  1. They aren't popular picks from storm but ninjas need serious help, snow storm will slow stuff down thats running away and stacks with freezing rain (and stuff will try to run away) , and thunderclap despite only being mag 2 and good for minions and lieuts will be quite useful (and stacks with oppressive if you decide to go for soul) .
  2. Threw together a very rough build i lost my old one and can't be bothered looking for the toon i forget which server its on. If you have to keep cross punch i'd go for something more like this (you want some acc in slowed response and and time crawl wants acc/end you find yourself using it a lot on gm/av before you toss out time stop). Not sure i even took fighting pool on mine, a power boosted farsight gets you plenty defence and i remember /time can be pretty end heavy once you start spamming stuff. 3. Ah the AE vet levels thing was a bit of a joke. I used to play on torch a lot and one of the domi's there was silly high vet levels over 1000 and was proud of never having got a single one through AE and said to me one day "AE vet levels don't count" after i pointed out my 5000+ on a rad/fire. I assumed it meant working for your xp running tf/trials rather than simply sitting in AE as mobs head towards you when you can basically afk and level up. But yes i totally understand why you can love /elec it is as you say everything in one package i was only giving my opinion to the original post as to which would be more fun.
  4. If you got those 250 vet levels outside AE i'll be truly impressed, playing /elec that hard takes stamina. If you got them from AE then i'll just point at my fire brutes.
  5. The ability to dual box so easily with the set only seems to prove my point 😛 Theres nothing you need to do so where's the fun?
  6. I do tend to overclick them tbh.....why? Its elec and theres very little else to do with the set. I totally understand why players love it and i'm sure it can be very relaxing, i started with elec/elec corr then bots/elec and demons/elec and i only enjoy playing the corr and i'm pretty sure thats because once i've stuck on the buffs i get to use one of my fav attack sets. I love mm's but /elec just doesn't have anything that appeals to me. It feels like an overpowered set and not one you have to work at playing well, bit like rad armour or bio armour. I love that HC is constantly bringing us more of everything maybe its just me that feels like its missing the fun factor.
  7. I appreciate P2W stuff i just don't buy it on every alt unless i specifically plan to solo something tough the same way i don't like to use/rely on insps as it feels like i made a mistake with my build , Black Whip surprised me with the length of the fight i only posed the question out of curiosity to see how other players fared on pug teams.
  8. What Moonsheep said. Frost is a top power on any AT. Not so sure about dropping tough and weave, you can get hammerings on itrials when you wander off/find yourself alone.
  9. For me it comes down to fun over survivability. Nature is a fun set. Elec is 3 repeated clicks and occasional faraday cage...its a yawnfest on any AT. Your entire playtime is spent hitting your main 3 circuits, you won't die, your pets won't die, you can pretty much solo everything if you can stay awake.
  10. Ah that explains it 🙂
  11. So it can't have been Black Whip Glacier Peak soloed in 8 min unless the rest of the team was just watching?
  12. And i didn't realise you could start Kane up solo.
  13. The problem is you tend to advertise for a badge run and its a pug team, you send out the invites not knowing what you will get. Thats how most of the teaming works in coh. Thats part of the fun. And your pretty low level for Kane so you may not even have your -regen powers assuming you have them in a powerset. If you run it and everyones low level i was wondering how the teams fared.
  14. So 3rd time fighting her she was tough...well a long fight anyway earlier when i was using high dps scrappers (db/bio wm/bio). Run 3 on an elec troll with a domi and 2 blasters. Took almost 15 minutes. Is she supposed to be harder than all the SBB av's combined? Its not that she puts out massive dps but her hp bar crawls down and then you hit the other 2 av and they drop like flies. Whats that all about? How do people manage when they run this on low level/ungeared toons...is it just an epic fight or is there some sort of scaling?
  15. Going soul mastery? 2 words...power boost. It does wonders...for everything. Still prefer the corr to the fender version even with the downtime on soul drain.
  16. I run with /traps /ff /nature /dark. The /nature and /dark are the most fun.
  17. Ran a +4 itf , fighting pool was essential it let me stand mid mob without it i would of splatted repeatedly, same went for having a power boosted farsight. Still having endurance problems i'm tempted to switch back to cardiac. The only other option sems to be to play as a squishy at ranged and just dump times juncture which was great for mass herding in big teams and makes it much more survivable but isn't essential with an ill troll and doesn't go great with superior invis.
  18. Love what you've done with it especially without hasten. 19. Forgot the shield wall nvm that slot from DF gets taken out right away its not making that much difference.
  20. 21. I was having huge endurance issues at some point early on too i'm not sure why and initially ran with mu and power sink and cardiac.
  22. I hit perma everything without the ff+rech its just tossed in because i like a single target attack chain and i needed a pick to get power boost. I'm looking for more slots to proc stuff out like DF+TS without dropping recharge or dropping below 45% ranged/75% s/l that i got without powerboost but i don't know where to pull them from and i dislike that my blind lacks proc damage. I always skip flash unless i need somewhere to slot more recharge and i can only fit either that or TS in by giving up my travel power (not happening) or switching epics and dropping power boost which bumps my defences just shy of incarnate levels. I like the look of your build and the way you fit every power in but i tend to play badly/aggressively and will run around the map and aggro everything i see with TJ and pull back to the team so i need really high defences so power boosted farsight was a must have.

  24. Its nice to have a personal attack power i just don't see how to fit it in on an emp and i already dropped tactics in favour of assault and couldn't get group fly in. I like them on mercs mm's especially the grenade that slots the ff+rech and burst lets you feel like a bit of a blaster or having a couple of attacks from necro like gloom/life drain but i almost always leave them out of bots mm's only occasionally taking photon if i can for a little stun control but its an emp and i don't see stuff you can skip without thinking...why not use a different secondary if your not going to be a support/healing bot. Stuff like clear mind/resurrect would be the first things to go but CM is massively useful especially if you like to team up a lot and run lower level content. If the theme is to sit back and watch the pets goto work while you do what you want get group fly and take /dark or /ff as a secondary and just pew pew stuff from safety. Emp is a really busy set on teams unless theres a great kin there doing everything for you. For soloing /cold /dark /elec /ff /storm /time /traps require minimal oversight of stuff and let you get on with whatever you want and you can fit in more interesting power pools/personal attacks ( although /elec and its 3 click wonders will put you to sleep as you click and repeat over and over and over....but thematically its great with bots). If i were you and you intend to go ahead with bots/emp ignore everything anyone says and just take the powers you want, dump the stuff you don't and build from there. You'll end up with something thats fun and you enjoy playing and thats all that really matters in coh.
  25. If you scroll back through the pages (i know its a chore but its worth it) you'll find a good few heavily procced out almost 0 def builds (because they don't need it) that kick ass. For a long time i played bot or thugs or demons with /dark and felt they were by far the best combo but necro has taken over. Just hover about throwing out fearsome stare, dropping tar patch, howling twilight if needed although i usually save it for the big guys and spamming heal and gloom/life drain. Epic makes a difference-having oppressive running lets you move in and heal. Easily my favourite mm combo on HC.
