  1. Just like the movie The Purge. One day out of each year, we can say whatever the hell we want to say to each other with zero moderation, and it stays for life. P.S. Merry Christmas! 😈
  2. Who is Bill Z Bubbles?
  3. Fair enough. Shaking hands on it. 🙂
  4. It isn't. Not sure why you took it there. Somebody was a smartass with me, I was a smartass back, then you chimed in with your cheerleading pom-poms. What's not to understand? Had nothing to do with KB to KD's at all. Not even in the slightest. People disagree with me all the time, but when somebody takes it over the line, I respond in kind. Always have, always will. That will never change about me. So people can thumbs down and all that crap if they want to, won't change a damn thing. I try to be respectful to everyone, but once somebody crosses that line, the gloves come off. Now, if people want to jump on me for it, so be it, I have enough fight in me for every damn last one of them.
  5. Not even gonna say what I am thinking. Pulling way too much heat, lol
  6. Oh, I see, gotcha!
  7. Depends on the team. On teams that like Knock Back, I can see it being extreme fun having 8 players all using knock back powers, the chaos could be a lot of fun. Hell, even I, the Knock Back Hater from Hell would love to get in on that action, lol.
  8. Nice of you to joke about things that others take seriously.
  9. I thought you could slot them for either regular pet enhancements on recharge intensives? That is strange indeed.
  10. It would be better if powers that did knock back, had a separate slot reserved just for said Sudden Acceleration IOs. I mean, if I am in control of my powers and how to use them, why can I not decide the severity of the knock? The largest complaint here is that players who don't want Knock Back, have to literally use up a slot to make it knock down instead. Powers with knock back need to have a reserved slot for this. Either that or it needs to be a toggle.
  11. Let's be real though, how many people actually complains to the GM's because they were kicked from a team? I wouldn't think very many, if any at all would waste time to report a player because said player kicked them from a team. Seems awfully petty if they did. Kicking somebody off a team is not something you would expect to get in trouble over. Even more so, who would even harass somebody because they used knockback? I can't think of anyone who would do that either. Worst case, they might say in all caps, "STOP KNOCKING BACK MY TARGETS!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT!!!" Most of the time they simply ask for said player to stop and if they don't, they kick them from the team, best case, the person who has issue with it, will leave the team like I do. So even if you were able to answer this question that Luminara put to you, I don't think the answer would be anything that would give any amount of evidence to support Luminara's point of view. Personally, I just think Luminara is just very lucky to not have seen these issues get brought up on a team, either that or they don't PUG very often. I don't want to call Luminara a liar, because I feel they are being genuine when they say they have never seen anyone get kicked or yelled at for using knockback, however, I am not a liar either, I have seen it happen on many occasions...even since this game has come back. Regardless, I seriously doubt any reports would have been made over such disagreements in play styles. But that does not mean that these arguments/kickings don't happen. I will say this much, the worst I have ever done personally is rage quit a team when playing as my Tank because a player absolutely insisted on using Knock Back AoE's. I finally got sick of it and said, "You don't need a damn Tank, you need a catcher's mitt..." and then dropped team.
  12. Foot Stomp never did Knockback. Hand Clap on the other hand...but with a KB to KD in it, it's wonderful now.
  13. Why would Foot Stomp get you scolded? It's a Knock Down unless you Foot Stomp Clockwork.
  14. I fail to understand how, but it would seem some forum posters (I won't name names) never see this type of chat in game. Makes me wonder if they ever even read chat. This type of conversation in a PUG team particularly is far from uncommon. It makes me wonder if that isn't a copy/paste of an actual chat log? If not, that is pretty much how those chats end up going, haha.
  15. And I won't be doing that. I'm not on trial here and I won't be wasting time and effort to find something you could easily find yourself. I'm sure the burden of proof is on me, but then again, I am also sure that many people have seen for themselves players getting kicked from teams or yelled at for using knock back on teams in game. I will not be wasting time to search for something that most others have already seen for themselves. And honestly, let's say I had the time to do all that, would it even change your mind in the slightest? Probably not, so why bother?
  16. Logic was used on both sides...the problem is, is that nobody is listening. Luminara doesn't have the high ground here because the primary logic they are using (nobody gets hated on for having knock back on teams) is flawed and dead wrong. Luminara is sticking by the statement even though I completely disagree with it, so there is not much to be won here and the conversation is at a deadlock. However, the "logic" you are cheer leading is completely based on false assumptions. Edit: I seen your follow-up post, so you see the same flaw in the logic that I do.
