  1. I use the slime one colored for water. Aquaphobia1.mp4 Never took you for a gnome! 😉 Actually, I'd like there to be a separation and sorting. Currently we have a lot of "shoulder" options that are actually neck options. Take the neck chains for instance. If we have them, we cannot have a shoulder option. In similar vein, I'd like the "shoulder" items that appear on the biceps currently to be a separate category, so we could have those (with asymmetry) and shoulder items. Additionally we have some bizarre chest and neck overlaps, especially in regard to neckties. Its actually possible to wear 2 neckties: one as a "shoulder" option and one as a shirt/tie chest overlay. Better definement would almost be equal to new pieces, especially if one was to be able to wear bicep, shoulder, AND neck options simultaneously. But if I have to pick something new, then either more shoulder protection choices close to the shoulders (not flying off into space detached from what it is supposed to protect) and/or high, close, tight collars:
  2. I'm not familiar with Bordizzo, but strictly on that photo, she does bear a good resemblance to Sabine Wren. She apparently doesn't have a deep body of work, so undoubtedly this will be her breakout role. IMDB.com says Bordizzo has a black belt in Taekwando, which is going to come in very handy when playing a signature Mandalorian. The voice actors did such a good job, I'm a bit sorry that they didn't create Sabine as looking like Tiya Sircar so Tiya could play her in the live role, like they got Katee Sackhoff to do for her character. For that matter, I could have wished Kallus was modeled on his voice actor, David Oyelowo, and for the same reason.
  3. Just saw the first episode of Hawkeye. Gonna watch the second on Thanksgiving Day to drag it out just a bit, so if I make a comment that doesn't jive with ep. 2 reveals, which some of you've already seen, you'll know why. Thoughts:
  4. I can do a cool backflip using Ninja Run in reverse, and although if left on it will end drain over time, it's not as immediately as devastating as some of the T9 powers. So naw, not sold yet. But thanks for trying! 😄 I step away for two days and end up unexpectedly with a thread discussion that has proven (so far) much greater and more interesting than I thought it would be.
  5. Doesn't stand a chance at really being soft until all the long task forces (*glares at Dr. Q*) are either broken into three pieces or or can be finished by a rookie team in 45 minutes or less. I suppose that's really my only "soft" spot: time sink factor. I love a good fight and a hard challenge, but I've only so much time these days. In the early days of MMOs the games dominated life. You were there on time for long Tuesday nights of raiding or the guilds kicked you. Now we all (hopefully) have some semblance of life outside the game, so the game must yield to that. If that means I get rewards easier so I log off in 1 or 2 hours instead of 5 or 6, so be it.
  6. Amazing! You guessed 3 out of 5! A-argon G-gas? I think it should be thinned out for our safety. *Hugs security blanket tighter* It's A Cat. Throw 'em anywhere and they land on their feet.
  7. Starting all the way back in the original game, I gave up on high level powers that sound great at first but warn that they leave you totally drained of endurance. A few went so far as to say endurance recovery would be a problem for a while. Back then, experimenting with them, I found the penalty to be greater than the benefit. But this is 2021, and we're a much more advanced-in-skill player base. I find it bizarre that the powers still maintain such a strong penalty, so might I ask that someone show me the merits, and possibly the penalty work-arounds, for these powers? If there are none, let me know that as well, and I'll raise the question of why the penalty hasn't been modified or eliminated then.
  8. Personally, I'm a big fan of Dieselpunk, Atomic Punk, Retro-futurism, pulp-era heroes, and movie serial sci-fi. Pretty much everything from 1920s to the mid-1960s, from Doc Savage to Flash Gordon to Johnny Quest. Many of my game characters reflect this. So I was thrilled when I discovered Retropolis: the Art of the Future that Never Was. The link is a store selling T-shirts, posters, coffee mugs, calendars, and other things with retro-futurism art work and catchy titles and quips in the vernacular of the time. The site is always fun to look through and the verbal gags are a hoot. "New, improved Science! Now with Death Rays!". It also has a Pulp Magazine Cover Generator which is fun to tinker with, as well as a Pulp Sci-Fi Title-O-Tron, where you can randomly generate bargain basement titles like The Mines of the Alligator Gypsies and Imprisoned by the Moto-Men of the Death Ray!
