  1. Played a bunch of DA missions and wanted to whip whoever designed the Talons of Vengeance with a wet noodle. How about not being able to see and shaky cam. Squee!
  2. Some of us are just tired of the BS. I did the inspir before entering mistake as well, but it was a quick lesson, and I moved on. I also know enough to know how meaningless 130% def is in this game. Could have saved those inspirs when they saw how they weren't there after entering. Also, not sure if it was used because Ukase nor the OP mentioned it, but 2x XP booster is a factor here since you can level so much the leveling inspirs can carry you though those early levels. Again, I have gone from 1-50 solo farming a Spines/fire Brute and didn't slot anything until 22. I mean, MAYBE at 15 for common IOs, but certainly not at 7. EDIT: I didn't use marcos either.
  3. Counterpoint, Psionic will perform well once Insight is reworked because it is frustrating to deal with in current form.
  4. I did a bunch of /ea Stalkers to check out different primaries, but I think I might reroll the Ice to Ice/stone. /ea has a bit more recharge and Ice wants recharge, but we are talking 15% compared to 20%.
  5. Two attacks with annoying animations, BUT Atom Smasher and Irradiated Ground are really good to stupid good. Proc the hell out of IG. I might follow the path of my Brute and slot in a couple +KD procs for extra mitigation. Rad has the best AoE and isn't ugly like Spines. Not a super fan of click mezz protection, but I got a Rad/shield to 40+ although it is shelved currently. I assume I will get it to 50 at some point. I do enjoy it. I need to put something in it besides common IOs.
  6. I think StJ will be solid outside of Stalker, but it is best there where Claws is far worse. A big draw for me with StJ is just how well it flows. I am working on a Shield/stj Tank to see how well I like it outside of being on a Stalker. I love both sets so even if I pick one over the other, the other is still really good.
  7. That currently means for a level 22ish character where I am dumping uncommons and such I used to get to there. We are talking sets you can add at 7 and might have three of them in the whole set. I have used Croax's build before for my StJ/ea so this one will be highly like his except going for a bit more recharge in a spot versus the additional end recovery. I'll change more if I see it, but Croax's looked good at initial pass. I do need to go back and see what I might change on the StJ/ea build. I know more now versus when I default copied builds. Granted, I did tweak one build(Claws/wp brute) I saw in spots since there literally was no advantage to keep the slotting as is versus making some changes. Something like three slots total. The two slots from a set gave a bonus. If you switched the set to the same as the first slot, you got the same bonus as the previous set and a bonus for three slots.
  8. There's really no reason not to upgrade the ATOs to Superior. You'll need at most 12 catalysts to convert each of them, and they are easy enough to drop once you hit 50.
  9. News outlets would take care much of it, so Steam would be the primary way to do it. I do wonder if it would still be free with monthly donations or have a small fee as a buy-in. A fee might be good so it could be lowered for sales and get some added mentions during their sales.
  10. I didn't look into all of the changes, but I opened up the app and did an update from there.
  11. To be fair, I didn't see where the OP shared their exact build, so any attempt at replicating it would simply be that. I've teamed with the OP. If they are merely trolling on the forums, they are going full-on The Prestige level of dedication.
  12. I have yet to see a claim by the OP which can't be refuted through personal experience by myself or other players. I am absolutely convinced the OPs struggles are due to bad builds. FYI, I'm not sure why this wasn't pointed out before, but 2 slotting res in the shields is bad slotting. 1. Because the numbers for the Res is low. 2. The Res only covers Cold and Fire. You want three slots for Def. If you slot for Res, it is a one off IO, ie Gladiator's Armor: TP Protect/+3% Def. If you don't want to deal with IOs, then 3 Def and any Recharge/End you feel you need. See also Arctic Fog. If you can't solo a MM at +0/x1, then yes, the issue is you and not the sets.