  17. Oh hell yes, I could get on board with that, lol
  18. I think there are a ton of fans of knock back who would disagree with that statement, hehe. You should see the knock back thread on the general forums popping off, lol. In any case, I am just about to just take the KB to KD out of it and leave it like it was. It was far more damage mitigating without it than it is with it. I mean, it had to hit some of those targets up to around 8 or 9 times before they would finally knock, that's a bit much for my taste. Edit: I take that back, the first mob in that video, that one target was hit 19 times at which point I showed my slotting and power choice after...so at very least, 19 times he was hit and still did not knock down, lol. Yeah, that is way too much for my blood.
  19. Only if the KB to KD IO still negates it down to a KD instead of a KB.
  20. But muh give-a-shit-o-meter! It's going off the charts! Haha. I hear ya, my man. I simply leave teams that have player who play like that, that's how I deal with it. Rather than make a stink and rain on the guy's parade, I simply bow out and move on. That's the best way I can handle it.
  21. That's pretty much exactly what it is. Two different play styles that have never mixed well in this game...and it probably never will.
  22. Rather than going back and forth with you, I will just say that I completely disagree with everything you wrote here, even down to the part where you said nobody has ever complained about being kicked off a team for using Knock Back. You are still going on about how a secondary is useless and comparing that to me saying that a secondary gets hate from members of the community and forces players who don't wish to be a hindrance to their team to use a slot in a power to slot a KB to KD. I simply can't argue against that because we simply disagree completely on the example you provide to back your argument. If I can't even agree with your examples, I won't be able to agree with your stance on the argument as a whole. So rather than going back and forth and quoting specific paragraphs, I'll just end this with a hand shake and say, let's agree to disagree and call it a day.
  23. You make that sound like a good thing. You think I enjoy sacrificing slots just to negate the secondary? Sure, it's great to have that choice, but it's not great to sacrifice other things to do so. Your +Acc in Archery is literally not being hated on by anyone...like at all. Not once have I ever seen somebody on a team ask you not to use +Acc, heh. You are comparing a Firebird with a Pinto. Not a fair comparison. Ummm, you are missing one key component. Theme, concept, it all matters in this game. Since Solarverse is indeed an Energy Blaster/Tank in my comics, Energy is the only choice for him. So it was either accept that it has KB, or don't create him at all. Sure, it was a choice. But so is a company telling you that if you leave the building just before a tornado hits, that you will be terminated from the company. So yeah, leaving is a choice, but then again, it's not really a choice if you want to keep your job, is it? Same thing here. You either play it as is if you want the theme, or you don't play it at all. Sure, having KB to KD IOs is great, however, considering that no other secondary affect on any other powers is hated on, not even a little bit, powers with KB do not deserve to have to sacrifice slots to make it KD. So your point really doesn't negate anything I have said. Hold up, I didn't blow up at anyone. At best I gave a tongue in cheek joke if nothing else. Maybe you are referring to some argument I have had in the distant past, but I have not even gotten in to a heated debate about this in well over a year or two. No blowing up here, I am simply giving my thoughts which I feel have some validity to them. Again, you are comparing a Firebird to a Pinto. All other secondaries are beneficial to all teams. Nobody ever complained about Dark's -ToHit. Nobody ever has complained about -Recharge from Ice, nobody ever has complained about -Defense from Rad. Not once has a leader of a team kicked a player off the team for having any of those. Which secondary affect has been given complete hell since day one of this game? Knock Back. So no, it's not bulls**t one single bit. I have a valid point, a valid argument and comparing apples to oranges doesn't really make a great counter argument. Again, check my history, I am fairly certain that I have not even touched on this subject in a year or better. I hardly think I am obsessing over anything.
  24. In the very beginning when it was announced that they were adding KB to KD IOs, I specifically requested that they give us a way to do so without wasting a slot for it. I showed that no other secondary affect from any other powerset requires you to sacrifice a slot for an IO that negates its secondary affect. So until we get either a 7th slot that will ONLY take a KB to KD IO or a toggle that switches back and forth from KB to KD, I'm always going to throw shade on it. Keep in mind, my main is a EN/EM Blaster, so for me, it's personal, haha.
  25. That could very well be the case, however, I fail to see how that would be OP, but having a perma Knock Back is not OP. Sure, they can run at me again if I didn't have the KB to KD IO, but they would only find themselves being knocked back yet again. To me, slotting a KB to KD IO is no more or less OP than not having it. I don't have it for the OP ofit, I have it to prevent mobs from scattering all over creation if I go to move up to catch my own Transference in a team, heh. I'm not saying that you are wrong, chances are your explanation is probably spot on, but I am arguing the validity of the reason used by the original Devs if that is indeed why it is working in this way.
