  1. You'll never get a job in Hollywood with that attitude, mister! 😄
  2. Unfortunately you can't. Each beacon has a unique ID number and they are listed in that order when displayed.
  3. People forget, or more likely never knew, that at the time NCSoft bought out Cryptic the City dev team had been reduced to around fifteen people. NC poured a ton of money into setting up Paragon Studios, without which most of the game we love would have never come to pass. While I have no love for the way NC handled the shutdown, we shouldn't pretend they never did anything for the game.
  4. When running a mission with the Challenge Setting of No Travel Powers, the Shinobi power (Blaster > Ninja Training) is turned off despite it not actually granting any movement buffs.

      • Thanks
  5. I just spent a few minutes testing this one. I can confirm that when Shinobi is active entering into a tram, Wentworths, or the vicinity of a base portal will trigger the present opening emote. As will using Inner Inspiration. Activating Shinobi once inside those areas does not trigger the present opening emote.
  6. This one puzzles me as well. Even with a nice, convenient base portal, Echo: Galaxy City was always dead. Requiring extra steps to go there seems pointless.
  7. I never played with R_M, only chatted with him here on the forums once or twice. But his guides were, and still are, an invaluable resource. The quality of care—and love of the game—that he put into each of them was outstanding.
  8. Unfortunately the latest news isn't good.
  9. There could be a badge for, like, not earning any badges.
  10. This is horrible news. R_M has been a great boon to the community, pretty much from day one. I hope he makes a quick and full recovery.
  11. The Beyonder. Because if God is giving you powers, why muck around? 😁
  12. I'll never forget years ago, back on live, a group of us were invited on a base tour. You could immediately sort the base builders from the casual tourists because while they were all oohing and aahing over the Fusion Generator (which, to be fair, took PVP rep to earn so most folks hadn't seen one) we builders were all fawning over the room's doors.
  13. Somehow flying through the doughnut in Faultline never gets old. Same with top of Atlas.
  14. @Dacy, as someone who spent years working in an arcade, I must say that is nothing short of amazing.
  15. I guess all of these would fall under the heading "old" by now: Astro City by Kurt Busiek Atomic Robo by Scott Wegener Empowered by Adam Warren The Golden Age by James Robinson and Paul Smith Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Alan Moore and Kevin O'Neill Love and Capes by Thom Zahler Mage by Matt Wagner The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke Planetary by Warren Ellis and John Cassaday PS238 by Aaron Williams Top Ten by Alan Moore, illustrated by Gene Ha and Zander Cannon
  16. For me, it's Masterminds. The archetype is well designed and does exactly what you'd expect based on it's name but I just can't get into the playstyle. No MM I've built has made it out of the twenties.
  17. Equally unsurprised—disappointed, but not surprised—to see the the usual tired rationalizations being trotted out to celebrate the suppression of other's speech.
  18. Or, just to offer a crazy suggestion, grown ups on the internet could act like grown ups and not get hysterical over every little thing that rubs them the wrong way and then demand that the GM's "protect" them.
  19. The best place I've found to hunt for monkeys is on the islands north of Peregrine Island. There's an abandoned lab complex that's overrun by them.
  20. Punching Nazis just never gets old.
  21. Are you in RWZ or in Echo: Rikti Crash Site? Homecoming moved Ace to the later.
  22. Good point. I'd assumed the OP was asking about the goldside titles generally.
  23. Sadly, you cannot. Only characters who start goldside can get them.
  24. You can't say I never took you anywhere.