  13. While I know it was Rad/kat versus Shield/bs, I was looking to dump DA once I hit 22 on my build as I didn't feel like it was worth it, and I had assumed DA was going to be a cornerstone attack to help Rad out in terms of mitigation. Maybe it was due to me playing red side, but I was dealing with a decent amount of ranged attacks so using DA just felt not needed outside of filling in an early attack chain.
  14. It lacks AoE. If Stalkers had better ways to gain AoE damage via their secondary it would be a lesser issue, but forcing players to get an AoE via their epic might not be ideal and it is a long wait or skipping on an MA attack to pick up Cross Punch. There's no reason why a melee set which defaults to quick animating attacks sans EC should be given seven ST attacks. Even a leveling build with EM and I can really only use four. End game builds for some sets can use three. But here's seven options for MA! I'm glad a number of Stalker sets got converted over well, but some of the conversions are mind numbingly stupid. See Claws. Not a super fan of the EM's conversion either, but if it kept WH, it would be EXTREMELY difficult to not default roll EM for a Stalker. Not a fan of it's speed, but EM hits ridiculously hard.
  15. Atom Smasher is there to generate Containment. I haven't swapped in other attacks, and I'm not a fan of longer animations, but Irradiated Ground and Atom Smasher carry the set. I do lose count how often Devastating Blow lands too late, but it does hit hard when it does land.
  16. EA, Stone, or Shield. I assume Stone based on early returns from others.
  17. I did a sub 30 minute Numina recently and it felt weird. Maybe more so since I got in a groove and tried to stealth the defeat all. Do the minimum speed run with TTs just kind of feel like the radios of TFs.
  18. I'm still working on leveling Ice, but I think it is in the conversation. Ice Patch works with its default slot. It is a pet so it won't break Hide. Frozen Aura's sleep is great for a Stalker since it pushes combat towards one-on-one battles which Stalkers specialize at. It offers a hold which can eliminate a troublesome target if need be. You can skip the unloved T1, and the other hated attack that is GIS is changed into AS, so there is a gain in conversation. It is easily the best version of Ice. Ice is also hardly resisted and my Tank has enjoyed that in his solo leveling compared to Kat. Again, it is early, and my slotting is patchwork currently, but I like what I am seeing from the set. Once the Winter Event is over and I'm not hording Winter Packs, I'll pop a respec on the build and clean up the IOs.
  19. Slightly odd as Irradiated Ground can take two +Chance for KD and can do a decent amount of mitigation with it, see Brutes who can use Fury to boost a damage aura for its damage.
  20. What kind of enhancements are we talking here? SOs are rarely used when dealing with level 50+ enhancements. HOs are far more popular. IOs can go above level 50 with boosters, but level 51 would be an odd one to sell or want since you can go up to level 55. And since I don't put bids on boosted level 50 IOs, they may remain listed as level 50. I honestly haven't looked. I look for attuned IOs these days so I can slot them asap and let them level as I do.
  21. One post below this is Croax's build thread where he covers a build for every combo before Stone was released so I would take a look there to gather ideas. Basically /ea wants type based def. Stone will want recharge, and you'll want "enough" end to run it all, but /ea makes that easier. I one slot ED with a LotG +Recharge. EDIT: Get what resist you can. S/L is at 69% on my StJ/ea, most other things are in the 20s.
  22. Fire/dark gets two ways to heal and recover end. Tohit debuffs and a Fear if that's your thing. And yeah, perma Soul Drain to which further abuses Burn.
  23. To be fair, using Dark with it is a bit of a cheat.
  24. The drawback is the lack of sturdy factor from the rest of the set. I'm a support player at heart, and FA is the one sets who's health bar is going to be consistently going down on teams compared to other sets. Maybe not to the point it faceplants or even faceplants a lot, but it certainly struggles more than other sets from what I can tell.
  25. I think the only heals it could work on would be single target so the end gain would be small and I assume one would be from the pet so I'm not even sure the player would get any kick back. EDIT: Single target in that where you are pulling the heal from.
