  1. My Ukase Requires Candy?
  2. https://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/MURC
  3. Seems to me that the new marketer should be happy he/she doesn't have to compete with Ukase. Enjoy your retirement, old man! *scurries off to fill Ukase's niches*
  4. I submit for consideration the use of one or more global channels to recruit for raids/events and/or use your global friends list to politely ask your buddies if they would be willing to temporarily transfer a character over to help out now and then. I don't think you'll get a giant wave of people doing that, but if you got 5 to 10 good players that's more than enough to make or break a raid. Personally, I wouldn't want to merge servers unless they got to single digits worth of players on concurrently.
  5. I tend to make a character and play them all the way to 50 and usually 50+3. I currently have 40 level 50s. They all belong to the same SG and, as others have said, I use the Bins for storage of frequently used or very rare IOs (eg. ATOs, HOs, PvPIO procs, etc.). I also use my only salvage storage for catalysts exclusively. It's super convenient to hit 50 and then run to the base to grab a dozen to several dozen catalysts to make my ATOs and WinterOs superior. Once one of my characters hits 50 I usually get an idea for another pairing or a name that implies certain powers and start work on a new character with a starting gift of 200-300 thousand inf. When I can't think of anything new, or sometimes just for the heck of it, I'll log in each character starting with the ones that have been logged out the longest. I'll then check their /ah for sales and purchases and craft/convert/sell some new stuff; see if they have any catalysts to store, and then check their accolade and incarnate status to see if I want to work on those for a bit before moving on to the next old character. I also will check their day job status before logging out using the BadgeSetList popup. See here: I don't delete characters, or strip them. In the history of CoH I think I have deleted two characters that I played - a plant/thorn dominator that I made right when CoV came out but I could never get into it, and an AR/Devices named Osama been Hidin' that got genericed and it killed the vibe. Other than that, I sometimes have a craving to play a certain AT or powerset, or someone asks for something in particular for a theme run or hard TF and will use the search function to look by AT or powers. Anyway, that's what I do. It may or may not work for you.
  6. The HC Discord also has a weekly chart here - https://discord.com/channels/572090223115239444/578851574412214272 I wonder if anyone has older screencaps of that page or if they are archived anywhere.
  7. If, for whatever reason, this request cannot be done, could we at least move that dang pop up box off of the center of the screen?
  8. I tend to buy attuned enhancements for most of my build and slot them as soon as I can. That way the build levels as I do and I get the benefits of all the set bonuses on the way up. I sometimes use purples in the final build that I slot at 50, but still use some other attuned set on the way up. The sacrifice is that I then can't boost those attuned enhancements, but I tend not to use boosters too much beyond generic IOs, like +5 recharge in Hasten or +5 endurance reduction in Assault.
  9. While there were certainly PvPers who were rude and poor sports, to be fair one must also acknowledge that many PvPers were verbally abused for the mere act of engaging in PvP without uttering a word.
  10. Where?
  11. Damn. I'm sorry to hear that. I don't think I ever played with him but I've certainly read his posts on the forums many times. Always sad to hear of another hero passing, but I guess that is part of getting older. RIP, Rathulfr
  12. Pre-13 PvP was fun for me and made more sense, but it was broken in different ways. There were always certain powersets and combos that were greatly superior than others and a few powersets and combos that were just terrible. That's still true, but some of the premier and bottom tier combos have changed. I would not want a reversion to I13 nor do I wish for their to be another complete re-do of the PvP system. The current devs have been working with the few dedicated PvPers that remain and have made some requested changes to improve PvP based on that discussion. I support that continuing. If you want fun, easy, relatively fair but competitive PVP try getting a group of people to roll new toons up to level 5 or 10 and stop. No IOs. That's fun as hell to me.
  13. So we're different factions and we're different speeds. And different ATs have different HPs. It's obvious you'll own me though I've done nothing wrong. I only want this badge so what could I have done?
  14. What if you reverse the polarity of the blilateral kelilactirals then route it through the Heisenberg compensators? That just might work!
