I've tried /bio, /fire, /sr, /shield, /energy....a lot of energy for the simplest of reasons. It requires minimal slotting to get decent defence numbers leaving tons of free slots to throw at epics/patrons which make it more fun. 6 slotted ball lightning from hide is just silly good. 6 slotted snipe. 6 slotted whatever. I just can't do this on any other secondary without leaving massive defence gaps. Throw a lotg def and a def+rech in most toggles and its pretty much good to go run that +4 itf kill all someone posted. 0 end problems. Energy gives you a massive variety of options to build in other power pools/epic/patron sets that none of the other secondaries can match and still be near unkillable. Having said that ice/sd is pretty awesome but my vote went to energy because it allows you to have the most fun with your attacks slotting wise.

Much as i prefer corrs over fenders i find myself playing the fender version more than my fire/na corr. I skipped cones on both i spend too much time in melee. Had to take agility for the s/l/e and perma hasten and i'm still 5-6 seconds off perma overgrowth which i think should be the aim of nature toons. I'd try fit in entangling if you can it makes it much more survivable when you do find yourself up close and it stops a lot of stuff getting out out of RoF range. I used to run an ice/ice as main on live and i always wanted an ice/fire which is what i ended up rolling on HC but it wasn't as much fun as i hoped. My 2 current favourites are an ice/rad and an ice/dark. As expected the rad just has to hang about in mobs and they melt but the new touch of fear is tons of fun on the dark i love the fast recharge time on it. I enjoy the posts i like looking at other players builds but i'd never consider using one everyone plays differently, i could never give up superspeed and combat jump for example and rely on sprint and one of the prestige powers to get about so my own builds are always going to have to skip some useful stuff to squeeze in travel. I don't number crunch, if mids says perma hasten or close to and 45% to stuff thats good enough for me. So please continue with the posts they give everyone lots of ideas and there's so few people playing VEAT's even if they have one now, you only regularly see them come out if someone announces an all VEAT team. -

Downtime on hasten was the first thing i noticed i don't know why i didn't point it out, i just assumed there was an ff+rech in nado but i don't know if they proc off av's or even if you'd use it in an attack chain vs one. -

Really enjoyed elec/bio maybe even more than the fire/bio, fire gets boring after a while. I originally ran with 45% s/l/e/ne/f/c but the damage with all those winter sets in was awful so when i saw brasilgringo's build i thought that looks interesting i'll give it a go. Had a few endurance issues running low level content and had to switch efficiency on a lot on a yin when the freaks drained end. Love the procced out tesla hold the single target damage is pretty good and ball lightning is great but i didn't enjoy the lack of aoe after a while so i modified it a bit after trying some high level +4 arach maps i was getting murdered and parasitic kept missing. I hadn't tried the new end mod sets much so i thought i'd give them a go. First thing that got dropped was voltaic i still don't like having to drop it over and over and the cast time is way too long. The psi epic was doing nothing for me without psy shockwave and i couldn't fit it in as i wanted short circuit back. So i dumped all my defence and went crazy with the end mods sets......and its amazing. Handles +4 arach no problem now if i can just get in fast and drain them and focus on the psi blasting forts. And liberal use of a few yellow insps-getting blinded is guaranteed death. Had the same problem +4 council, if they hit with a few attacks that do - to hit not having tactics in the build means everything just misses and they don't get drained and i die. Chain fences was a must have to stop enemies running away when drained. It looks super squishy in mids but somehow it just works. As i said its one of those combos i respec often trying out different epics, throwing in the fighting pool for leadership or just trying to find ways to manage the end issues without having ot take ageless or recharge issues without having to take agility. I haven't thought of burnout for it i think it has perma pa as it is at 50. Gale i i wish i had more slots for i'd go all out and slap every decent proc i could in it with as much accuracy as possible-when your running low lvl content like posi/synapse/mantis i spam it to keep mobs on their backs and team mates from getting hammered and even in high level content its often what i open up with if i'm waiting on PA arriving or freezing rain to recharge. As to the font i have no idea the spectral is basically being used as a mule for the set i'm not sure i even drop it that often. I have been running an elec/kin a lot lately and i get up to 4 fonts/mob out just spamming a few of the aoe fences, pretty sure the ill/storm is lucky to get 1 out every 5-6 times i drop spectral. As Area Man said above there are things that should be focused on which is why i change my build so often and i'm considering making a 2nd build on it with a much better single target attack chain although it has proved to be even more end heavy the times i've run ice/fire for the blast attacks as you tend to throw them out more when you have them in the build. Lots of things i don't like about current build such as the slotting in blind but its an ill troller and like all of them 99% of the damage seems to come from PA while your throwing out debuffs and controls. Storm is just one of those secondaries that seems to stack more and more and more damage on top of itself and is tons of fun. But its still not an ill/dark. 45% ranged was all i could manage and not have serious end problems so i was pretty happy with it overall but theres massive room for improvement. Hope it gave you some ideas and you come up with something magical and unkillable.

