A change I'd like to see: Let ice patch take slows/slow sets. It's weird that the second most important power in your kit besides arctic air can't be enhanced to do it's thing, but the cheap knockoff versions the melee sets get can. -
Not anywhere close to as bad as you are attempting to frame it. If anything, the game's general rewards need a buff overall.

I prefer this to the AE changes in the last build, seeing as how I can hardly remember any time I've ever felt compelled to convert empyreans into regular merits. If I want reward merits, I know how to get them fast without any veteran level shenanigans. In short:

Would we be able to ask a gm about the status of a name once this is in place? There's a few I have been trying to track down and I have no clue if it's a hoarder, or an inactive. As for the system itself, I think it should be a little harsher to the lowest level bracket, particularly 1. I'm on Everlast, I get ro chars exist, but if you can't even be assed to level to ten, you don't care about that character, let's be real. Making playtime a factor would probably clean things up considerably, if it could be done.

I think the damage overall is fine and should not disrupt your ability to control with proper play, but I agree that the confuse would be better off as a non-notify ability, unless it gets more to make it viable as a mid-combat focused power. -

At the end of the day, support classes, especially defenders want their big -res back. Give them that and you directly tackle the bulk of the complaints with the rework. It's hard for me to take any potential 'concerns' with the stacking -res on the development side seriously when there's already so many more ways to do that with sets that aren't devoted to -res like sonic is. -

My vote would be on dark, probably. Though I don't see the cones being too much of an issue, just open with those before you dive in. Most of the trash should be dead before they wear off. -

Alt animations would be fine for some sets I imagine, I don't really understand why this one would need to be jettisoned. Think HC finally has a grasp on how to craft new sets. The others felt like they were too afraid of it being strong, where this and Sonic Assault feel appropriately tuned for the modern game without being ridiculously OP, like some other servers tend to make things. -

100% These changes are good for a blaster, but as expected, fall short for the other ATs. -

If such was the case, these threads would be useless. I think you have a good point here, and share the same criticism for certain powers this change modifies. -

I would roll this one back until a general pass could be done on rewards involving the rest of the game, at the very least. A very unsightly blemish on an otherwise mostly good patch. -

I like how we have another control set where damage is actually decent, now. I don't subscribe to the idea that every control set should have weak damage. I like the set, personally. I'm not sure I care about the confuse notifying, it removes a very powerful strategy that mind and dark can utilize. Definitely think it's high-time we look into adding pet controls to doms/controllers, that would help this set out a lot, as well as others. -

I'd like shout to cast a bit faster or hit harder, still seems a bit too slow for it's output. Lacking a snipe, the set's only really quick and snappy heavy hitter is shriek. -

It's clear it was an attempt to address ice control's pathetic damage, even for a control set. Could probably stand to bump that aspect of it up a bit, and I do agree that it should be able to take slow enhancements like every version of ice patch can, considering how ice slick is supposed to be a roided out ice patch. It's a good start though. -

It looks weird on some costumes, but on others it looks fine. Parkour run is going to be my main stance for quite a few characters. 🙂 -
