  1. I don't have hands on with everything, and I'm sure I will hate the list after I post it, but yeah. Not saying things are ordered within the groups. I accept my playstyle impacts listing as slow sets are not ones I like. More so on a Brute. I'm too ignorant on secondaries. Energy Melee - Slower to develop, Best ST and moderate enough AoE keep it not being broken. Long animation. Radiation Melee - Animation times, IG is so good. AoE king. Spines - Anemic ST, 2nd in AoE, DoTs. Claws - Lethal damage, arguably better on a Scrapper with Spin having a faster recharge(more crits) and better use of FU. Dark - Animation time on Shadow Maul, lacking in AoE to a degree, utilities aspect can be made lesser with IOs/Incarnates, better on a Scrapper, see Soul Drain. Ice Melee -DoTs, GIS's DPA, some mitigation is more beneficial solo, etc, better on a Stalker. Katana - Lethal damage, sub 2 sec cast times for Fury building and the smoothest set. DA use can keep DPS down. Super Strength - Sort of ST heavy, better on a Tank due to Foot Stomp's radius and Tanker's target cap. Feels brute like Electrical Melee - Has pet, AoE Heavy, better on a Stalker Savage Melee - Has pet, weaker ST, heavy DoTs. Strong blender vibe. Street Justice - AoEs are on the small side, short animation times, better on a Stalker. Martial Arts - Poor AoE, great animation times sans EC, Storm Kick +Def, best on a Brute/Tank. Dual Blades - Lethal damage, combo system is a bit wonky/not needed, could go up with a high recharge build. Titan Weapons - Slowish without Momentum which feels anti-Brute, maybe over balanced from its peak. Legit don't know enough. I tried it at some point, but caved early. Could be 2nd tier. Fiery Melee - DoTs, the damage king that isn't, lacks mitigation for damage based set lacking in said damage Staff Fighting - Can be end friendly, longer animations, lower damage Psionic Melee - Damage type is boon/bust, some longer animations, Insight in need of rework, Boggle is quirky in how to interacts with Insight, DoT Stone Melee - ST heavy, slow, long animation. Liked it A LOT on a Tank back on live. Kinetic Melee - longer animations for the damage it offers. Battle Axe - Overly slow Broad Sword - Overly slow War Mace - Overly slow
  2. Bah. Just realized sets which have DoTs would perform better with a Brute as well so they would get a bump.
  3. * Depending on the mob and mission and at various levels of speed. My Fort cranks through +3/x8, but has had to lower the level at times. Controllers can be great, but there are more limited if you are looking for something to solo 1-50. Ill is great, but there is that waiting period until PA, and then you still need to get PA downtime minimalized. Fire is also great, but end heavy. I think a Plant/storm would be a great breakaway from melee, but again, end issues will be there even if you are on teams at times depending on the team. Others as a good gateway would be a Fort or Dark/dark and Earth/stone Dom. Beam is lacking in AoE, but is stellar for ST and AV hunting. Have a blaster with some AoE in the secondary and that should work fine. I currently have a Water/temp and a Fire/rad I love. I know Ice/fire has done a solo MofITF at +4/x8.
  4. There's a lot of "that depends" in there though. Like, what is the team size at that point? What is there vision for the game? Just because it goes commercial doesn't mean they suddenly have a dev team of 30 and putting out quarterly page releases.
  5. Alternate animations would be great. Rebirth I believe did it for Ice melee.
  6. I would be curious if anyone is in charge of bugs and the market code.
  7. If its a commercial product, there shouldn't be a cap. Not having a cap means they have the money to do additional things.
  8. Didn't they use Excel instead of an actual DB?
  9. To add, something similar to what Path of Exile uses as a web app where you can look at your character and link to it for others to view would be understandably awesome.
  10. It says what was used, but not why. A Def based build is going to look for different bonuses versus a Res one. If the most popular armor is of one type, then odds are that will show up in the most likely to be slotted even though it doesn't help the other. What happens if someone sees there's all these purples in a build when you can't actually replicate said build or it leaves the build overall lacking? There is a listing of what powersets get used. There was one stickied for what powers where picked. It would be nice if both were posted once a year.
  11. There's a few things which could be added if I were HC, but until the market code is fixed, it isn't worth much. I added another example of the pricing bug today to the linked thread. I know it is a volunteer group, but 2.5+ years is quite some time to allow this to linger.
  12. Needless to say, I was disappointed my 12 mill bid did not instantly go through.
  13. For farming, it depends on what you are trying to farm. If a S/L farm, then the build will essentially be the same as you are trying to cap S/L for Res and Def. If Fire farms, you need to cap Fire Res and Def as much as possible which means grabbing as many Winter IOs as needed. It would honestly require a second build. Epics can go in a number of directions. Blaze for Melt Armor and Fireball. Body for the auto powers which can be left with a single slot if you want more slots elsewhere. FA is there as well. Darkness isn't used that much as Soul is more useful. Weapons is "eh." Leviathan is similar. Soul is Moonbean and Shadow Meld. MU is Zapp and Bal Lightning. Faming wants more AoE. Non-faming can be a number of options, but Soul and Mu seem to be the most popular.
