Everyone has family ties, whether found, or blood relations doesn't matter as they are equally valuable. What kind of family does your characters have? Crys started a family of her own here in Paragon after her rather rough arrival. She's now a mother of four children and the teacher / watch guardian of two teenaged human girls. Her mates can sometimes cause in-fighting now and then, but they are very loving to the children they all look after, and sometimes funny things just happen. Her first mate poking fun at her through Ar'kun over the loudspeaker system in the Vanguard HQ, for instance. Her family is large, loud, welcoming and loving to those she adds to the number. She's adopted at least a dozen or more regulars from the Vanguard Mothership Raids over the last couple years, simply cause she could tell they were lonely and didn't have anyone to really look out for them. (Big sister/Mom mindset in a big way.) Specialist Mayday's family ties are a bit strained. Her father is a senator running for reelection after 25 years of service with the state of Rhode Island, and his influence was a pretty big reason why she doesn't raid as often as she really would like to. She's a member of The Sidekicks with her fiance', Timothy Kingsley aka Operator Kingsglaive and they've really come into their own as heroes in the make under Terran Commander's close watch and guidance. Her father isn't approving of her dating or becoming engaged at her age, she's only 18, but she and Timothy had grown up next door to one another and been in love for a couple years now. His influence on her choices is a if-y sort of balancing act. But she moved out of the senator's manor roughly a year ago and has been doing really well for herself ever since, independent of his campaigning and trying to use her to build a voter base among the heroes of Paragon City.

Microsoft gaming chief calls for industry-wide game preservation
Crystal Dragon replied to Hyperstrike's topic in Video Games
Why am I totally not surprised. (Seriously, after this entire summer, and late part of spring being nothing but Blizzard being charged with harassment, and records reflecting death threats to former and current employees by the current CEO? The entire company can burn.) -
Welcome back home, @coggy. I do hope that you heal swiftly, sucks to deal with breaks like that.

Everyone has a hobby, some are really common placed, and others are not. What type of hobbies does your characters have? Crys, she loves reading and finding a new book during her travels is always her goal when she's on an outing, whether it's mission related or not. You should see her library...

Areia was absolutely thrilled to receive a letter advertising the newest house being placed on the market this week. She and her partner had been saving up quite a bit of funds to be able to find a home that fits for them both and their needs for space, comfort, and natural settings and the photos of this particular home absolutely resonated with her, no doubt about it. She'd fired off a replying letter to Sidney to request an appointment time and day to meet for a tour of the prospective home, eager, and thrilled to see such beautiful architecture being created and shared with the world. Apollo surely had some hand in creating Sidney, of this Areia was almost certain of. Her talent to find just the right space for prospective buyers had to be a god blessed gift!

Funny you say dragon.* *This is no way is an advertisement to chase my main around the city, but hey, if that's how ya get your kicks, I'm game for that too. Ah but to add to the thread: I absolutely love running into characters that are as off the wall and multifaceted as my own are. There's just something really enchanting about finding a group of characters that just clicks with you and really digs your story telling as well as giving their own perspectives and story line threads to play with along the way.

So um, to preface this, I do take commissions, I limit myself to 20 commissions a month so I don't burn myself out. I do this out of enjoyment of creating art, and love of the game and the roleplaying communities own creativity. If anything is of interest, let me know! My limitations on renders is strictly human like characters, and I'm only able to do bust portraits at this time. I do this for fun, and tips are always welcome. My render of Ms. Liberty. Just my version of Risa Beem Austin's Shelob Mathais Scourgehammer from WoW (A friend commissioned this one a few months ago.) DZ (A gift that I hadn't informed her about yet...surprise DZ!) Specialist Mayday (Self portrait for Mayday, my MM robotics/EA alt.) Vincent Vail (My husbands alt.) Our one and only Gwaun the bugbear of Everlasting. (A gift cause I'm still learning the furry character rendering tool settings.) Wylde Fyre Kami, my IC adopted daughter. Raven Stormshadow (One of my wandering interdimensional characters.) Heartshot (She doesn't' know about this one either, lol surprise?) Self portrait of In-character Crystal Dragon herself in human shift. Firya Phoenix (One of my blaster alts) But yeah, that said. Here's my linktr.ee to reach out for commissions, or just to see my gallery and other sites I enjoy poking a creative stick at.

