  1. Nice run on that Yin this weekend with you and your friend. Certainly stay up to date on our discord and in channel. Don't be shy. Even if you and your friend are just running normal missions speak up in the channel. Lots of people will join you for all sorts of content. See you in game.
  2. This is the HC wiki that was started a while ago. Not sure if it is fully up to date: https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Main_Page
  3. It would be nice if in the future the devs are able to increase the base storage values and/or allow the SG leaders to open access of storage to coalition members. Personally, I just sell everything. Inf is transferable easily so it is way faster and easier to just send a new alt 1 bil than to bother trying to keep all the salvage, recipes, and IOs that I may want in either a personal base or even the SG storage we've put in our main bases. I just buy whatever the new character needs as I level. Sometimes it leads to a bit of frustration when a particular set item isn't available on the AH at a price I'm willing to spend but then I figure I just buy a different version and convert to the one I want.
  4. Glad to see people interested. As the original post states join our discord and we can get the recruiting process rolling.
  5. Probably dropped down along with everything else converter related. I know normal converters have been hovering around 70k for a while now and even catalysts are under 2 mil. Relying on a one trick pony for influence generation is usually not recommended. As with real life, diversify. Spend time playing converter roulette or just sell off any recipes that have decent value in the market. It isn't quite like it was when the servers were fresh and everyone was building lots of toons. I'm sure if we get an infusion of new players the market will rise again.
  6. Because I do it any time someone asks 🙂
  7. This bug is why when buying IOs I always start a bid at 500,000 and then go up 500,000 until I purchase it. I've seen this more and more recently and it can be annoying especially when trying to gauge how much to list an IO for. I've started listing most enh for 5 mil and then if it doesn't sell by the next time I log in I start lowering the price until it does. Obviously I've gotten to know a few of them that I know won't sell ever for more than 1 or 2 mil. Those I usually just sell the recipe and don't bother crafting. Here's to hoping at some point one of the code warriors will find and fix this annoyance.
  8. I tend to ask up front if everyone understands what to do. If yes, leave it at that. If no, then offer to explain what to expect. I usually wait till the first team wipe before offering suggestions. If the team takes them, good. If not, well then I'm reminded why I rarely PuG.
  9. Blue side has the same thing. Once you defeat 25 named villains there is a contact in Steel Canyon that allows access to any of the safeguard missions. I forget the name and can't look at the moment.
  10. Oddly enough my SG just recently did a "Nature" themed ITF that was mostly plant dom/controllers with few earth thrown in. Was good fun and a solid run.
  11. Vet levels are a good post 50 reward. I like that I can get some useful things for continuing to play my favorite toon. Unlike a lot of players I do not suffer from altitis. I have a total of 17 toons of which 16 are currently 50 and 10 of those only exist because I wanted a toon for my SGs themed events. I don't plan to make a whole lot more. So having some reward for continuing to play toons that are already 50 is nice. Badges for vet levels past 99 would be interesting but beyond that I wouldn't change anything about the system as it currently stands. As for incarnates, I think that is a different concern.
  12. Bump ... because.... reasons.
  13. Bit of self promotion: We don't allow any politics, religion, or other social divisive discussions on our discord or our in game global channel. We only ask one thing, that you enjoy playing the game with others that enjoying playing the game in all its fun facets. Check us out... Which reminds me... need to bump that thread again.
  14. The main problem with rogue and vigilante is that depending on which alignment you chose you have to remember to not go to Ouro or a base if on a mixed team. The game kicks you off the team if you enter a zone that checks for alignment. And don't get me wrong, I use Null all the time so I wouldn't want it removed from the game. I just see it as part of the issue with one portion of the game being less populous. As for players not knowing how to use it, all I can say is that I had no idea it was there until 3 months after the game was back. I found out because another SG mate was going to run a SF and when I mentioned I had no villains they said "Go use Null the Gull to flip". And yes the same can be said of a lot of zones blue side. I can't think of a time since coming back where I passed another player in Boomtown. And the only time I even venture into Boomtown is when doing a Synapse.
