Just let folks know that you are new and have questions. While there are some elitist jerks, I think you will find the vast majority of players will be happy to walk you through whatever questions you might have.

issue 27 Focused Feedback: City Zone Adjustments

I like the new additions, but I still think that Rando Cal Tipsian, the administrator of this facility, should give the rundown. 😁 https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx0rhrAD58g4tTOhPNgDRTDiZdQxRWjDwX Sorry to nitpick but one repetitive phrase was replaced by another: [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: Nah, I don't need to do overtime today. We've got some good heroes on the job. [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: Nah, I don't need to do overtime today. We've got some good heroes on the job. [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: Nah, I don't need to do overtime today. We've got some good heroes on the job. [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: I really should take more breaks to catch up on the gossip. [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: Nah, I don't need to do overtime today. We've got some good heroes on the job. [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: Oh. Nevermind. It's one of the heroes. [07:34] [NPC] FreedomCorps Soldier: Nah, I don't need to do overtime today. We've got some good heroes on the job. -

I don't know why we bother testing and offering suggestions when the Devs have already made up their minds! *Reads Patch Notes* -

Just posting to confirm that I was able to obtain these two badges via Ouro as stated in the patch notes. I remember running these way back when and being shocked at the implications. A nice piece of lore that deserves to stay in the game. Thanks for adding them back. Pecking Order - Complete the badge mission "Lost Motivation", listed as arc 0.42 under 'Champion (Level 25-29)' bracket in Ouroboros. Traditionalist Foil - Complete the badge mission "Revelation: Rikti Factions", listed as arc 0.43 under 'Vindicator (Level 35-39)' bracket in Ouroboros. -
If AE farming for Vet level rewards goes away, those that do it will either move to a different kind of farm or stop playing. It depends on how many of each of those two groups there are. One will keep generating those rewards, just slower. The other will eliminate one source of the supply chain altogether.

While I would like for there to be an easier way for active accounts to keep their names, I would NOT like a system that automatically set all my characters to zero days online whenever I logged in to any character or whenever the query was run. I use the time logged off as an indicator of when certain characters deserve some game time.
-
I have no problem with an automated system to free up names that have been and may remain unused for a long time. However, I am concerned that a purely automated system with no governor or regulator may lead to offensive name claiming (see my post above) or a new name squatter that doesn't mind logging in periodically. I think there should be a limit to how many names an account can claim in a certain period of time. What I don't know is what amount is reasonable. One name claim per month per account, perhaps?

I think that would actually be an interesting experiment, assuming that all the proposed AE changes go live, for one server to be kept as it is currently. Let players literally vote with their feet.

Considering that many of us have been playing this game for 18 years . . . Also considering that it took me several months to get my first 50, but I never want to go back to that. -

I think that part of the data-mining part of the problem is that there are outliers and then there's a whole other tier of outliers beyond that and it skews the data. For example, there is a huge difference in getting from 1-50 +T4 in say 80 hours of playing regular content, 40 hours of farming, or 5 hours of elite farming. Personally, I am OK with 5 hours being too fast and OK with 40 hours. But if even that is considered too fast, then I think we need to make regular content faster and make both of them 60 hours. Again, I'm just using round numbers to make a point, not to state these are the numbers or should be the numbers. -

I disagree with this. There is certainly an incentive to get things quick in AE farms, and some people only farm for those rewards and some for other reasons. And yet, people still do TFs, Trials, Raids, Story Arcs, and other stuff multiple times every day. -

Should the AE be 10 times faster than any other content to get XP and other rewards? If not, what should the proper amount be? -

I think that AE vet XP (and even regular XP) could be toned down a notch AND non-AE content XP should be toned up two notches. That increases incentive to leave AE, reduces incentive to only farm, while still leaving both methods viable and enjoyable for those that like them. -

9) Relaxation - Once you get into a rhythm, farming can be soothing and meditative. 10) Being surrounded by enemies and mowing them down makes the player feel super. 11) Not having to wait/deal with other players. -

Guys, I can understand being upset at changes to something you like. I don't like them and I have said so. But the sky is not falling. No one is kicking you (generic you) out or preventing you from farming from 1-50 and including your I-power slots. The only reward you aren't getting is Vet experience, which also equals threads and Empyrean Merits. That's not insignificant, but it's also not the end of the world. Other changes do reduce the amount of XP a non-50 gets. But some of those can be regained by adjustments to your farm and build. The new aggro change might end up being a net gain or at least close to par if your clearing speeds are increased, making the XP/min higher.
