Buying and selling the same thing is flipping. Buying a recipe to craft isn't flipping; it is value added -- you are spending time and resources to make a thing a better thing. Same with using converters -- you are turning junk into good stuff.

Snarky, it is impossible to corner the market on salvage. All salvage of the same color is bucketed together so all uncommon salvage are basically the same. Sometimes too many people buy and not enough people sell causing a spike in prices. Sometimes it is a person or group trying to manipulate. But it doesn't last long. It's not sustainable and those that try usually end up in a loss.

It's about an 15-60 minutes or so a day. Log in to alt, hit /ah, collect sales and purchases, then craft/convert/list new stuff and put in new bids. Then either go play or log into second alt and repeat. The time range is based on how much stuff you craft/convert and how lucky you get with your conversions. Some days you are lucky and almost every conversion is something that sells, other days the RNG gods feel like torturing you and your clicking finger wants to fall off. Sometimes I just run through several alts and do that and also move them for day job badge purposes. It's fairly mindless, needs no team, and sometimes it's just nice to visit old characters and see what they have or might need. Other days I just log in and play a character and do the craft/convert/sell at the end of the play session before logging off.

I'm conflicted. While I agree that LFG and Help should cater to looking for groups and seeking or responding to requests for help respectively, I also occasionally feel the need to post that "extremely witty reply you absolutely have to make." On LFG its usually just that one off remark because, as Oklahoman says, Excelsior LFG chat is very busy and comments scroll by quickly. I'm guilty of doing it more often and more in depth on Help. But I'm also constantly answering questions on Help. Help channel usually doesn't scroll by as quickly unless there is some discussion going on. It usually does start as a question and ends up being a debate among a few players but sometimes it is just playful banter. While I agree that it can make it difficult to get help, I make it a point to respond to any questions made while I am engaging in the banter. Finally, I find that "take it to general" is as much off topic as anything else posted to those channels. I don't monitor General, don't want to monitor General, and won't chat on General.

I would make Caustic Flea and send him to the Hellions fighting between the buildings that starts the Matthew Habashy arc with a tray full of revives. Then I'll feed all those Hellions to level them up and laugh as the new level 1s come by and get slaughtered by the level 10 Damneds I made. Because I'm a jerk that way. Actually, I'm not. But I bet other people would do that.

I don't have a problem with Hurricane graphics and I have taken a few stormies to 50. But I do tend to pick colors that minimize the effect somewhat because I like to see my costume and what is going on around me. I don't see why we can't take the OPs word for it if he/she says a couple of people have mentioned to him/her that Hurricane makes them nauseous. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to think that a spinning disk of fog might make some people ill . . . or hypnotized!