Cardiac incarnate instantly solves all endurance issues. Thats the simplest way. If you wanted to run musculature or something else you'd need stuff like recovery serum/ ageless destiny/ lots of blue insps.

I played a lot of mm's on live but the only one i continued playing to the end was mercs/traps probably because it lets you feel a little like an assault rifle blaster with just a couple of badly slotted personal attacks it was just fun. Here on HC i've rerolled it along with a mercs/nature and an attempt at a mercs/ff with group fly. The fix to mm pets that prevent them running in suicidaly to melee makes a big difference now its a lot easier to play a mercs mm and just hang back and watch them pew pew stuff so any secondary like ff/storm that keeps enemies out of melee range makes them fun again. I thought the mercs/traps would be my goto again as it was on live but so far the most fun i've had is with nature secondary watching enemies run in get entangled i can drop the heal patches and hop back and cone heal the pets and throw out immobs. Damage is still awful mercs definitely need some love but theres nothing to stop you having fun with them. And i'd still take them over ninjas any day, i've made 2 ninja mm and just like live i didn't enjoy them 1 bit.

I love traps mm's, the pace isn't as bad as you would think you just make sure your first to each mob, drop poison trap-acid mortar-trip mine, by the time the team arrives you can be throwing out caltrops and blasting stuff with empty clips to bump your recharge. I didn't want to mess about too much with your build it looks pretty good the only things i'd recommend would be dumping detonator for trip mine and taking scorp over ice and swapping spiritual for agility to just hit the magic 45% s/l. You did well to get there without the fighting pool. I'd find a way to get more procs in acid mortar and posion trap and caltrops. I know most will say don't bother with mm personal attacks but i do like empty clips for a little soft control and for slotting an ff+rech. My 2nd account turned into my farm account it runs in the background while i play my 'proper' toons. Its afk almost all the time and hitting silly high vet levels now. When i have rl stuff to do i jump my main in and doorsit for some xp. Rad/fire/mu brute double damage aura, - defense, auto burn patch. All i have to do is shuffle it in the Briggs cave map occasionally the mobs roam inside and if you just move a little to a choke point they come to you. Free inf and drops.

I've tried it on a few mm's, they are the only AT's i'd ever consider taking it on, every new toon hits null the gull right away and turns it off so if someones running ti it doesnt affect me. Its been useful for soloing av/gm on a bots/rad simply by keeping the pets out of melee/pbaoe range. Took it as a theme on a mercs/bubs and hated it it sucks wind like nothing else, needs some heavy end reds in there. There are no bad powers in the game just powers you have to find a way to make fun and playable. Except the medicine pool. That still sucks.

Ill/dark all the way, ended up being my main at the end of live it was all i played for a year and was on it when the servers died its up there as a top 5 combo in the game.