  14. They haven't logged on in a year.
  15. Attacks which have 2 recharges in them are taking away from end or damage slotting. On a basic level, ST attacks I 6-slot with 1 acc, 3 damage, 1 end, 1 recharge. AoEs, are 2 acc, 3 damage, and an end. DE and MC should be three slotted for Res. Did you even add in the fighting pool?
  16. I would ask the GM in question.
  17. It is underwhelming if you are looking at it from a straight damage point of view, but it also helps your teammates.
  18. I think I have seen some acc in it since people were also getting some heal in it. Again, my best experience with it is level 29, and I haven't peaked too much behind the data. My lean is getting some heal in it.
  19. I wonder how much that is from people coming back from the weekend.
  20. I tend to skip the T1 in a melee set for Scrappers. I would grab Repulsing Torrent and put the Sudden Acceleration: KB to KD IO in there. When in doubt, more AoE. I don't get the need for two travel powers unless there is some concept need for it. It is as easy as ever to find ways to supplement movement now days. Taking SS is rare for me when Athletic Run can be grabbed from the P2W vendor. No, it isn't the same, but I find it is enough for horizontal movement unless I have to stealth something. Gamma Boost and Stamina need a PS: +%End. Stamina could use a PS: End. Health is Numina's Convalescence and Miracle procs as a start. A third slot for another proc can be used. Radiation Therapy is Theft of Essence: +End as a start and makes Rad very end friendly. I practically don't look at my end bar on my Rad/ice Tank and she's level 29. Flavor damage procs with acc and heal as needed as it still needs to hit and the heal is really low without slotting since you need a lot of targets to get a genuine benefit from it. Beta Decay is Achilles Heel: -Res. Particle Shielding is 5-slot Panacea for me. The proc doesn't trigger enough since it has a longer recharge, so you'll skip out on the sweet 6 slot bonus unless you want to burn the extra slot for it. The proc is far better off in Health. Ground Zero is a damage set and or procs. Resist toggles are basically 4 to 5-slotted Unbreakable Guard. You can toss in the Aegis: 5% Psi Resist to help cover that area. Meltdown is good for the one shot Resist IOs. See more here. Outside of all of that, you want to cover the basics of capping Resists and Def as well as you can. Rad is end friendly and has built in +recharge, so aim for making it sturdy. I just noticed I don't see Tough and Weave pictured and those you want as well.
  21. Boggle is more BU versus Aim. While interesting, it still remains flawed. 1. The animation time is terrible. 2. It is still ST. On teams and ones with any sort of decent speed to them this is terribly lacking. I think a minimal fix would be to shorten the animation time and make the actual Bobble flagging AoE. The actual Confuse can remain ST. I'll add this info to my thread about fixing Insight.
  22. Super Speed and Force of Will can go with a default slot unless there is something specific you are looking for in terms of IO set bonus. Hasten can be two slotted with 2 level 50 +5 recharges. CJ and Maneuvers can be one slotted with a LotG Def/+Recharge, but that also depends on things. Some of your attacks are woefully underslotted, ie Burst. Health and Stamina could use more slots, but again, it depends. To be honest, if this is what your friend recommended in terms of slots, they should know what to put into said slots, but the number of slots is a mess. There's roughly 7 powers in your primary and secondary I would do the number of slotting differently. I see no epic, so is this even a level 50 build?
  23. To the OP, no. In a generic way, I just factor in how those sets get converted from a Stalker to a Brute and bump up the resist sets in how useful they can be since Brutes have a much bigger HP pool to deal with. Things like does a melee set use a pet instead of a direct attack as well is factored in since those are good for a Stalker since they don't break Hide, but bad for a Brute since they aren't impacted by Fury.
  24. Might depend on the mob. DB is lethal damage so it can be resisted quite often. Not sure on /dark. It is a resist based set which is lesser valued on a lower HP AT. It would help to post your build.
  25. Main: Without Pause Claws/wp brute. Name born out of Rebel without a Clause Younger sibling: Sneakers StJ/ea Stalker. Name came from wanting to do an anit-cape character. Template: Back on live a known player on Freedom and some other servers I believe had something very similar to this. Needless to say I have copied and modified this look more than I could imagine. Variation. Greyed Out StJ/shield Stalker. This version is from the idea of making a character look like they are on a B&W TV. Variation #2: Brian Blaze Fire/ea Sent. Variation #3: Ghost Striker EM/ea Scrapper. This and the previous one should likely have a different color for the bottom of the boot. Sometimes it matches with the gloves, sometimes not. Variation #4. Outsmart Fort. First time I used four slots before I was happy with the look. One I considered a good look for a lower level thug, but the build is 50 and nearly complete so, yeah. Yes, he needs a cape. I didn't know the default Widow options could be bypassed, so it took some slots to get where I wanted it. Variation #5: Power Sign: Time/dp Def. Inspired by all of the protests and such which where going on in the US at the time. Without Remorse Dark/ea Stalker. I found out the "trick" for making a tattoo look on live so had to do it here. Female tattoo variation. Without Hesitation Claws/ea Scrapper. Alt slots are used for changing the color of her top and tattoos. It just depends on what I feel like. Template #2. Blame watching Arcane. I haven't figured everything out, but I loved the looks in the show and having something with the blue Hextech via a weapon/power feels like it needs to be added.