  15. I have a Poison/Ice Defender at 50+3, Toxic Flea, and a Plant/Poison Controller, Biotic Flea -- also 50+3. I find that Poison pairs particularly well with Ice and Controllers as it has some strong holds that can stack with others. The biggest problem poison has, IMO, is that [Venomous Gas] is the premier power of the set but it's quickly detoggled if you get mezzed. That's why I also like using [Rune of Protection], [Indomitable Will], and [Clarion Radial Epiphany] to keep those mezzes from happening. While I wouldn't mind a buff (can I have Traps version of Poison Trap? Pleeeeeease?) I think it's a fine set that is underrated.
  16. That number doesn't include global acc bonuses. Just like clicks don't show the recharge from Hasten or other global bonuses. So what you have is .8 x 1.18 = .944
  17. For buffs, Knives of Vengeance Radial is my favorite. The Boss also has a significant debuff that does a ton of damage. For farming, I and many others like the BP radial as the untouchable pet is the only one (that I know of) that does any damage at all. And that damage is great at drawing aggro. For AV/GMs you want significant -regen and/or -res on top of damage. Longbow Core does the -regen and decent damage and BP Core is very good -res and DPS. But I also like the robotic drones, especially for ranged and flying characters as they like to stay at range, do energy damage, and a bit of -regen. Since they tend to stay at range, they last surprisingly long, especially if you are buffing or healing them. I've tried the others for theme or just to try them out but I tend to go BP, KoV, and Drones more than any of the others.
  18. All powers that can do damage. It might be further limited to those that can be slotted for damage, but I'm not sure.
  19. It's +Special, like Clarion Radial and Power Boost, so it does also boost defense. It's not 27.68 extra added defense, but whatever defense you already have gets a 27.68% multiplier boost for a minute. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=pool.experimentation.adrenal_booster&at=blaster Hmmm . . . Now I want to make a build that juggles Power Boost, Clarion, and Adrenal Booster. See Mezmera's post below: I logged in a character with Adrenal Boost, monitored defense, and then clicked it . . . nothing. No change at all to defense. I wonder if the error is in the description in the game (+27.68%% strength to defense debuff) or on CoD (+27.68% Base Defense)
  20. I agree with much of the praise given to sorcery and experimentation, so I won't repeat them except to say that Speed of Sound does not have the -threat that Super Speed has. That's what allows you to be essentially invisible to most critters with SS and a stealth proc. So don't be surprised if you pull some aggro while running by with SoS and some stealth. One other point not made on Rune of Protection is that it provides mez protection, either used proactively or retroactively, meaning that you can get mezzed then click it to "break free." I tried to like the changes to stealth pool. Infiltration in particular appealed to me -- basically ninja run with some stealth added on. But the fact that half of the defense suppresses in combat soured the deal for me. Other than Sorcery, my next favorite is the new and improved Teleport pool. Combat jumping is just a ton of fun to pop in an out of combat -- especially on a Blaster with Burst of Speed! Combat TP also briefly boosts Tohit so you can slot a Gaussian's proc in it for a chance to boosted damage just as you come face to face with the enemy. Fold Space is the new star of this pool. It teleports up to 16 critters from 100 feet or less away to you. I love it on Traps to drop things into my kill zone and on Tanks/Brutes to pull all the action to me and my AoEs. They also combined Teleport Foe and Recall Friend into Teleport Target, so that you can teleport one critter or friend to you.
  21. Can you still turn on "SG Mode" even though prestige isn't a thing anymore? Maybe it got clicked on accidentally? EDIT: I went in and killed a critter in non-SG mode, then switched to SG mode and killed another critter. Both got XP, so my theory is shot.
  22. I have to throw an Arachnos Crab with all the pets, soft-cap defense, and high recharge (aka A Crabstermind) as a contender for AVs, GMs, Solo, and team. Although it has limited debuffs compared to a defender, corrupter, or controller, it leverages a little -resistance with a TON of DPS to take out hard targets incredibly fast. And with all the double leadership buffs, it makes an excellent teammate as well.
  23. I think a "Weekly Story Arc" or otherwise designating different arcs for bonus rewards is a great incentive for people to try new and different content. I realize that coding it may be a pain. OH! What if we could have a highlight on a random Ouro Arc (like we have for the WSF in the LFG tab) and that arc gave some sort of bonus reward.