Decided to give a shot at rendering Areia's portrait on Artbreeder. I like the results actually, got a couple good ones that are close to her facial structure that almost fall in line with your own line art here! Two different gene sets were put to use for them. I quite like how they came out! Thought I'd share that you inspired me to give a comic style of render work a shot. -

Poll: What percentage of HC players played on live?
Crystal Dragon replied to Troo's topic in General Discussion
*checks themselves for socks, nope, no socks. No birkenstocks either, what are birkenstocks? Dunno, probably not a good idea to inform either. Goes back to munching on granola in their own garden.* What a nice moon... -

I'm thinking probably about 80%, maybe a little less? We've lost a lot of people over the last few years ya know...something to think about there. -
People complaining about RPing on an RP server?
Crystal Dragon replied to Greycat's topic in Everlasting
For the most part, there is never been an issue within the leads of CU's sponsored MSR runs, about Group Flight. It's pretty much widely known that we don't care if you have it or use it as long as you listen and follow the groups lead. If someone complains about it, there's ways to turn it off without asking the player using that power to do so. (NULL THE GULL, talk to him in Pocket D.) If you don't like having buffs, or powers effecting you, there's also a P2W power disabling skill you can obtain for free, and a reenabling skill as well. I hate seeing people complaining about Group Flight, as it's VERY USEFUL for MM's and their pets. If this is an issue for you as a player personally, do something about it by going to Pocket D, or get the power disabling skills from the P2W. Period. They do not have to disable their own power for you, and you do not have to sit there and tell them what they should do about their own skills effect when you have the means and the way to turn it off for yourself as a player. /angrydragonrantdone. Using color to highlight something here that SHOULD be WIDELY understood by players of Everlasting and those that join the Chaos United raids. We do NOT discriminate players using Group Flight, as it IS useful, and HELPFUL to mastermind players. -

Holy crap!! Dude, why are you not doing comics? You got some serious talent! -
*curls up into a scaley feathered ball and begins to snore after a few silent moments.*

I like that she's helping you learn how to Rp too. Feel free to send me a tell if you want further help with that, okay? What @PotatoLove is doing is very much inspiring more roleplaying on the server shard and her prices are very much fair for the work gone into the base build. I admire the creativity!

The Welcome Wagon for new roleplayers, and old!
Crystal Dragon replied to Crystal Dragon's topic in Roleplaying
Notice of Class Closure for the holiday season. It's not permanent. We are undergoing some syllabus restructuring and a topic shuffle on the planner, as well as time slot shuffling to sort out within the project mentors. We are still looking for active and willing mentors able to join us and assist new players learning to roleplay, and veteran players are ALWAYS welcome to join us and assist with welcoming the new baby roleplayers to the server. If you want to feature your super groups for recruitment, or want to suggest coalitions to join and social groups to mingle with for new players to get comfortable with and meet other roleplayers, we're always looking for folks to drop by as a guest speaker for the classes. Additionally, we would love to hear what the community thinks needs changing or updating with the program as we have it now. Feedback is ALWAYS welcomed, and having more of an idea of what the community wants and needs, will help us better adapt to teach. For now, over the holiday season, we will be eagerly looking for more mentors willing to commit and able to fill in for the 5PM and the 9PM time slots for an hour long class session, we have a guide to help with the lesson plan for each class night, so you don't be winging it solo without a clue, and we do sometimes sit in during the lesson when we simply just don't have the steam to run it ourselves, just to pitch in help and offer support. We're very flexible in regards to how the lessons are taught, and (thank you diva and wylde for this) love to see teams working together to make solid examples of the subjects we teach. Some classes will be held in popular spaces, leagues may be required in some cases, being familiar with the league UI may become a must for mentors in the future, but this isn't set in stone requirements. If you can teach, the world will know it by how you handle new players, and how you address fellow players both.