  15. Personally I see two main problems with redside vs blueside: 1.) ATs are no longer locked to side. When CoV first came out the only way to play a villain was to be on the redside. This meant all the new shiny hotness was on that side so naturally the players flocked to it. Now we can play any AT on any side so most just run blue cause that is where all the other players are. 2.) Flipping sides no longer takes days or weeks. I'm all for QoL changes but Null the Gull is part of the problem. I'm a bit spoiled in that the SG I'm a part of is fairly large and while I can't say we have a lot of players that run redside most don't mind switching if that is where the action is for the current play session. A mention in our SG global channel and a redside SF or team fills almost as fast as a blueside one. Players are constantly broadcasting that a patron arc is about to be run if anyone wants the badge. Another SG we coalition with has a specific event each Wednesday that exclusively runs redside content. I agree with the sentiment that it is harder to get motivated to play the villain stories because in game we are nothing more than lackeys. We never get to be the "boss". Another thing that I always felt was a miss during Live was that villains were never able to invade the blueside and mess up their efforts to thwart us. But content isn't really the issue since at any time we can flip back and forth. Personally I'd much rather just do away with red/blue/gold and merge all zones together, leave PvP flagged zones as is, and be done with it. No more alignment. Of course given point #2 above we already have this solution. So the bigger question is "Why don't more players flip back and forth?" That I don't know.
  16. @justicebelieverThanks I'll try that out later when at home. That will at least get around the issue for me since I am the only one that uses my computer. As others have said, this isn't about dangers of using passwords in a public setting or on a public network or even for remembering the password since I use an encrypted wallet for that. I have my own setup and do not share. As @MTeaguepointed out it is a convenience for when I mistype a very long password. I also wouldn't be opposed to them moving to a two step verification process but I'm sure that would take quite a bit of doing.
  17. What is this auto login "cheat" you refer to. I know the game itself remembers the user name, but it doesn't fill in the password for that user as well. It really isn't about the time it takes. Its just more of a convenience that a lot of other password protected programs have started to include.
  18. Yeah combat kill for large scale things is probably tough since I think there is a limit to how many reports actually make to each player in proximity at the time. Teaming is probably easier since there are only a max of 8. Maybe use a random obscure badge and put in broadcast that the first 5 people who come to see you in Pocket D that have the badge get 100 mil inf. On live they used to run TF races with prizes. That was always fun but certainly takes a bit of organizing and not easy for just one person to run and verify. Make a really hard AE set of missions and have a race to see who can finish the mission fastest. Not sure if there is a timer for AE but could probably be done with chat log time which is how they used to do the TF races. Send a tell to start and send a tell at finish and the time difference was the race time. Granted people with a fast load time will have a minor advantage but still should be good enough.
  19. Thanks for the info. Guess I don't play my MM enough to have noticed that.
  20. It may not be feasible to change the current respec process, but it would certainly be nice to have a process that allows the player to start with their current build and simply add/remove powers/slots. I know when playing a new power set I tend to take all the powers and then respec at the end to remove the ones that didn't work as I thought they would. It would be nice to just be able to swap that one power without having to re-slot all the powers I am going to keep. Also, it would be fantastic to have a "Remove all Enh" if there are enough unslotters in the players inventory. Having to click, hold, then drag the enh away is a real pain when there are 50+ and I don't want to just respec to remove them all.
  21. Would need to double check, but wondering if the incarnate shift applies to mastermind pets. If not, would be nice if it did.
  22. Searched but didn't see this suggested. I would like to be able to click an eyeball icon on the log in screen and see the characters for the password entry rather than the dots. Sometimes my fingers miss one character and instead of just correcting that simple mistake I have to erase the entire string and type again. Granted I could use a shorter password but that kinda of defeats the point. Along those lines, also would be nice to be able to change the password from that screen.