  9. Bus stop, wet day, she's stuck, I say Please share my umbrella...
  10. I'd add one other: comic speedsters vibrate through solid objects. It would take a massive amount of reprogramming, I'd guess, but having the ability to speed in blue caves without banging into every outcropping because I can vibrate through walls would be greatly desired. SS wall smashing is one of the main reasons I only have SS on a single character.
  11. Joker is known for his use of blades, and while we don't have a switchblade concept in game, perhaps a Dual Blade concept will work, especially if setting the weapons to some of the smaller blades like perhaps the tanto, or the faer dagger. Maybe even an occasional costume switchup to something a bit bigger, like machete. Joker also has a high willpower which sometimes plays out as a high pain tolerance, so if you're going for a Joker homage, might I suggest a Dual Blades/Willpower Stalker?
  12. That's an amazing name/concept. I'd have loved to have seen it.
  13. For me, its just a matter of thinking of the masterminds as interpretations of the "villain of the week" on the old 1966 Batman campy TV show. The main villain does not fight, save for the odd punch or chair throw. He/she is much more inclined to yell "Get 'em boys" and let the goons do the first while the boss moves back to an observation point. I've had a few concept failures, and I think they all come down to a lack of key costume elements. Two examples: The first character I ever had (and the first failure) was to have been an ice tanker with a polar bear theme, but the game just lacked too much at the start, and the result was just weird. I also have a long-tabled Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider-ish character, but I had to make too many compromises in costuming to shoehorn in the character as a dual gun wielder, and parts of the character look off. (The face hits the mark, though)
  14. Actually that's a surprise to me. A bit of spoilery talk:
  15. Frankly, I'm in the middle of a Snap. For me, the era of the 13th Doctor doesn't exist, precisely because I'd heard all the comments and decided that if I had to end my viewing with the magnificent Twelfth Doctor, I could live with that. So I pulled out my golden, gem-encrusted gauntlet and dusted a few years. It made it easier when I found out just how trashily they retconned the First Doctor in Peter's last outing. Nothing against David, he did the best he could with the rubbish the gave him.
  16. ...and once again, I'm totally mystified as to how that Paramount-CBS Star Trek relationship works. Last I'd been told, they'd decided that CBS would have rights to the TV shows and Paramount to the movies, hence why Paramount created the alternate Trek universe, to play in it free of CBS, and hence why CBS put Discovery on its paid channel. Apparently that was never accurate or is no longer the case. As to paid services, I'm really kind of baffled why we've not seen these sort out into more of a cable package service. That's pretty much what happened in the early days of cable, I gather. It only makes sense (to me anyway) that having umpteen individual services out there will mean that some will get left out, or will have to endure a monthly "bounce" as people like me on a budget choose to watch a different service each month remaining in a perpetual state of binge watching to get caught up with what we missed the pass few unpaid months. I'm currently utilizing the Disney-Hulu-ESPN arrangement as it sort of resembles a cable package, and have been with it longer than I was with solo paid channels.
  17. QFT. I'd watch an hour of lion-dogs playing field goal kickers. The movie had a lot of tropes and a lot of homages, but I enjoyed it. Tony Leung was wonderful. I was truly surprised that I wasn't repulsed by the character of Katy the Comic Relief. There's one thought that upon seeing the movie, I immediately gravitated to. Curiously, I've so far no found anyone else commenting on it:
  18. I see the P2W has set up shop turning off XP. 😉 Actually, once you've accepted the parallel, you can't help noticing things like Pet supplies and stores for the ice-powered types. Care to take bets on how long it will be before someone grabs the name "Laser Bounce"?
  19. I spoke it with a head cold. 🤧 Hmm...are they sure it isn't translated "dreadful desperation"?
  20. There's one other name not yet shown...
  21. SJ+Ninja Run in reverse. You get the Ninja flip at the top of the arc. Tram line jumping is fun, but the real challenge is the powerlines between power towers. When you've mastered it, then refer to line one, and do it on the power wires.
  22. I for one welcome our cheese-rewarding overlords. Got any Jarlesburg?
  23. That was on my list of obvious quotes about lists that I just knew were going to be listed. I've checked it off the list.
  24. As one who normally does not do number crunching, (I tend to be fine with "low, medium, high, superior, phenomenal cosmic power") I'm pleased to see this, though it does bring back an old question long bugging me: Why are the DoT's not all equal in dps? I've a hypothesis regarding psionic being less, but its just a hypothesis, and I'm not clear at all on toxic being set less than energy and negative. Why not set them all to the same level and let the player simply choose the flavor?
