  1. Changed some of the slotting, as I wasn't thrilled with Confounding Chant's slots. got the same(ish) defense and 10% more recharge out of the build. Controller (Symphony Control - Trick Arrow).mbd
  2. Had some fun. Take it or leave it, here's a build that's "effectively" capped Range and AoE Defense with 65% global recharge. I say effectively because I rely on the 11.4ish% unresisted to-hit debuff from Flash Arrow to get you there. As for Alpha slot, something I didn't mention. Intuition Radial goes SO WELL with TA.   4. Love me some TA... haven't played it with Symphony yet, but I've got 10 different TA toons, most of which are 50. So I can comment on slotting there (there's also a decent TA guide by @KaizenSoze Anyway, here are my own thoughts on Trick Arrow. First of all, I like to build for recharge on TA (and some defense to stack with Flash Arrow), so take note when I give certain set suggestions. Entangling Arrow - if you've got slots to spare, 5 slot it with the Immobilize purple set. Put the Chance to Hold proc in there instead of the Immobilize/Recharge IO. If you don't have the slots to spare, a single Accuracy will suffice. Flash Arrow - I like 4 slots of Cloud Senses for the recharge bonus. you'll want to ED out the to-hit debuff as half of it is unresistable, it works the same as armor basically. Glue Arrow - meh... I like it, but usually only single slot it with a recharge or a Range/Slow IO if I have enough global recharge. Ice Arrow - People will tell you to proc it out. You can, if going for a strong damage build, I personally like to put 4 Basilisk's Gaze and 2 Lockdown (including the +2 mag hold proc) or 6 Lockdown for the armor. Poison Gas Arrow - If you've got the slots to spare and haven't slotted the sleep purple set in your Symphony sleep, 5 slot it here, otherwise 1-2 recharge is good. Acid Arrow - Ideal world you want at least 2 Accuracy IOs and both -res IOs (Achilles' Heel and Annihilation) Maybe even 2 Defense Debuffs as well to let you hit through tough targets. But I usually end up with just 1 accuracy and the Achilles' Heel proc. Disruption Arrow - a single end redux if building for recharge, a single recharge if not. Oil Slick Arrow - I like 5 Ragnaroks (skipping the knockdown proc) EMP Arrow - again, depending on how I'm building either 4 Basilisk's Gaze 2 lockdown or 6 lockdown. The worst thing about TA is that every power is good enough that you don't want to skip anything.
  5. I like Poison/Water. Is it an outstanding combination? No, but it's got some nice synergy and by tinting the water the same color as your poison debuffs you can make it look like you're a poison blaster.

  8. You're right, because the chat log doesn't show seconds, it's kind of useless... but here's a screen shot showing the two proc simultaneously.
  9. So, I've got a /Martial blaster that has 2 Power Transfer: Chance for Self Heals slotted (one in Stamina and one in Reaction Time). I see in my combat log that one fires very regularly, but I never see two proc together. I know this does work because on my /Devices blaster I've done the same thing and I've seen both proc at the same time.
  10. Gauntlet provides a 5 target AOE taunt on single target attacks. You'd also still have your taunt aura.
  11. The reason that you can only have 1 auto power is to limit AFK fighting. Yes, AFK Farming exists, but if you could set multiple attacks to auto-fire it would become a lot more common and faster, something the devs don't want.
  12. Dampening bubble wants to be ED capped for defense if you plan on taking your toon into stuff with -def. Defense IOs in it increase the DDR that it provides. If you have enough global recharge you can get away without slotting recharge in it. Power Boost is nice on FF, and I'd probably take it if you're looking at HM content.
  13. I know this is the tanker forum, but I'm going to focus in on this part for a moment. Should Scrappers and stalkers ignore their armor? Should Blasters avoid using their secondary set, where some of their most powerful attacks are? Not to mention build up and their sustain power. Should Corruptors only focus on blasts and never (de)buff? Should Dominators only control, even though they are a DPS class? Those questions may sound absurd, and that's the point. Why should defenders and tankers ignore their secondary when no other AT does.

  16. I've got a Martial Arts/Regen/Soul brute that I built to be as study as possible. Never actually finished the build because I never really got that into the character, so he's languishing half built at 50.
  17. no, it will not wake a sleeping mob. it will, however, cause them to aggro (even though they are still asleep) that's what @Uun is referring to
  18. Ice/poison controller would be up there if you crank the difficulty. The end cost in the sets would not fare well for your blue bar. As for Empathy defenders, back on live I regularly solo'd my Emp/Energy/Psy on Invincible (remember when that was a difficulty?) just to prove that I could. on HC I changed him to Emp/Energy/Mace, which less safe solo, but far safer on teams.
  19. Silly question, but, are you slotting for accuracy? A single Accuracy SO (or 30+ IO) will get you to 95% chance to hit against +0s. And that's before the defense debuff in Venomous Gas (which I think is auto hit). Maneuvers/Assault and Tactics is another good choice, as biostem said, though poison can be a bit end heavy, so running two of those toggles can hurt the blue bar, but hey, two leadership picks means you can get Vengeance!

  21. Many stealth-like powers don't get as much of a stealth radius as Stealth does. This is because a few pages back the devs combined two powers in the concealment and added infiltration. I suspect you'd be opening up a can of worms if energy cloak got a buff (BTW Energy Aura doesn't need a buff) without buffing every other power that is similar in nature (Cloak Of Darkness for example) And if we buff those powers, we need to look at buffing the stealth IOs, since they would then be less useful, and power creep continues.

  25. I tested this out with Power Analyzer this morning and your are right, the -damage is always there
