Good intel, thank you! I tend to use my merits for Converters for conversion roulette, Winter IOs, and Purple Recipes. Never thought purples would be so low, but to be fair I do check the purple price before using merits. If the price is over 20 million and I want the purple NAO I just use merits. That being said, I look at it slightly different. Merits are free and I can earn 200 merits a day by doing a Hami raid and a TinPex, so I will typically run that content until I have all the purples I need for a character and then go back to normal marketing.

Agreed, I think Thunderstrike is underrated. I usually slot it for the ranged defense but the other bonuses are all useful.

You could also consider a DP / Ninja Training Blaster. Equilibrium did have a sword fight at the end. Although my DP / MC character is an Equilibrium / 97 Steps homage character.

I'm actually playing my 2nd DP/MC now. I skipped Burst of Speed on both. Well, I had it on my 1st one, but never used it so respecced out of it. My 2nd DP/MC I went down the Inner Will and Rune of Protection path and am finding it quite good. Both were built for 45%+ Range and S/L, so survive pretty well. I still get a kick out of Ki Push and then shooting the baddie as he flies through the air.

No, I don't consider most powers that build up additional effects to be hokey. Combo systems are fine, Sentinels are great (usually). I specifically called out Storm Cell as a hokey gimmick because you have to lay out a Location AoE to get effective use of your powers and then it slowly follows you, Another hokey gimmick I dislike is Reaction Time where you get a recharge bonus if you deactivate the power. I love MC as a set, but dislike that type of mechanic. Anyway, I apologize to one and all if I offended anyone with my use of the word "Hokey". I will now go back into my box where I don't post for fear of offending people.

Out of the new sets that HC has developed, which ones are fun to play and strong enough for all content? Fun to play for me is to not have hokey gimmicks like Storm Cell.

I went into the base on a lark with a new character and was amazed! I have never seen a base that big and don't think I saw everything. Well done, that must have taken a ton of effort and all the supporting players you had were awesome. I especially liked the 2 dolls that were thinking about "playing" with me!

I might also suggest picking a character that is survivable, especially if you plan to solo a lot. Nothing more disheartening than getting defeated and having to run back from the hospital over and over.

Just finished this one and really enjoyed it. I used a Claws/SR scrapper with T4 incarnates. I did not have inspirations when I went in and did not get any drops because I had them set to large only (now changed to add medium). Thank you for the arc! It has been quite awhile since I have done AE content and was happy to find a good AE mission arc to whet my appetite to try more arcs.

Same, I really liked SWTOR but it was always one step forward three steps back for me. I basically gave up when they gated best in class gear behind the high end task forces.

I would agree, but we have the Shadow Shard TFs for long TFs. The TFC badge requires Synapse, so I generally have to do it, so it would be nice if it was smoother. Besides if you split it in half like Posi, you are still doing the same amount of total time to do it, it just makes it a bit easier to juggle. Now that is impressive! I usually solo it because I can run it faster solo than with a team, but still takes me about an hour. Sometimes I split it between multiple sessions because those back to back missions are so boring...

I hate doing the Synapse TF, but suck it up for the TFC accolade. Does anyone know if the Devs looked at splitting this one like Posi?

There used to be an attack chain window where you could evaluate the various attack chains. Did this get removed or moved in the app?

I usually like to play at range with S/L and Range capped. I have a Defender that is Time / DP and was trying to make a Corruptor with the same powers, but was hoping it would hit harder, but the Def / Resist wasn't as good. So thought I would check. I do have a BR/Traps at 50, but the play style was slow. Maybe Corruptors are not a fit for my play style I guess.
