconnect and blow through missions.
  22. Siphon Power is over slotted. It needs 2 acc at best. I can't recall if I added any recharge or not as Fulcrum makes it a lesser power later on, so no reason to invest 6 slots in it when other things have minimal slotting. Siphon Speed needs 1-2 Acc and 1-2 recharge. Speed Boost needs an End Mod in it. It gives enough speed and maybe too much already. Transference does no damage. You are wasting slots to get a bonus for recharge. I would rather have Performance Shifters in there. A Kin with a Chance to Heal in Transference is just so not needed. Fulcrum is simply over slotted. 2 acc, and 2 recharge are more than enough. Dominate, Mass Hyp. and Mind Over Body are criminally under slotted. Stealth and Grant Invis should have a LotG: +Recharge in them. The slotting and set bonuses don't seem to have a goal with them and ultimately don't add up to much of anything.
  23. I soloed across what I think is four story arcs going from level 1 to 9 on my both my Grav/ta and Plant/ta. Said arcs included defeat alls and Frostfire. I've soled them since then as well when I wanted to play them, but teams weren't happening. No, not all Controllers can solo as easily out of the box as those two can, but still. It can be done. Hell, I soloed on Controllers back in the day even on level 25 common IO slotting so none of this proc business.
  24. Another obvious aspect is that all Controllers sans Mind also become easier to do damage once a pet gets involved. Once Controllers open up Epics at 35, they will get more direct damage attacks as well. They can, if needed, add in something like Arcane Bolt for additional damage. Saying that, soloing them will be on the slower side than other ATs. However, they can do it rather safely as I can have a Controller go through mobs without taking any damage at times. The point isn't damage. The point is control and debuffs/buffs/heals. I don't think I have rolled a Controller on HC which I don't it couldn't solo if need be. Honestly, a big con for soloing a Controller is managing the end to do so which may take some time to get down.
  25. I actually skipped Propel on my Grav/ta since I wanted Arcane Bolt to light Oil Slick. With its ability to trigger a recharge, it can put out a decent amount of damage overall.
